“Everything about this war is sketchy as all ******** hell,” Ganymede argued gently with Alexandria. She understood his concern all too well. She didn't like it either, but she was also overcome with enthusiasm for being given the chance to hit the Negaverse where it hurt.
IfCaedus was telling the truth. That still remained to be seen. But the chance seemed worth the risk in her mind. If it turned out Caedus was deceiving them and had other plans for the energy, they could take care of him then.
One thing was for sure, he didn't want to make an enemy out of this many people.
Ganymede glanced toward Themiscyra and looked pensive. It did seem rather strange that the Code would be acting odd around the same time a mysterious stranger came into town. It could all be one big coincidence, but after five years as a Senshi, Ganymede wasn't sure she believed in coincidences anymore.
“You think this might be related somehow?” she wondered.
Caedus began passing around crystals, and Ganymede suddenly found one being handed to her. She removed her hand from Venice's shoulder to take it, staring at it suspiciously as it began to glow in her palm.
“I didn't say I wanted one,” she mumbled. She'd only been looking for a demonstration, but now that she had one of the crystals in her hand she figured she might as well see what it could do for herself. For a moment she thought of dropping it. She hesitated and inevitably decided against it. She had no intention of using it on anyone but herself, in any case.
Ganymede heard questions being posed—how much energy Caedus required; how much could be held in a single crystal; how he meant to receive the energy from them; how they differed from Negaverse crystals. Ganymede eyed him to see how he might answer. She thought it might give them a clue as to what he was really after. Every time he spoke, she looked for cues that might tell he wasn't being truthful. So far she didn't have much to go on other than her own natural distrust.
Soon, when she felt she'd gotten a sufficient enough demonstration to reassure her that the crystals would do no harm, Ganymede tried to find a way to keep it from coming into contact with her bare skin. Unfortunately she had quite a bit of skin on display, and nowhere to store anything, even something that could easily fit in the palm of her hand. Eventually she stuck one hand under a ruffled layer of her dress and held the stone through it.
“So,” she began, still watching Caedus suspiciously, “are you going to be joining us on this little trip to the Negaverse's castle or do you expect us to do all your dirty work for you?”

Perdita watched with interest as Caedus began to distribute his crystals. She listened carefully to everything he had to say about them and observed them as they activated upon coming into contact with bare skin. She'd not yet taken one for herself, but it wasn't because she was afraid of them. She simply didn't want to rush forward the way other people were and bombard Caedus with more attention and endless questions.
The questions were all warranted, of course. They should know how the crystals functioned as well as how they were intended to be used and what they were meant to do with them. She simply didn't like how many people were talking over one another, and how many people had suddenly crowded around.
Had they never heard of forming a line?
She waited patiently but with barely contained eagerness, drifting forward only once the initial distribution of the crystals had been completed. She smiled and held out her hand, but made an effort to show she intended to draw only as close as Caedus felt comfortable allowing.
“I'd like one, please,” she said.
She wanted to study them more closely. The best way to do that, of course, was to take one for herself. Since the crystals didn't seem to be having any adverse effects on those who'd already been given one, she deemed it safe enough to proceed.
Perdita didn't have any real desire to deal the Negaverse a crushing blow. She fought only when it was necessary, and continued to harbor more interest in the goings-on of the different sides of the war than she did any feelings of anger toward the situation, or bloodlust toward those who were meant to be her enemy. She wanted to learn what she could from however many people she could. Hearing about different experiences was endlessly fascinating to her, and the idea of seeing the Negaverse's space for herself thrilled her.
She did not miss the warnings. She accepted that it would be dangerous, and that some of them may not make it out alive. She acknowledged that she may well be one of them. She had little practice in real combat and was handicapped by her limited power as a Chibi. She had no desire to face death at this stage in her life, but the notion also did not scare her as much as she thought it should. Some things were worth the risk. She didn't want to miss out on the chance to see and encounter what lurked in their ultimate destination.
What an experience that would be.

