Koji Masahiko Mori  Tokyo. He had missed the Capital. Even if he had lived there for a few short years...he had never forgotten his home. When he had had a complete family. When he had had a brother and a father and a mother. When they had been together and life had been simple.
His fingers curled into fists. Whatever had happened before...his father would know what to do. He would have the answers. He had always found answers to the problems back then. He had protected the people of the Capital...he had been able to keep his family away from danger...he had had a plan. Then, he never saw his father or his brother again. Koji could remember it all too well... He hadn't been able to understand what was happening...he couldn't understand why they were leaving or why Koichi or his father couldn't come. Or why he couldn't stay. It had been years later that he had understood...
Now...he was back. Even if it were in circumstances that weren't ideal...he was back. Would Koichi be here as well? What would he be like? Would he recognize him? They had been so young, so different. The Palace appeared at the distance, and the Prince of the Wasteland let a ghost of a smile appear at the corner of his lips. The protected area was bigger than what he had anticipated. There were people protecting the borders of the few blocks that were demon-free...people working together under the name of the Shogun. He couldn't help the pride he felt then. And despite himself...the nervousness he felt.

Koji Masahiko Mori Green orbs turned to look at the young woman standing beside him, and Koji nodded. He had talked to Kokona about his family when they were younger... when he had been closer to the group and he had believed they were his friends. They had been close back then...Now, he was not sure why she stayed with him. No. That was inaccurate. He knew she followed him because they were similar. They had both been abandoned by their supposed friends. They had both been left for dead...And both had sworn to get their revenge against them. They worked as a team solely for that. Or...was it? There was something about her...
Something... The way she would tense as she said those words, and how her hands had restlessly stayed by her side, almost as she didn't know what to do with them. There was something in her gaze and the way she looked at him that made the Mori to furrow his eyebrows in concentration.
They reached the guarded area, and Koji stepped forward with his hands up, his gaze turning to Kokona, letting her know it was fine, and for her not to attack. "We are here to see Shogun Mori. We are not enemies." Still better than the future they had come from. She let Koji take the lead, even as her body tensed up...preparing for the worst...
For a fight, in the case of a stranger trying to attack Koji. The others had abandoned her just as well...And she knew the same of Koji. He was all she had left....
So, she would guard him with her life....Even if it meant having to give it up. Koji's voice was stern..commanding...Yet, his gaze was gentle enough to let her know she wasn't in danger...
That they could relax...if only slightly. And, though she waited on the group..a part of her still flinched..still hesitated to not bolt....

'What's on your mind?' was the sort of question that, when you asked it of a Mori, could garner you a thousand different answers within the minute. There were countless things that ran through his mind as they passed through the doors of the Palace and back into the safe zone, from the whereabouts of General Okada and his Demon Summoning Squad at the moment to the status of rations and whether or not they would be serving dinner any time soon (it was starting to get on later in the day) to the district...Ikebukuro...that they had just come from and if it would be possible to retake a transportation line to that sushi joint again so that they could go back there once it was up and running properly again...to many of the affectionate little thoughts that passed through his mind a moment earlier when looking at her. But really, what was on his mind right now after she spoke about his mother was...exactly that, his mother...his father, his entire family. His father had not been seen since he arrived here, and nobody seemed to have any clue what might have happened to the Shogun, the Emperor, and the closest people to them. The Palace had been in fairly good shape when they arrived, but not a single soul was on the premises to greet them when they retook it and made it their own. It was a mystery...but at the very least, he knew where his mother was, even if she was in the heart of the danger right now back in Inaba. That much couldn't be helped, though...she was always the sort of woman who had to help out when the chips were down. She wanted a normal life, but she was brave and powerful in spite of that. Or maybe because of that...he couldn't be sure.
"Of course I want to see her," he answered her curiosity with the obvious answer, almost as though the very idea that he didn't might have offended him...except that the gentle smile that betrayed the lack of any hint of that when he looked at her, and then back down the hall, "She was gentle and strong, righteous...I haven't seen her since I was a boy, when she left to join the Resistance after my father announced his plan to take what was left of Tokyo underground for the 'Preservation of Our Way of Life'. I understood what he was doing, and I understood why she left, but...you can't help but have regrets. My mother, my brother...I never saw either of them again. And when you told me what happened to my mom..." He trailed off...that hadn't been a good memory, nor had it been a story he wished to remember, even though he knew it was better to know than to not. "I know that she will fight until the end of this, and I don't want to do anything that will distract her or make her more vulnerable before we put the world right," Koichi explained with a small, sad smile...he obviously wanted to see her, it was written all over him...but he was making the hard choice, just like his father, for her sake...and for everyone, "When we win..."
He smiled at Sera, raising her hand that was within his and as he lowered his lips to kiss it, he felt a sudden weight leap upon his shoulder...the return of his feline companion from her morning nap in the Emperor's/Current Shogun's Bedroom. Spoiled kitty.
"I'll introduce you to her," he promised, not even bothered by the idea that she might react...poorly? He probably had it all planned out in his mind, though, so why worry? "I'm sure she would love y-ow!"

Suddenly he felt the claws of Ser Pounce dig into his shoulder...but not to stop their conversation, but instead as a sign she was leaping from his shoulder and rushing out towards the door and the gate beyond. That was...weird, wasn't it? Ser Pounce hadn't gone out much at all since the 4th Day, preferring to stay in the Master Bedroom with him or waiting for him most of the time. Now she was bolting to he gate like something important was about to happen? He couldn't help but be curious.
"Odd...Ser Pounce!" he called out, trying to call his cat back but finding her unusually disobedient to his call. He moved out towards the front door and opened it wide, looking to where the cat had dashed to the front gate of the lawn and paused by the guard, licking its paw idly...as though it hadn't been rushing around just a moment sooner, "...Now that's odd, isn't it? She was just running and now she's...hm? Who is that out there by the gate? I can't see them from here, but there's two of them..."Quote: 67 Tokens

Koji Masahiko Mori Before an answer could be given by the guard by the gate, a blur of white ran down the stairs and stood right in front of the pair. The cat stared intently at him, and Koji would have ignored him if it hadn't been that the creature just decided to start rubbing against his leg, purring loudly. His eyebrows furrowed, and he waved a hand at it to scare it off. Instead, the cat jumped on his shoulder, rubbing its face against his cheek, his glasses almost falling off. "What is wrong with this cat?" His usual stoic character was broken as his cheeks flared up in strange embarrassment and confusion, but nothing could move the cat from its perch. It would just look at the gate, almost as if waiting for someone...Green eyes turned to look at that direction, noticing two people coming his way. He could see a male with brownish hair...and he could see pink hair. Eyebrows furrowed...then realization came to him. Was that...?
It couldn't be. He hadn't seen him for at least ten years, but... it had to be him.

He looked familiar and judging by his words, he was thinking the same thing. The teen nodded and looked him over for a moment before speaking. "If you went to Yasogami too then you most likely have..
