Did you take a look at the post I did, about Ro's hands? I put it up yesterday, I think. Bea has the hands, I was gonna order for Ro. The Hand 7 ones.

i saw the comment, i didn't reply as i was saving it for here. i totally forgot to take a pic of the spare hands.. and when bea sawyour post she screamed "nooo! he can't have my hands! i like them!" referring to the ones she's using, not the spares. xD

No, I don't want the ones she's using. I'll order my own pair of that sculpt. I just want non-chubtastic hands for him.

she says he's welcome to her spare hands, if the resin matches. i can't remember which two were hers though.. xD
on a separate, but still doll-related note. i believe that for my xavin doll i shall buy a ns lishe with the exact body type i want, no faceup (plus option parts all at the same time) and dye the pieces myself to get her the perfect shade of pale black-girl tan. then i could also try body blushing and doing a faceup. xD all things i've wanted to try at some point. and with my utterly neurotic nature, i could totally handle the 10 hours of fine-grit sanding it would take to make the colour apply perfectly. heart what do you think of that?

I think it's an enormous project that is really risky because of the dye, but you could do it.
You could also look for a Tan Lishe on the usermarket. Just saying, that could be an option.

i'm looking forward to it. i'll spend the next several days reading every bit of information i can find on the process. it should be somewhere around 15 hours of work. i'm looking forward to it very much. i also know you can remove dye mess-ups with rubbing alcohol or non-acetone nail polish remover.
and i don't want a secondhand doll ever. not because they're lesser dolls, but because i don't want any residual soul sticking to her, you know? i want her to be exactly what i've envisioned for her, and nothing less. i want to sand, dye assemble, blush, and do the faceup for her. i want to be part of every step of the process. heart

I have two secondhand dolls, and both of them are just fine. One had never been removed from his box, and the other lost all residuals after a few months. I wouldn't have been able to get either one brand new, and I wanted them both too much.
I still prefer to buy new, if it's an option, but I'm not above secondhand dolls. :3

again, i'm not saying there's anything wrong with secondhand dolls, and i understand that's the only way to get some of them. for me though, i wouldn't want anyone else's soul-ly fingerprints all over my baby. it's a territory issue more than anything else. xD

No I understand where you're coming from. It just seemed like you were looking down your nose at secondhand dolls from the first post. If you say, that's not how you feel, I trust that. *cuddles Yo-SDs*

yeah, yours are fine, others are fine. i kinda like some of the dolls you can only get through the secondary market (or extremely limited pre-order) such as the unoa lusis, but since i'm to impatient to wait, and a sore loser on top of that, the pre-order fights aren't for me, and the territorial "ugh, somone else loved all over you and i can feel it.." is just too much to keep me from ever getting one. i'm okay with that.

The pre-orders are alot easier to get into now. You just have to be okay with waiting up to 6 months. xd But yeah I know what you mean. I just had to defend my pre-owned babies. I see now that you didn't mean anything offensive by it.

i doubt i'll ever get one. kyu finds them somewhat hideous. i just can't quite bring myself to be willing to wait a few months to find out if she's really mine. if i do it all myself, it'll be that much more of a special bonding kinda thing. whee have you looked into the self-tanning process? there's a good guide to it on bjd wtf. xD it just looks ridiculously fun to me. heart

Nah I balk a little at the idea of trying to tan a doll myself. Not that I don't think it's possible, but I don't really want to try it. I hope you enjoy the process and your results. :3

i plan to take photos every step of the way. you can experience it without having to risk one of your babies. xD or maybe you can come over and help me do it. if you're back by then. by that i mean i'll do the dying and you can snap the photos. heart
