-His ears flicked lightly, picking up the familar voice and as he looked to the lioness a soft smile touched his muzzle.- "Ahh, Koho. How are you my dear?"
-Shifting his front paws and weight to better face her, his smile grew.- "Is there something I can help you with?"

Athari couldn't help but grin, at that point. "Trueeeeeeee." he said, deliberately dragging the word out. "But, I don't know if I'll be here that long...it's nice here, but I want to explore, since I don't really have a home to go back to anyway--after all, I can't live here forever...too many lions about..." he trailed off, looking a bit serious for a minute, until his usual mischieviousness poked through again. "Of course, we'll never get to do any of that unless we head back out towards the entrance again..." he said, winking at her.

"Of course, we'll never get to do any of that unless we head back out towards the entrance again..." he said, winking at her. The young kit blinked and a mischevious grin graced her small muzzle, she then jumped on the leapord's back before smirking at him and jumping over him, so that she landed right infront of the cub. "I'll race ya' there leapord boy!" The small creature then squeaked happily before running of infront of him, in a flash of ornage vevlet fur and a pair of green lamplike eye's.

Athari darted after her, his mottled hide allowing him to almost blend in, if he kept to the shadows. Snickering to himself, he used his much-longer legs to his advantage, making sure he drew just about level with Taku just long enough to stick out his tongue and dart ahead...which lasted all of two seconds, as our inattentive friend stumbled over a small rock and ate dirt.

((*sigh* in such a hurry to rp, then Simba isn't here atm to rp with... >.<))
Sarabi looked about anxiously for her cub. "Simba!" She called again. Where had he gone? What kind of a mother was she, that she could lose a cub? And where was Mufasa? Did he know where Simba was? The normally calm and composed lioness was a nervous wreak!

Taku smirked and then jumped up on Athari's rear before pushing herself of from it, letting herself get the advantage as she darted away infront of him, as fast as her little leg's could carry her. "SEE YA!!" She laughed loudly before she turned to see what she was facing and gasped slightly as she saw a lioness at the mouth of the cave, she tried to stop herself but she slid to halt and hit the back of the lioness's haunche's. She gulped and looked up at her. "Oh I'm very sorry ma'am!!"

-Shifting his front paws and weight to better face her, his smile grew.- "Is there something I can help you with?" The lioness rose to look her king in the eye, though that forced her to lift her head since she was a few inches shorter than he. "I am well, as well as one can be in this rain that is." A small smile flicked across her features as she mused over the seasonal weather of her home, "Yes actually. I wish to apologize for being gone for so long. I needed time away from the pride, to grow and mature I guess you could say. Now that I have found my way back home, I was hoping to secure my place as caretaker of the pride's children once more. If it is availiable that is. I have also become more solid in my hunting skills, having to rely on my own of course, so don't worry about another dead weight to feed. Of course, if there is no room in the pride, I would not fault your refusal." She ended her short speech with another bow to the large lion, her features neutral to whatever his decision would be.

-An affectionate smile touched his muzzle as he listened to his 'sister's soft speech. Of course there was no break to think when she'd finished before he nodded strongly.- "There is no need to worry about being gone.. we all need to travel from time to time for many reasons. You are just as welcome here as you were when you left Koho."
-Motioning gently towards the caves he added.- "I myself was away for a long portion of time, and returned just in time to witness the birth of my son. The pride has been holding up well, and many young have been born, or have shown up recently, so we really need, all the help we can get."

Maawios white tipped paws made their way futher into the grass, her blue eyes retreating behind her bright eyelids. Her pelt was a remarkable bright sandy orange. Very unusually so, from her mothers side. Her mother... Maawio sighed slightly, It wasnt that she disliked her mother, she had respect for her, but the pressure they put upon their cub was making Maawio weary with worry. She was always expected to impress the queen and king. She feared what would happen, if she made a fool of herself in front of Sarabi or Mufasa.
She often worried, about the health of the pack, her family, and much about the royal family. She was too scared to speak to Simba or Nala, so she spent much time in the quiet shady parts of the savannah. But her mother could always interupt, and take Maawio off to see the king or queen, or try and teach her how to capture a deer, without stumbling, or failing altogether. She sighed, relaxing and enjoying the time she had to herself. He father had even higher standards of her. She shook her head, trying to release the worry inside her head. She had grown used to being nervous, and was pretty much Anti-social with other youths, and when she was with the adults, she could never let her self go and enjoy splashing in one of the very few puddle, or start chasing something. She was expected to act mature, sometimes she thought her parents forgot she was a cub. She shifted the weight to her front paws, glancing into the river to her left.
Her big blue eyes had a sheen of supressed emotion, perhaps irritation, but she couldnt show it. For once she wanted a friend. For once she wanted to have fun. She rolled over, dust clinging to her pelt, before she pulled herself up and shook it off, stalking off to her mothers den, entering the shaded entrance, and remaining in the shadows.

