what happened:
 Illo
One of the luxuries of broadcasting telepathy was that speech was no longer limited to the speed at which a person could flap their gums.
Smug? No, I wouldn't say that... You're very good! He remarked as she regained her footing quickly. However... His telekinesis was strong enough at this point to toss Carmen's fire around. He made an Iron Phoenix crest with it as he rolled the flames away from his body. Illo's soul perception had also greatly increased, and Carmen's speed was also easier to follow. Her kick would land short as Illo would make a quarter turn and step back. As he did so he used his hand closest to Carmen to swat down and exert force down on Carmen's ankle. This would serve to draw Carmen forward faster and perhaps throw her off balance a little. Illo would hope to keep leading Carmen back in this way.

Carmen Laurell Difficulty: Hard Carmen was drawn forward by Illo's force, but she didn't lose balance for a moment. She allowed the force to push her foot back down to the ground, catching herself and using as much of the force as she could to spin to the side and come around a second time, reversing her attack by raising the other leg while keeping the leg she had originally kicked with on the ground. "Why thank you!" She used this to come around with a spin-kick aimed to hit Illo directly in the face with the back of her heel. Abilities used: Hard - These opponents are very experienced and talented fighters. They are somewhere between graduate level and Death Scythe level in strength. Unless you are a Death Scythe or otherwise extremely strong, your chances of winning one-on-one are possible, but slim. You should strongly consider bringing a partner/ally to this fight.

Illo Illo raised an eyebrow. It wasn't so often an opponent could turn a stopping motion like that block into more forward motion. However, this didn't mean he wasn't ready for it. In the time it took for Carmen to spin around Illo easily moved his leading hand from the position it had been in, the one after the block, slightly below his shoulders, to a wing chun kick block which used his turning momentum to add strength to the block. But Illo didn't wait for the kick to bounce off his wrist, it was an old adage among Gong Fu practitioners not to waste motion, and used his leading foot, made leading by the turn to block, to perform a Chasse kick.
The Chasse is a Savate low side kick used to maximize the reach of a combatant, and uses the forward momentum of a target against it by executing a stop-hit on the nearest weak point, typically the knee. With Carmen coming in this way, her back knee was almost begging to be hit by the kick. Whether or not it was the same knee as Illo hit before is another story.

 Suu was sitting in the arena almost asleep, she was told by lord death to go into the area and await her opponent, so she decided to possibly sleep until her opponent arrived, so she waited with her long blade stabbed into the ground vertically.

Misty arrived to her arena appointment where the leporine fighter awaited. "Oh, good, you are here. And I was hoping to be in a line." said the brunette while leaving her backpack on a bench while getting ready for the event.

Suu opened her eyes and wiped them to get any sleep-like dust from them. she then stood up and just smiled at the girl only to speak in her voice "o good your here...finally" she said putting her arms behind her head

 The brunette was startled at first and shook it away thinking it was just her imagination. For a brief moment she thought about her own voice answering back. "Anyways, I was looking for a descent match that would help me out on something and I got good references from you. So I'll be in your care."Said Misty before jumping into the arena.

Suu tipped her head still smiling "ive never had anyone in my care before...well...i think i had a wolf..but it died" she said still using her voice as she watched her enter the arena "so since your in the ring i rather fight than take care of you" she said being completely honest, she did have a mind set that of a child which many thought was annoying but it was just her. she grabbed the handle to the giant blade which was above her head but she managed to take it out of the ground.

There it was again, for some reason she kept hearing her own voice every time Suu talked. "Maybe I'm loosing my mind? is she a madness user?"She pondered for a brief while before answering. "Well I expect you to fight me. That should do the job. After all it was a figurative speech when I said I expected you to take care of me."Stated Misty, tensing her body for a short instance before relaxing it, jolting moments later against Suu, aiming for a roundhouse kick against her side.

Suu justkept staring at her but when she came at her Suu seemed ready but remained in a calm and relaxed form but when she sent a kick at her she moved her arm in the way having it absorb all the hit, and send her some metal resistance, she wanted to see how well she could do against kicking metal with strength. right after she jumped back touching the ground with her hand having the shadow move and jump out and charge at Misty in a straight path.

Much to Suu's surprise, just as soon as she blocked the kick, a metal Clank! sounded while Misty spinet like a ballerina, redirecting the reversal kick now towards her face. She had read about Suu before facing her, mostly on the informative pamphlets at the entrance of the arena, so she deduced it was safer to remain within range with an all out strategy rather than keeping a distance. Especially because of that sword of hers. Misty was surprised as well, since she didn't expected Suu to have metal traits as well, since by the looks she would have swear Suu was softer. However, by this first trade, they both knew that both of them could acquire metal traits at some point. Wether it was permanent or temporal was still a mystery.

the shadow sent by suu shaped like a dog more than anything ran at Misty charging to tackle her and regardless if it did or not sword like spikes would come from its body stabbing anything around it and cutting them "now...dont hurt my pet" she said in her voice

The kick could never hit since she was charged by a shadow beast. "what?!"While her body received the tackle head on, the spikes were starting to pay a token on her clothing, since with every assault at her body, the various clink and clank would reveal Misty had this constant trait with her. Transforming into her weapon form however, it started bouncing back part of the damage to her shadow. Right now she was waiting for the best moment to recover her ground. Besides she needed to play defensively in this form since she didn't planned to fight without clothes against Suu. "Nobody mentioned anything about a pet. This is 2 v 1"She replied lightly upset, yet nothing beyond that. She still wished to continue the fight.

after its tackle it soon fell into the ground and retreated back to Suu's shadow "Puppy is part of me..making it 1 on 1 silly" she said still using her voice and smiling. before placing both hands on the handle of her blade only to disappear, then to appear right next to Misty with a distance of half of her blade regardless if Misty was still in her weapon form she could still hit her out of the arena using her swing of the blade, if she would turn human she would have aimed for a limb to immobilize it from usage. (this attack is a high movement attack that always ends with her slashing her sword at them)