Valhalla held his hand open when Caedus began passing the crystals out, glancing down at Ganymede with fondness when she mumbled about not saying she actually wanted one. “It’ll be okay,” he promised with a small smile, taking hold of the one he’d been given and held it tight. In any case, this wasn’t the first time he’d given up his own energy. It was better than the alternative of forcing people who didn’t want to.
“Besides, I know I could use a sleep aid,” he added softly, obviously intending it as a joke. He was worried that they were getting in over their heads. There were many who were offering, but he was also glad that there were those not willing to give up their energy so easily. At least this way, if something actually were to happen to them, they would have others still there to keep the city safe.

Cassiopeia, Senshi of Wonder
With the guardian in her arms, it was a little difficult to maneuver Pye to make sure she wouldn't drop him, but she managed to shake Myrrha's hand nonetheless. "Oh, right! Cassiopeia, Senshi of Wonder," she introduced herself, happy to have a name to the face. Scents? Oh that was a nifty sphere. To her concern about their mysterious.... friend, though... the senshi shrugged, expression turning thoughtful as she looked back towards the bundled figure. "If we don't try, we could potentially miss out of a very powerful ally. If he turns out to be a traitor after what he's told us..." Her smile was a tad bitter as she winked to Myrrha, the laughter all but forgotten from her voice as she finished, "Then those like you whom haven't given their energy will need to give it all you've got if the rest of us are down for the count for a bit."
Did she want to believe Caedus meant them harm? No, not in the least. But even for all her curiosity, even for all her starry-eyed amazement at all of this... she couldn't deny there was always the chance this was a trap, or would end in some... horrific disaster.
When Caedus gave her the crystal, she looked down at it in awe, holding it up so she could try to get a better look at it--and make sure it didn't touch Pye, Enif, or anyone else around her. It was.... amazing to see the crystal begin to glow as it took some of her energy, the light swirling within the crystal itself. She couldn't say it wasn't pretty at least.
Lifting her hand--with the crystal grasped within it--she tried to get Caedus' attention once more. "Sorry, I realize this might not be a relevant question, but how did you manage to hold onto all these crystals for so long while you were trapped? Didn't any of them have any ability to help get you out? Or could you use them to drain energy from youma..?" Thinking of something else, she quickly added, "Where is your world located? Is it near any of ours..?"
Which was a rather immense range she was speaking about, but if he knew whom any of his... well, neighbors might be, she wondered if that would make it easier to get him home, if one of the senshi could bring him to their world, and give him less a distance to jump to.
Though she couldn't help but wonder if maybe he could bring any of them to see it. If his world was still... um, operating, and maybe others were still there... his, and Earth, would be the only planets like that, far as she knew.

Themiscyra, Squire of Mars
Themiscyra... hadn't been particularly happy to see how close the dude got to Ganymede and Valhalla, but with how quickly he moved, she'd been unable to try and press her chain to him and then ask him a few questions... Gritting her teeth, she huffed a bit and eyed those about that were accepting the crystals. Lights began to pop up around them from the crystals, and the Squire felt her skin crawl. "This... does not feel right," she grumbled to none in particular.
But Ganymede's acknowledgement of her previous grumble had, for a while, caught nothing but silence from the tall knight, before she finally gave a huff of a sigh. "The optimist in me would love to say, 'nah, no correlation, no way, dude's not a knight.' But... realistically?" She gave a shrug, looking to the Princess with a grim expression. "The Code told me to..." It... ******** ate at her to even admit this but... "...to corrupt to the Negaverse, if I wanted to protect people. That at least the Negaverse is able to take care of its own. Now some guy pops out of their turf, and talks about getting us into the Academy, which again, the Code stated was impossible to get into... well, without corrupting but..." She made a face, gritting her teeth again. "Something's not adding up here. If they're connected, we're missing one hell of a piece. But I can't say they're not connected, either."
The questions that billowed in her head weren't... ideal for the time being. Nor was she in the mood to pick fights with anyone if they got uppity that she'd spend more of the already exhausted man's time.