A fairly familiar black and white lion adolescent silently prowled outside of the incredibly oversized den in which Maawios was dwelling, his steel grey eyes scanning the horizon. The sun was shining brightly overhead, beating mercilessly down upon his dark pelt. Seeing no immeadiate place of shelter, such as a tree or rock, the male began to pant. His tongue was partched, as he hadn't drank a decent amount of water in days. Of course, he was tempted to go inside the the den that towered only a few paces away from him, but his slight fear of what lie in the shadows of the dank space frightened the lion slightly. He shook his head, realizing there was probably nothing to worry about. He could always run away, though it he was always planning on that being his last resort in ANY situation. Cautiously at first, he began pawing towards the den. "H-Hello..?" He called out, his voice sounding more shaky and dry than he intended, giving away his slight dehydration. He stood at the mouth of the den, narrowing his eyes in hopes he'd be able to see inside. No luck, however. It just seemed too dark. Thus he continued to wait at the entrance, hoping for some signs of life, and more importantly, water.

Maawios bright eyes widened, as she pressed herself closer to the wall. Her paws pulled close, she tilted her head towards the entrance of the den...An adolescent! And a big black and white one at that. She whimpered a little, giving a more scared atmosphere than nessacary, although that is what Maawio is probably made of. Due to the amount of pressure put upon her. She blinked heavily, putting her bright head around the mouth of the den, her eyes still wide... "He-hello?" She stuttered, straightening herself up in case it was a messenger from the queen or king. She blinked to the ground, her white speckled left aud showing from the darkness, her ivory pelted stomach rising and falling as she breathed more heavily from anticipation. Even a small thing like this could make this cub overcome with worry.

Raising an eyebrow at Maawios, Itazura smirked. "Don't worry, kid" He said, pausing to take a good look at the cub. "I'm not here to evict you, or anything." His smirk melted into a smile, as he realized that he was almost identical to this cub when HE was a baby. "I'm just passing through here, you could call me a loner, I suppose. You wouldn't mind me coming in here, would you?" He asked, his tone far more soft and gentle than it had been before. "It's awfully hot outside, and I'm simply looking for some shelter, and some water." His tail swayed against the dusty ground, showing he was relaxed, and that there was no reason for the cub to be afraid.

She blinked, nodded slightly, if her mother knew, she would say it was against the kings wishes, to let a loner pass through. But she simply didnt want him to hurt her, and he looked very thirsty. She slipped to the right, guiding him to the shady part, away from her sleeping mother. She remained silent, her eyes still wide, but im curiousity, though she was still pretty nervous. She blinked at him a few times, before sitting opposite him and watching for his reaction, making sure to stay near her mother, just in case. "S-s-so...Mister...Where did you c-come from?"

He turned slowly, as to not wake the cub's mother, his eyes locked on the landscape in the far north. "Past there, far past there." Itazura said quietly, as if almost to himself. "It's an area where there are nothing but thick forests, and ponds to go fishing in. I haven't been there in a while, though.." He said sadly, standing upright to face the cub once more. "You could call me a sort of an explorer, I suppose. There are so many things I haven't seen yet...I hope I'll be able to do everything in my lifetime, though it seems I won't live very long. Most loners never do." He sighed, then realizing he had probably said too much. "So just what are you doing here, in this cave, with your mother, and all?" He asked curiously, tilting his head to one side. He had been isolated from all the prides since his birth, obviously, so he had no real idea who had what rank. To him, all lions were exactly the same. They all had to eat, sleep, and drink, and that's all that really mattered.

"My mother wont like to wake not to find me here. Shes always like that. But shes great!" She said, some of the enthusiasm fading from her face, her brown tufted tassel still flickering anxiously. What if this "explorer" decided to attack? She pulled herself up a little, her eyes still glimmering with some kind of withdraw emotional look. "So, what do you do, day in, day out?" She squeaked her voice becoming some-what higher.
