America did some elaborate hand gesture thing that ended in another thumb's up, so likely she was saying something along the lines of, Thanks dude, you're helping me a lot here and it's appreciated. I think I'm starting to get the whole weird nakama thing, so I hope it doesn't end in friendship circles, but I'll worry about that later, we've got mermaids to kill.
One mermaid swam up close, so instead of swinging Stryker at her, America just grabbed the spiked ball and used it to punch her right in the face.

America was about to turn for high fives with her ally, but the two of them were swiftly mobbed by angry mermaids. Was it just her, or were they getting hella frisky? Trying to get a good hit in, the Sun's attack missed completely as a mermaid grabbed her hair and viciously tugged her head back.

Whoa, watch out, someone decided to bring out the big guns! America was suitably impressed by her ally's weapons of mass destruction. A bit too impressed, actually. The Sun was busier making big gestures to convey how impressed she was and where could she get arm canons? That had been so cool.