Sailor Hati, Senshi of the Cu-Sith
...well that'd been a hell of an explosion. Hati's eyes widened slightly as he stared down at the smaller wolf-like senshi (Syrma). "...thanks for th' catch-up." He wasn't interested in fueling fire, though he did give Skoll a few warning looks. The hell'd she do to rile the kid up? Not that he was surprised to hear she was watching out for the kid. It was kinda just... instinct, part of the job, all of the above. Though her attempted jab at suggesting they were named for her attacks got him to give her a quiet look as well.
He made no comment when Skoll whispered in his ear, though he did finally murmured back, "Someone has t' make sure you don't go chasin' pussycats till we know what's goin' on." Her suggestion that they not get a crystal though had been met with a no s**t grunt. Like hell was he giving up his energy to a cause he had no proof was going to be as advertised. The whole situation stank of unease and misinformation. Sure the guy looked like crap, but what was going to keep him from ******** them all over once he had the energy back from these crystals? He could be baiting them with promises of a gateway, only to be working for the enemy for all they knew.
The kid had said she'd gotten her pen a few years ago. He looked down at her (Syrma) and finally leaned down slightly to murmur to her, "Look, we only just awoke not long ago. You've been at this lon'er than we have. Ever see any s**t like this b'fore? What's your take on this guy?"

Metis, Super Senshi of the Third Eye
"Thank you," was her small murmur to Caedus as he gave her the crystal. Her gloves kept it from taking energy immediately--something she was grateful for--and instead she held it between her fingers as she pressed it against a section of her bare upper arm. It only took a few seconds for it to work, and after a moment, the crystal she couldn't see... became illuminated from within by swirling copper energy. She marveled at it, amazed at not only how quickly it worked... but that it actually did as he said.
"Should we return these to you before we leave..?" Metis lifted her head to look towards Caedus, though it still took a moment for her to be sure she was looking in the right place. A few others had already asked how much energy would be needed for this, she didn't need to add to that number. Though she was heavily concerned by the idea of it was apparently mostly safe...
"Do you possess any other crystals beyond ones that can... absorb energy?" She didn't want to say drain energy, or she'd be right back on the offensive and siding him with the Negaverse. Which really. Said quite a bit, she knew, but she was trying to be nice for now.
There were a lot of things about this that concerned Oberon. Things that could go wrong, things that could easily be played right into the Negaverse’s hands… But there was also the potential for good things. If they were able to pull one over on the Negaverse, that would be good for them, of course.
”Me, too,” he said as Caedus continued handing out the crystals, following Perdita’s choice not to bombard him. There was still something strange about the man, but seeing as he’d been doing dangerous things for the past several years, figured one more thing was just the same roll of the dice. If he died, he died. If he survived, then he can make another sketchy choice later.
“He seems nervous,” he said to Perdita, although making note of Hugbell nearby who was also offering food to the mysterious man. “I’ve never felt that aura before. And these crystals… I kind of want to ask for another one so I can put it through my chemistry set… you know?” he said, wondering if Caedus would allow him more than one.

"Yet here we are." He shot back before sighing quietly. "So... What's the plan then? I'm not really feeling the whole... give up some energy for a guy we barely know scheme, but you know I'll follow you and Val on whatever you guys decide."
His gaze then shifted to Themi when she spoke. "Sure they do." He mumbled bitterly. "I remember having one of those messed up dreams... or visions or whatever the ******** you wanna call them, where I just gave up." The squire shifted his weight from one foot to the other. "I was dying in it. Someone I knew, a senshi who had corrupted, decided it would be fun to call a General Queen and have me corrupted." A dying squire, corrupted. Because that aided them soooo much. "This General Queen decided that instead of leaving it at just a forced corruption, that she would turn me into a half youma'd agent. Physically, I was just that. Mentally, I acted more like a full then a half. That happened all because the General Queen was bored and wanted something fun to do. That's it. They don't take care of their own." It was a nightmare that still frequented him often. "You're not protecting anyone by doing something like that. You're just opening wounds."

