*she shrugged a bit coming in closer to him than before to stand on tiptoe and get a better glance at the imp, a grin lighting across her face as she recognized the creature* I loved Sun once Vahn, I still do in a lot of ways... in my heart this has always put him on my list of people that I will protect... I ask nothing of him in return, although for this little trick he is going to get a bucket of cold water dumped over his head at the least xp *she laughed softly and dug around in her pocket, pulling out a sucker that she had tucked away for Brendan and holding it out towards the imp*

I know that I hold no claim towards him, I have no one but my children now... and who knows how long I will have them? sweatdrop but you are right, I need to sleep if I am to help the injured around here...*the wind died off and the little elemental smiled a bit sadly as she looked up at Vahn and the imp* I will try not to be a hindrance....

"Suit yourself." Still shouldering Tellus, he stared towards the thing that had once again shown itself.

"Is that yours? I saw it once before...."

Unlike anyone else, he was bereft of any abilities to track, sense, or feel people. If anything all he ever relied on was his natural instincts...but other than that, he couldn't do squat.

Not that he was complaining about the lack of being able to do anything.

He merely grunted at her request for candy, as if he was really walking around with a small bag of the stuff for special occasions. He came to a halt, as someone stood in their path.

"Dain...."

The old man stood there, stroking his beard and grinning, his tunica fluttering lazily every so often. "Well, now, I didn't think you'd come back so soon. And with women of all things!"

"Stuff it.... their friends."

"They have powers just like Vahn!" hibon blurted out, as he took his grandfather's side.

"Oh? Interesting...."

"I need your help....she won't stop growing cold."

Dain studied Raven for a few moments, before turning his gaze on to Tellus.

"Ohohohoho.... stranger and stranger we get, the deeper down the rabbit hole we go."

"Look, at any rate, they came looking for Sunstrike."

Dain closed his eyes and resumed stroking his beard. "Things are bad right now, Vahn. We've lost a lot of people....and the council is already on the verge of tearing itself apart."

"This whole mess started because of those broken mask guys!"

"I know that, that's why I'm telling you we need to be careful!" Dain shouted back, visibly annoyed, but relaxing as Vahn backed down. "It will do us no good to just rush blindly into the fray.... we need to regroup...and people need to heal."

"Tch."

"Put her down...let me have a look."

Slinging Tellus off of his shoulder, he placed the woman onto the nearby cot, letting Dain have a better look at her. He seemed overall unaffected by the growing cold.

"Strange....is she conscious?"

"I wouldn't know." Vahn looked to Raven.

The moment that Vahn was no longer touching her, the air in the room swelled with heat once more, even as her body continued radiating cold. As if she was so cold, she was on fire...or perhaps so burning that she was cold. Odd that...NO matter the case, it wasn't a good thing in the least. Even as she slumbered, not unconcious, simply a deep and heavy sleep mind you, her hand reached for Vahn, her blue tinged lips mouthing the word "Efreet..."

The normally blue haired woman's hair lay limp about her, now black as coal as it spilled off the cot. Her hand kept curling as if trying to grasp something, anytime Vahn moved near. Not another sound, nor concious movement did she make as she lay there, the petite woman looking like nothing more then an overgrown doll, bearing great pain as her body lay there trembling.

Tells' eyelashes fluttered across her pale cheeks and she looked up at Vahn a weak smile on her face.

"Kasuga...."

the voice weak and more then a little trembling, but at least she was concious. Even as she woke, the heat began to die down, or more likely as her body began sucking it back up along with any other heat she could get, but still she looked cold, the lips almost blue, the skin having no color to it, despite the tan she normally had. The room however was now becoming cold, very very cold. Unless they were wearing layers, anyone in the room would begin to feel chill after a few moments as her body absorbed allt he heat it could, just like Vahn himself had done previously. Then after the chill would become actually cold, as if in a deep cave, late at night.

Then just as suddenly it would stop and everything would return to normal, the dry heat there as if it had never left, but the girl laying limp on the cot, just looking up at her 'uncle' with absolute adoration and trust.

"The hell is that look for?" Vahn stared down at Tellus, not quite sure what the hell had happened. Although he didn't exactly show it, inside he breathed a sigh of relief. Any longer and....

He turned his head, glancing about the rest of the room, which was covered in a fine film of ice. "Raven...." Turning back to Tellus he furrowed his brows, annoyance in his tone. "Dammit, what the hell happened with you?" He stared at Tellus.

"That should be obvious!" Hibon said from a corner of the room, still shivering and a bit of snow atop his head and shoulders, slapping one hand into the other as he spoke.

eek what! *That was a little more than Rave could stand for* Now you take that back right this instant young lady scream

*Rave literary stomped across the room in a furry, sparks drifting behind her as her own powers rose with her temper. Stepping in beside Vahn to look down at Tellus her eyes whirling like stoked fires* If I had any clue you were planning this nonsense I would never have brought you out here. You think I can face those children again knowing that I killed both their parents! *she was shaking a finger at Tellus, sparks still flying off her and everyone else in the room almost completely forgotten*

Now either you take that back this instant and we find a real way to help you or I take us both back to Durem this instant and let you face Gabi and James after I tell them what you had in mind! *She was trembling with furry and her voice kept breaking as she tried to keep from screaming at the girl* I am no bloody dark angle to deliver you up onto death, and it is bad enough that I can't actually heal you, I will not help you die!
