Dumuzi gave the wheel a solid spin, though she had to admit that this wheel did feel a little more… stiff… than some of the other ones that she had used before. Maybe it just needed oil or something. Whatever the case was, she waited patiently until the wheel slowed to a stop to reveal her prize. It was a whopping two tickets! Oh well, you couldn’t win them all. There was always next time though, and she was rolling pretty good, all things considering so she was more than okay with a few minor set-backs along the way. She took her tickets and added them to the pile before continuing onwards, looking for the next booth that was going to give her some excitement.

She had no idea what possessed her to try the wailmer challenge, but here she was standing in front of the tank where all the little wailmer were with a paper net and the chance to win 100 tickets. She had to admit that the chances were slim, but what the heck, she’d try it out anyway. At the very least she would get a ticket out of the deal and she could return to her normal fishing expeditions a little later. She reached into the tank and carefully maneuvered her net into a favourable position, so far so good… then she slowly brought the net up to towards the top. Alright, so far it was going well, maybe she could actually do it? She just started to bring the net out of the water when it fell through, a few people begrudging how close she was for her. She took her ticket and went on her way. It wasn’t a total loss. She just needed to prefect the idea of her actually getting the Wailmer into a bit of a better position is all, maybe she would try again with that some other time.

Dumuzi wrapped her sleeves around her arms again, though let her hair stay down this time, she didn’t want to wear out the luck of the intensity. She got what she needed last time, so she didn’t feel the need to test her luck and push it. With the first ring tossed, she was happy to see that it went over the neck of a bottle before settling, sadly, the second one was way off, but the third ring fell once more over the neck of the bottle, earning her 5 tickets, which she was very pleased with. She may not have been an expert at the games but she could still luck out from time to time. Graciously she took her tickets with a thank you and added them to the pile. Onto the next game!

Ugh, Dumuzi didn’t know why she even bothered with the arcades anymore, the only thing that she was really good at was the pinball machine and others were trying to beat her score on it right now. Oh well, it didn’t take very long before Dumuzi burnt thought her extra lives and the machine spat out a pity ticket for her to cry into later on. With a defeated sigh, Dumuzi banked the ticket and decided to move onto the next game where she would hopefully do a little bit better.

Well, she wasn’t doing that great at the darts game either… Dumuzi had wrapped her sleeves up like she usually did, though this time she must have wrapped them a little too tight which prevented enough of a bend in her elbows to throw the darts accurately or even with enough power to pop the balloons for that matter. She managed to get three of them which resulted in her getting 2 more tickets. She banked those and headed off on her way, making a mental note to not wrap her sleeves so tightly around her arms next time. Yeah… she’d blame that!

✿ ❀ Poor Theo... He was so flustered and upset by Leon's teasing, and honestly Isis knew how he felt, and told Leon to cut it out. She was sure Theo didn't mean to sound arrogant, he was probably just confident in himself and his pokemon to take on the gyms. Or rather, whichever one he was up against next, Isis didn't know how many badges Theo had, so she asked. Unfortunately Theo hadn't obtained any badges yet, and not only that, but Tyvia was just the name of the Theo's region, not an elite trainer school like Isis had assumed. That was all rather worrisome....
Before Isis could really talk to Theo about it though, the boy ran off, saying he would be right back. "Hm... Well.... Okay. Guess I'll just address that when he gets back...." Isis murmured to herself, letting out a sigh and turning her attention back to Leon and Dumuzi. She was really glad Dumuzi was inspired to sew some more, though if she were to do so, she'd need to have her own setup to do so, which gave Isis the idea of introducing Dumuzi to Machina, explaining that he held similar interests, and Dumuzi seemed to take to the idea, happy to get some fresh perspective. "Mm yeah~ And it would give you a place to work, since I'm sure Machina wouldn't mind you hanging out and working on projects with him. it could be really fun~" Isis said excitedly.
Now came the question of what kind of costume Dumuzi could make for the smart contest. Isis asked what pokemon the young coordinator was planning to use for that contest category, that way maybe she could base the costume on that, but Isis also suggested maybe trying something robotic or cybernetic looking. The pokemon Dumuzi planned to use for the contest was a Ralts, so it wouldn't be too bad of a fit, but she would probably have to fiddle with it. Dumuzi at least thanked her for the idea and said she would try to draw up some design ideas. "No problem~ Maybe you and Machina could come up with something." Isis shrugged. They then got to talking about Isis' favorite contests and contestants, Isis pulling out her camera to she Dumuzi pictures of Ren, which somewhat branched off into another topic of drawing pokemon versus taking pictures of them. It was fun to relate to someone like this. Isis was sure that if she actually liked to draw it would be pretty therapeutic for her too, but her love had always been photography.
Isis giggled as Dumuzi teased that she might let her see the inside of her sketchbook. Maybe. "Well whenever that day is, I look forward to it." Isis said honestly, and after she found Ren's pictures and let Dumuzi look at them, she spotted Theo in the distance heading back towards them. "Hey Theo!" She waved, flagging him down and waiting till he came closer before continuing the conversation. "I've been thinking about what you said and... Well, I just want to tell you to be careful, alright? Studying about pokemon and battles is one thing, but actually being in one is something else entirely... Have you been battling other trainers with your pokemon? Do you know which Gym you're going to be taking on first?" She asked somewhat worriedly. These wee important questions to consider after all.
Isis was distracted however as Dumuzi's mind seemed to put together pieces of a puzzle Isis didn't know she had lain out for the girl to solve, and when the young coordinator cried out asking if Ren was why Isis and Leon had met, Dumuzi's train of thought and imagination took off, full speed ahead, and Isis couldn't stop her. Goodness she was so embarrassed, and Leon's playing along wasn't helping Isis' blush clear up, and soon she was feeling to need to hide her face in Leon's chest and Jinbei to save any shred of dignity she could salvage from the situation. The sad part was that she actually liked Dumuzi's version of their first encounter better than the real one.... It could be a happily ever after she supposed, but only time would tell if this relationship actually worked out. This was only their first date for crying out loud! And yet Leon was insinuating that they had a steamy romantic past. Pft. Isis didn't even know what to do anymore, just giving up and letting it happen, even allowing a bit of laughter to escape, albeit muffled between herself and Leon's chest. Though, as Isis felt Leon pull her closer, Isis had to admit it felt really nice...
Not long after, Leon announced that they had arrived at Cape Brink, so Isis straightened and took a look at their destination. Leon was right, there was definitely some sort of dance party going on in the area. A string of paper lanterns outlines the designated dance floor, though they remained unlit for now since it was still light out. Isis smiled and bobbed her head a bit to the beat of the music in the distance. "Hee~ Looks like fun! We should probably be wary of the water though." Isis pointed out, glancing to the river that ran through the cape. It would be bad if they got too rambunctious with their dancing and accidentally fell in. ✿ ❀

Snow pushed up from her spot on the bench straightening her dress back out before attempting to stand. The twins were still running about with energy to burn leaving Luponny to sit close by and watch.