If she was honest with herself, Varuna didn’t know what to think about the whole situation. She didn’t necessarily want to risk herself, or have others risk themselves, for something that they didn’t know the outcome. But she was also there. Powered up. Obviously wanting to do something to help the city and the people who lived there. But this man, she couldn’t manage to get a decent feel on him. He could be a very good actor, know how to lure in enough people with his charms. Wasn’t that how many cults started? A charismatic leader type luring people in with promises of something better?
Varuna stood closer to Palatine and the knight, Sessrumnir whom she’d met once a long time ago. Neither of them seemed too enthusiastic about the prospect of jumping into potentially throwing their lives away. So while she waited to see what would happen, Varuna stayed on guard, ready to use her magic at a moment’s notice.

Hugbell smiled softly at Caudes as he handed the crystal. Nodding to show she understood he was hesitant about accepting help from the bear. For Barnaby she lifted her foot up behind her so the bear could climb up it and then up to her hand finally deciding to sit on top of the senshi's head to look around at the crowd. There were so many people he'd never seen so many at once. Hugbell was giggling as Barnaby was trying to decide which way to face. She glanced over catching sight of Perdita and Oberon, she smiled and winked at them.
"Ah a sleep aid?" She finally addressed Caedus himself. She held the crystal softly and held it softly, "I see. . . such interesting means to bring someone to rest though. . ." She was inspecting it and making mental notes of the differences in this crystal and those on her home world, including the one that brought Barnaby to life.
"Beyond dropping it is there a way to turn off the energy consumption? I mean, honestly I don't think we'd want others just grabbing these that don't understand what they are." She shifted softly looking around at the others. Some who obviously didn't trust him, which was okay. She'd not been given a reason to distrust him, and often that's how Hugbell treated any situation. Trust until otherwise proven untrustworthy. She seemed tempted to shuffle over to Perdita and Oberon. Perhaps they had some ideas about this?

Hello!
Niflhel's brows quirked and he sighed softly, this wasn't what he'd expected and Caedus was handing out crystals like they were bad candy. " . . . I smell something fishy." He muttered to Snowball who for the moment was still in Polaris' arms. Looking as if he couldn't trust a stranger and yet there were others than were offering their hands. Some seemed to do it so that the others could decide, which while fine. He'd been more comfortable had just a select few offered themselves up. His eyes glanced over to Polaris and Stonehenge who was busy but he continued to stay nearby his wife with arms crossed.
Snowball's tail flickered as he was sitting on Polaris' shoulders looking towards Stonehenge as he spoke. The cat's ears perked and he nodded to Niflhel before turning back to inspect the page. Honestly, the behavior the first displayed almost indicated that Snowball wasn't sure if he should speak to him.
However when Polaris called for his attention, he looked to see whom he was suppose to be following after and bringing them back for Polaris. "Pardon me for a second, I have a page to catch, I'll be back shortly." He jumped down from Polaris' shoulder and headed over towards Sintashta, finally deciding to use his front paws and lean on the page's leg giving a meow for a hello.

Odainsaker frowned as Caedus handed out crystals and shook her head softly, "I'm . . . not sure about that . . . " However she stopped and looking back to Duhr she started laughing a little "Oh my goodness, I've forgotten my manners. I really should introduce myself shouldn't I?"
Thankfully Duhr was still close by and while her attention may have wondered from the Page, she was still close enough for Odainsaker to introduce herself properly. "I'm Odainsaker, by the way, Page of Cosmos." She offered a hand to Duhr.

