Jack Takahashi Rhys stops when she takes his hand, but he doesn't turn to face her as she talks. Maybe it was the whiskey, but the guilt he refused to put on himself for four years ago starts to nag at him. He finally turns and looks at her, keeping her hand in his. "Don't do the blaming it on everyone thing." He was telling himself it more then Rachel. "You can't. You can't come because I can't let you get hurt. My sisters and I were stuck in this life from day one, but you... you should not be here." His chest starts to hurt again, but the pain seems like it isn't from his stab wound. He just brushes it aside, excusing it to be from the whiskey. "I'll be fine, I'll work better when you're not around. I always have." He doesn't ever realize what he just told her. "Always have" insinuates that he has done it before. Worked plans, fix the messed up ones, all without the others involved.

Moth Cat Waking suddenly, Calista looked around her dark livingroom. Sighing she slowly sat up, rubbing her sore arm. She had fallen asleep on her couch. Looking to the clock, and noting that it would soon be morning, she got up to get a glass of water. Glaring at her near empty fridge, she went to the bathroom and got cleaned up. With Marcus staying here for the next few days at least, she would need to keep her fridge filled in order to feed both of them. Pulling on an olive colored tanktop to replace the back one she slept in, she changed her pants with an identical pair, and pulled her sweater. Just as she was about to leave, she grabbed her shoulder bag, and pulled on a pair of black gloves. Slipping out the door, she locked it behind her and headed for the elevator. There was no need to tell anyone. Besides, she was going to the same store that she went to every week. What could possibly happen.

Kauru Denubis Rachel still held onto his hand for a moment, quiet. "Fine.." She let go and for once did not argue. "Do it on your own, go get your self killed. I will go home and not say a word about this." She then turned and started to walk away thinking to her self. "I hate him so much! .....Then why do I care if he gets hurt...." Quickly shaking the thought from her mind, she had to stand there a moment to figure out which way was home. It was hopeless, nothing looked familiar to her this time of night. Rachel was never one to be out late.

Jack Takahashi "You're an idiot." Rhys thinks to himself. What is he going to do? He can't get in the whorehouse; too many people know his face. Then he guesses he could possibly get in. The place had visitors from both families, even some politician went there, so him being there wouldn't be too out of place. But he was still unarmed. "You tell Mathue you were with me the entire time, but don't say where we were. If you do that then I'll go back with you." He sighs a little, he feels like he is giving in. He looks at her and he slowly walks to her side. "You're worried about me? Aren't you?" He arrogantly asks. He says it to tease her but then wonders if it was true.

Kauru Denubis "Deal." She said, Rachel had no problem with lieing to Mathue. She looked at Rhys as he came to stand by her side, "I am more worried about getting home... I don't know where I am." Rachel looked away expected to be taunted for that. "My guess it is like four in the morning and nothing looks familiar to me in the dark." She pulled her jacket around her tighter as she saw the fog comming in. "This place is spooky." She admitted. "Are you out here all the time at this time or somthin?"

Jack Takahashi Rhys wishes he had a jacket on, not for himself but to give to Rachel. He smiles a little and starts walking they way he cam from. "Yes. Most of my contacts are night owls." Rhys takes a breath, then puts a hand on he chest. He looks at his shirt; the cut began to bleed again. He ignores it and tries to enjoy the cool moist air around him. Fog was his mother's favorite weather condition and that had rubbed off on him a little. "Also, I like when it's spooky like this." He says and smiles a little looking back at her to make sure she was following.

Kauru Denubis "You're insane." She said flatly while following close behind him. "Why do you deliberately put yourself in danger? Have you thought about what would happen if you die from that? You'd leave poor Joyce behind along with Christy and Monty." She paused for a moment. "I don't know how your father would react though, I wonder half the time how he feels about you all." She stopped walking. "Why do you call him by his name? Why not dad or father or somthing."

Jack Takahashi Not knowing how to answer her first question, Rhys just stops and looks at her. He never felt afraid at night. He actually felt safer at night then he did during the day. "Less cops around at night." He explains to himself in his mind. Then he listens to the second question and answers it in a rather harsh tone. "If he was a father I would call him dad. But he's not. He hasn't been one since our mother died. He is not a good man, never was. There are things I've learned about him, about his past. It makes me wish I wasn?t his son."

Kauru Denubis Rachel smiled slightly, "No matter what he is still your dad." She walked up closer to him. "We need to hurry you're bleeding. We need to rebandage that." She walked ahead slightly and looked back. "You commin or do I have to leave you behind?" Rachel asked though she needed him to get home because she still didn't know where she was. Though her normal mood and attitude had returned she was very tired and couldn't wait to get home and out of this spooky area.

Pink Tu Tu Of Death Christy laughed as she heard the crash. She watched Lynn try and walk out like nothing had happened. She stopped laughing. She didn't want to hurt her feelings. "You Ok?" she asked. She smiled at the thought of how cute Aideen was. She was a Daddy's Little girl, that was for sure. She sat down on a chair, trying to stay awake. It wasn't going to happen and she knew it. She felt her eyelids getting droopy. She tried to balance on the chair, so as she drifted off she didn't fall off and make noice to wake up Aideen.

Moth Cat The air was chill against her face, burning her ears until she pulled her headphones on over them. Turning her music on low, wanting to be able to hear things going on around her, Calista headed down the road. It was quiet, and the streets were empty of people, the best time to be out. She lost her fear of being outside at night alone long ago. Now it was the only time she chose to go out sense she left school. The cold air felt nice against her injured arm. Relief spread through her body. The stitches had been getting ichy and it had finally stopped bleeding. Hopefully it would stay closed and heal now. Smiling she slowed down her pace. There was no reason to rush, afterall, it's not like anyone was looking for her or needed her. The last phone call she recieved from her parents was three months ago, so it wasn't as though they were worried about her. Gazing up at the night sky she couldn't help but feel happy. As she walked, she completely forgot about the people who had been watching her, the phone call where they were pin-pointing her exact location. It never even crossed her mind, not even as a dark blue car pulled out from the curb and slowly drove passed her, only to park just around the turn, the people inside watching her every move.

Xilocent Marcus Looks out the window of the apartment Calista had tossed him the key to. "Good thing Mr. Johnson gave me the rest of the day off.....and my 3 day weekend is here, so I can afford to be stuck here" he said out loud to no one. He suddenly hears a racket down the hall from his room, and walks outside to see what it is. "What the hell is with all the racket?" He spoke loudly.

Jack Takahashi Rhys smiles a little at Rachel. Although he doesn't agree with her, Mathue may be his father by blood, but Rhys could never see him as one. A father is someone you look up to. Someone you want to turn into. Rhys does not want to become his father. "Oh, and you need to stop talking about this thing." He says pointing at the stab wound as he walks again. "It just reminds me it's there." He notices how uncomfortable Rachel still looks and takes a hold of her hand for a second to make her turn onto a more public road. But then he quickly lets go. "No one will hurt you if that's why you're afraid right now. I won't let them." He smirks a little. Like he was really in any position to say that. "Besides, Main Street isn't that far. There is always a cop or two driving down that road." He felt odd using a cop as a means to assure safety, but it would be for Rachel. The Police don't know she is involved in anything, or so he thinks. So in his minds he decides they would just see her pedestrian out late, or up early.

Kauru Denubis "Scared? pfft! I am never scared." She said. "Wouldn't you just love to be able to walk down a street and not have to worry about cops?" she asked, feeling a little bad for him. Though she didn't exactly expect and answer nor did she wait for one. Rachel started singing softly, which she often did when she got home sick. Though now she just wanted to get to her apartment, her family wasn't even on her mind at the moment.
