Kaya watched Sasha's battle with mild interest. The girl seemed to be following the same strategy that he and Mian had used when they battled Brawly. "Woohoo! Great battle Sasha!" he called to her after he saw Machop fall.

Kiss perched on Kaya's head when Alkaid landed on her back. "Kiss kiss!" she cheered happily as she flew off of her trainer's head and circled the arena with Alkaid on her back. Naofa on the other hand, sat in Kaya's lap and was mentally pleading the prince to let him meet Mian.

Kaya stopped the Kirlia as he looked at Sasha's message. "Hmmm...There's a ferry in the harbor that runs to Slateport 24 hours a day. If you want, I'll go with you while you take the test." he offered.

With Naofa still on his shoulders, Kaya walked out of the gym and led the way to the harbor. "Actually i am a prince. My mom and dad are the King and Queen of a place called Harmony Island. I actually have six brothers and sisters that are princes and princesses as well. They're just busy with other things. I got charged with being the heir to the throne so I had to become a trainer like all other people of my age do to learn about life on my own." he said with a sigh.

After a short walk, Tolkis returned from her short flight with a Wingull resting on her back and an old man chasing after her. "Mr. Briney! Peeko!" Kaya cried as he recognized the old man from his first journey to Dewford when he'd first started his journey so long ago.

"Do i know you young man?" the old man asked Kaya as he examined him. "You sure do. You took me and my Treecko from Petalburg all the way here nearly a year ago." Kaya replied. "Oh...you're that odd young man with the red and blue hair aren't you?" Mr. Briney asked. "The very same!" Kaya replied as he blushed. "I've done quite a bit of growing up since then though. Could you possibly take my friend and me to Slateport tonight?" kaya replied.

"Of course. I'd be glad to take such a cheerful young man on a trip across the sea. You seemed to enjoy it last time so much that I felt as if my heart might buirst with joy at your expression." Mr. Briney said as he led Kaya and Sasha tohis small ship.

Chloe grinned, glad to see that Sasha had won the match. She had followed the two out of the gym, but wasn't sure if she was going to make the trek to Slateport with them. Alkaid had left her Kiss perch in favor of Chloe's shoulder again as she left the gym.

The cool night air of Dewford was a relief, she smiled, closing her eyes for a brief second to enjoy the cool seabreeze that was coming in from off the coastline. Alkaid was more than pleased with the wind as well, fluttering from Chloe's shoulder to hover overhead, disturbing a roosting flock of Wingull from the top of the gym with her shenanigans.

Chloe hadn't joined in the conversation yet between Sasha and Kaya, but was around, just in case she was needed.