Puck began to speak and suddenly the cloaked figure at the top of the hill was the most fascinating thing Eros had ever seen. She stared intently at him, if it was a him, and tried very hard not to look like she was trying not to look at her estranged flatmate. Whatever he had to say, she really, really didn’t want to hear it right now. This was the worst of places to pick their fight back up and she just plain wasn’t ready to deal with it either. A few days hadn’t made that it any easier, which was why she’d been sneaking into the house to all but steal changes of clothes when Rob wasn’t home. She hadn’t packed up anything, but she hadn’t quite convinced herself yet that she needed to move out. Even if Rob probably wanted her to and that’s what he wanted to talk about. All the more reason she didn’t want to deal with him right now…
But she was saved from that awkwardness. The goings on in front of them was a good distraction and despite the major distraction Puck himself was, she was catching some of it. And she honestly had no idea what to do with any of it. Queens? Alliances? The Rift? What was all of this? Admittedly, she knew even less than Puck did about the history of the war or even all that much about the different factions themselves and this was all far over her head. The best she could do was collect it and tuck it away to think about later, see if she could make sense out of the pieces. It was like walking in on a couple having a conversation about something in their shared past… with as much context for you.
“He’s standing alone in the middle of a huge group of senshi and stuff. What is he gonna do? That dude with the wings would crush him before he’d made it two steps, I bet. And if he wants our help, its in his best interest to tell us whatever we need to hear to get us to do as he wants, so you can be sure if he’d not lying, he’s definitely spinning things to put himself in a better light.” She shrugged loosely. Its what she would do. As long as it wasn’t outright lying that you could get caught doing, why not phrase things a little better if it was really important people get on your side?
“Its not like he’s forcing us to do anything…” She said as the figure showed off a bag of something and began passing out little somethings it was hard to see past people taller than she was. “If you don’t like it, don’t take one. I don’t plan on getting roped into anything I don’t understand, that’s for sure.”

Paris
Not a party, just a gathering of oh well, wouldn't you know it? A bunch of people just like him, magical and special and powered and there were talking cats and lots of people with wings and turned out that this negaverse or whatever it was called had held a crystal alien captive and now that alien was all gung-ho about letting them storm the fortress and try to kill the final boss.
Paris suddenly had a rock drop in his guy. This was most utterly not what he'd signed up for, (he amended it- he'd never signed up for anything and this was a huge mistake). As the explanations and questions continued he felt more and more uneasy about the whole situation. In fact he was most sure that he was going to regret it come morning, staying out so late and not just staying home for once to study like a good kid looking to get into a college.
Still, Paris took an offered crystal jumping as it began to change and swirl inside and making the idea of rest all the more palatable. Sleep aid? For free? Count him in. Fishy? Maybe but god everything here was fishy the only thing lacking was a sushi bar.
They even had cats all over the place so hey, even had quests already.
The other girl seemed to be pretty chill, and Spacewatch was down with being chill. Well, as chill as one could be given that holy moley the dude who'd call them to this after dark roast of all things bad and whatnot was some magical alien that wasn't even alive. How that even worked Spacewatch had no idea but dang if that didn't grab her attention. And by her attention, she meant her wanting one of those dang crystals.
Invasion? Rift? Who gave a darn those crystals were just flat out neat-o, and she was all over free swag. What kid of adult was she if she didn't go for the good stuff. Plus, everyone else was doing it so how unsafe could it be?
The second she took it however, she jumped, dropping it as if it had burned her. It hadn't done anything at all. She was just a bit taken back by how normal it felt. Could have at least felt more... alien-y.

