Danaiss understood that Selyna was scared of him, scared to death and that whatever he would do she would not listen nor understand.
In a couple of steps he was close to her, he caught her by the arm.
He was clumsy and did not know what to do. Trying to catch his balance, he fell in the water, dragging her with him.
He emerged from the water still holding her and pushed her on the border without releasing his clasp. No smile on his face anymore, he looked strong and determinated. Holding her down he said "Do not move".
Before she could answer a glowing light gained her shoulder and arm...as soon as the light appear he seemed glowing "here" he said softly "it will ease the pain" his blue eyes were straigth into Selyna's and he was both smiling and concentrating.
It was difficult for him to help her in this condition but he knew that it was the only way. He knew what she felt. He knew this look. Those eyes were hunting him down at night in his deeper nightmare...Those eyes full of fear, hate and death. He tried to forget but he could not. He could just try to help others...when possible.

Kaori smiled at his comment about her being able to sleep. "Yeah... I think my body just kind of... shut itself down... I'll be better soon enough, But I do not like just laying here, I feel so useless. Selyna's home... I wonder what it is like..."

At Abels mention of there being another addition to the group, she looked over at him, looking at his eyes. "You do not fully trust him, do you?" She paused for just a moment, no long enough for him to reply, more for her to shift ever so slightly. "Go on, I will be fine. If you guys are not in an area that I recognize, you must be pretty far from the town, the Hunters are only human... I do not think that they can run as fast as you. Go check on her, I won't go anywhere, I promise." She said the last bit with a lopsided grin on her face

"Perfectly normal." He murmured, "Especially with the state you were in, yes but its the best thing you can dor for yourself right now." He watched her for a moment before responding to the last bit about Selyna's home, "I've often wondered about suck myself." As she looked him full in the eyes all he could do was nodd in a meek response, "it's my nature. . . " Was all he could say for himself. "Her shrieking doesn't make it much better," He murmured glancing restlessly in the general direction from where he had heard her.

"I know she doesnt have trust in any male, but still. . . " He glanced back at her as she urged him to go, he was apprehensive. "I'm not sure, do you think?" He laughed a bit at her joke, and the lopsided smile that graced her features, which made her all the more appealing to him. "I don't trust myself to leave, I'm living to regret it the last time I did, and she could defend herself. . . " Abel sighed heavily, dropping his gaze, hating to remind himself of those times, though he blamed himself everyday.

Kaori smiled in what she hoped was a reasuring way. "That may be a good thing..." She said, talking about what he said was his nature. "I know that at times I am to trusting, but I can not help it, I just see the good in people... even the Hunters are anot all bad just... misguided. They are doing what they think is right, and we happen to not be right to the... But, on another note, I have to agree that Selyna does not seem to trust males... I wish I knew why..." Kaori looked towards the entrence again, worry for the other woman in her eyes.

A part of her was afraid that maybe the Hunters and Inquisitors had caught up with them, though she told that part of her that there was no way that could happen, not with how fast Selyna and Abel could run, and how far it seemed they had gotten... "Go on," She said with another smile. "I'm tough, I can exert myself if it comes to it. And I have a voice, I can just hollar for you if I need ya." She said, giving him a slight wink to try and lighten the mood. Mentally, she was filing away what he had said about last time, something told her that he did not mean back near her house, but she did not wish to bring it up right now.

Selyna

Lost in her thoughts of Abel, she didn’t see as Danaiss came up on her until it was too late, wanting to turn and run she was grabbed by the arm and she let out a shriek. Please! As she fell into the water, she sputtered and tried desperately to be able to see what was happening, only knowing his hand still held her arm. The pain was terrible as she tried wrenching from his grip, but she couldn’t feel it through the adrenaline rushing through her system. His face was serious and determined, reminding her of so many of the men she’d fought off before, though she was in perfect health then, with no injury to hinder her. Blood began pouring freely from her wound as she continued to fight, tears running down her face. Eyes widening as he told her not to move, she began to wish she’d never met him, never brought them towards her home where this would most likely happen everyday. Tears blurring her vision until she finally closed her eyes to keep from seeing what was about to happen to her, she’d begun to sob, barely hearing him say he was healing her. Tears still flowing, she realized he wasn’t actually doing anything to her and instead felt her arm being healed. When he was done, she pulled her arm away and cowered a few feet back while flexing her shoulder. A meek thank you was given as she visibly shook and held her clothes to her. Her chest was still heaving from fright and she looked to the water, only to realize they had no pot to put the water in. I…. I won’t be a-able to f-fix the soup. We have n-no pot. Doing everything she could to avoid eye contact and make sure she could see him from her peripheral, she decided it would be best to lead them to the town and leave them there; figuring they’d fair better than she anyway.

Danaiss used a lot of his strengths to both fight and heal Selyna at the same time. His head was now hurting.
The Spirit has awaken because of the similarity of the situation it has been it. The Spirit was remembering being the little girl fighting for her life and the Spirit was remembering being the monster drinking her blood and raping her.

Danaiss held his head in his hands, he had flachbacks which were not his...*I dont want to see that. I dont want to see them* He screamed the last sentence. He had a last look at Selyna, his blue bright eyes as dark as black ink, he made a step in her direction a hand forward, but ran away shouting "No! No! NOO!" in the opposite direction.

"But I-" He murmured, but nodded, slipping gently from under her. He turned, taking a few strides then turning to glance once more in her direction before disappearing into the trees, praying to himself he wouldn't have to regret this decision. Breaking into a run, he found them easily. He stopped, watching them momentarily as they struggled int the water. Shifting back to the form of the anthro male. He was about to call out, stop Danaiss when he saw the blue glow, and stopped instead, himself. He was healing her.

But the way he had approached it had startled them both. He wished he had've been there, he felt badly and was trying to convey that to Selyna with his eyes as she cowered away. The strangest thing happened next, Danaiss' eyes changed, not only in color, but in intent. It caused a snarl to rip through Abel's lithe body, shaking him as it came from his very core. He took a defensive stance, moving closer, trying to get between him and Selyna, ears pinned back as the almost stranger took off running, screaming as he went. It was startling, and Abel waited and listened to make sure Danaiss wasnt heading in the general vacinity of Kaori, quieting and staying as still as he could to do so.

Kaori had smiled at Abel again as he looked over his shoulder before leaving. When she was sure that he was out of sight, she started to try and push herself up. It was a struggle, and it caused her to wince more often than she would have liked, but she did eventually manage to push herselg into some semblance of a cross-legged sitting position. She was breathing a little hard, and she was glad that neither Selyna nor Abel were there, for she knew that they would both tell her to rest. But she was tired of resting, she wanted to be moving around, helping in whatever small way that she could.

She had seen the deer carcass earlier, and had already been thinking that she might be able to cook that up, but she knew that if she had struggled to sit up, then there was no way that she would be able to prepare a meal for the others. With a sigh, she started so shove herself back against the wall, when she heard someone yelling. The sound caught her off guard, and caused her hand to slip so she ended up falling onto her elbow. She hissed slightly as she drew her breath in quickly, but pushed herself up and managed to move back against the wall and lean against it.

Danaiss was trying to take control of himself again.
He hated himself for that...*I am not you!* he shouted at the vampire side of the Spirit. *Let me be!!!!*
He was trying to put as much distance as possible between himself and Selyna. But he needed water thus he stayed along the spring and jumped in it without taking off his clothes (which anyway were still wet from the unwanted bath). The cold water calmed him down a little. He looked at the sky, the night would be there soon. *I'll be able to gain some energy then...thanks to the moon...* he sighed...*If I wanted to help her, I am sure now that they are all gonna be suspicious about me know.* He looked up the sky, his fist standing, "Why? WHY ME???" he shouted while tears were running along his cheecks.
He went out of the water, a chill travelled along his spine...the weather was colder, the night close.
*I need heat* he thought shivering...but he hesitated going back to the group and the fire place.

Abel stood stock still, watching Danaiss. He resisted the powerful urge to return to Kaori. He had calmed considerably since he wasnt headed toward Kaori, but he still had an uneasy feeling. He glanced over at Selyna, walking toward her, slowly, as not to startle her any further. He offered a tentative hand to help her up out of the water. "This is my fault" Abel snarled, ashamed of himself. "I can't believe I let that happen, are you okay?"

Though mainly his attention was with Selyna, Abel kept half his attention with Danaiss, incase he moved or did something else. He knew something wasnt entirely right with this stranger. But it seemed his nature to think so, and had let him out of his sight with one of his "pack" as one of them had put it once.

Selyna

PostPosted: Tue Dec 11, 2007 8:52 pm

As she’d been trying not to make eye contact, Selyna didn’t notice the changes Danaiss had been going through, like his headache or the eye color. By the time she did notice however, his demeanor had completely changed and she felt frightened again, like he actually would bring her worst nightmare to fruition. Stepping back just as Abel came out of no where, she stumbled at his sudden presence and nearly fell as she watched the man who’d just healed her run off screaming around the spring and then jump in. He’s stark raving mad…. Paranoid and fearful at this point, Selyna’s eyes widened yet again and her hand closed tighter around her collar as Abel walked towards her. She was almost delusional in her worry, her eyes narrowed as she heard him speak. You knew he was coming after me? You knew he would do something to me? And you were going to let him? The last question came out as a raspy whisper, as she continued to back away. Now looking at Abel with much the same fear as she did Danaiss, she was shocked and outraged. She knew Abel didn’t care for her much, but to allow her to be…shaking her head, she hiked up her skirt, heavy as it was with water and ran off towards the camp, hoping that just by being near Kaori, she would find some comfort and a way to get them out of harm’s way and leave them to themselves, convinced now that her presence there was nothing more than a nuisance to everyone.

Danaiss was hesitated, his steps were bringing him closer to the camp but he could not see it yet.
He was doing three steps forward, two backward.
*I need the fire* he knew it deep in him that the fight he just had had worn him out and he needed to be careful.

Abel shook his head and his eyes widened. "No! I never!" He shook his head, unsure what to say, though as he thought about it, it seemed he did. Not exactly. "Why would you think I would willingly let you come into harm. . . ?" His question was slow as he thought through it and tried to put his words in the right order. But as he finished she got out, refusing his help, and booked it. His brow furrowed and he turned to watch her go. He had tried to help and failed. Would he ever get the point to her he would never intentionally put her in danger.

His thin shoulders sagged and he couldnt decide whether to stay and keep an eye on Danaiss or go back with the other two. He looked back towards Danaiss and decided to stay, atleast for now. Especially to give Selyna a bit of space. Maybe she would mention it to Kaori. Kaori could help. She wasn't male, and could talk to Selyna. Sinking down with a strange sense of grace, Abel sat back, crosslegged, and leaned back on his palms. But he couldnt shake the anxiety of wanting to get back to Kaori. Atleast with Selyna there, she'd be safe.

Danaiss could not hold it and walked straigth into the camp direction, he know could see the flames and Kaori's shadow which seemed awake now. He gathered some pieces of wood for the fire and having a last hesitation stayed hidden in the bushed for a while, looking at the flames. He was not really hidding as he was making as much noice as elephant troop.