Alphard says welcom 2 earth
As far as space things went, Alphard had a single running motto. If it doesn't make sense don't bother with it. So far, that seemed to work out pretty okay for him. Or, well, it had until he'd gone and ruined a perfectly nice friendship because of his typical argumentative self. Sometimes he just thought people were wrong and that maybe they ought to see he was right because he probably was right. Except when he wasn't. Teide had been right, being in the diner was dumb in a way, but he was still convinced that he wasn't wrong either.
Youma would come after them no matter what. Didn't matter if it was a dinner or a dive or something else that started with a the letter D just give him a while he'd back to you on that other location. Bah, baseline: Youma would ruin everything, and they were monsters and he felt bad they had to do the dusty dusty, (which HE couldn't even do well), but they sometimes had to be? It would have attacked that lady and the cook. And Alphard REALLY liked that place, (even if now it was temp closed and the hostess screamed when she'd seem him later that week).
Point was, he really regret being a jerk about it and he was still getting used to this whole space deal. So when the call went out, (well more a sort of dull ache that said look at me), he went. What he hadn't expected was a history lesson, followed by finding out aliens were real, (cue him reliving that phase where are 51 was totally real), but also free crystals. He looked at them then at the alien then at them again. Teide wasn't far off and while he was avoiding her- "Hey uh-" He wormed his way to the alien through the crowd. "You seem kinda edgey so-" He reached under the collar of his fuku, pulling out a lighter and a joint. "It can help take the edge off ya know?"
Tomlin shrugged, a long-drawn stretch of his shoulders and front paws. He didn’t find Order’s behaviour difficult. Then, he was on the difficult side himself. There was a part of him that knew the only reason he hadn’t sprung to the front to offer aid was because the senshi had done it for him. It might be worrying Miss Kitty, but Tomlin approved of her senshi already.
“Not so easy to balance caution and kindness,” he said softly.
The figure on the hill sounded very sure of his homeworld’s survival, and Tomlin hoped for the alien’s sake that he was right. A world of research would be worth investigating. With so many accepting the crystals, maybe the cats could borrow one for examination back at HQ?
Then he shot another surprised sidelong look at the white mauvian. “You have an ‘owner’?” he asked, in a tone that suggested finger-quotes were only missing because he lacked the digits.
He shook his head, scanning the crowd again. No, he hadn’t spotted Sailor Callisto’s uniform amongst the others, or caught her voice. Of course, she probably wouldn’t be calling out. Miss Kitty would like her.
“No owner. But my senshi? Haven’t seen her tonight. Her team might be here, though,” he added.

Princess Polaris
"Baptism by fire." She joked a little to Stonehenge's comments on being new, an empathetic expression touching her face. Even though it had be ages and ages ago she recalled how scary her first battle had been. And how overwhelming her first Order meeting had seemed too.
"I would suggest a short visit, even if just to try and find your magical ring." With Niflhel right next to her it was easy enough for her to reach over and point at the unique looking signet ring on the knight's finger. "It's a really cool little thing. You can write messages, and then if you touch your ring to it it will magically send the message to whoever you like, whether they are powered up or not."
"So once you have that communication is much easier. But in the meantime phone numbers will be just fine. Once we get home tonight I'll have Niflhel send you a message with my phone numbers and our address.
"My name is Aurora by the way." She added, leaning in and lowering her voice just a smidge to share the delicate information before straightening once more, her eyes returning to Caedus and her expression souring.
"Yeah I do not like this at all." She agreed with Niflhel's concern, feeling a soft nervousness in her stomach. "Do you remember the snow globes?"
"They could be innocent enough.. but who knows.. they could be doing terrible damage that people aren't even noticing yet. Marking them for the Negaverse to find. Infecting them with some sort of energy draining disease. Or what about those comas even?"
"We needed someone to test it but... not so many." Her eyes gazed at all the people, especially the younger senshi that were taking and asking for crystals.
Shifting uncomfortably, her wings shivered a little. "I think it would be a good idea to maybe focus on trying to keep an eye on some of the crystal holders when we're patrolling over the next few nights..."
Sintashta looked down at the new weight on his leg, a moment of trepidation in the back of his mind. All of this was kind of getting to him. When he looked down, he saw the fluffy mass of another cat, although this one actually meowed.
Before he knew it, he asked, "I don't suppose you talk too, right?"
Considering his first interaction with a talking cat had been...just a few minutes ago - and where did that bugger go anyway? - he was....well he didn't know what he was anymore.
