"Yeah?" She turned her head over her shoulder for a second, "Speaking of machetes, it looks like you ripped right though these guys." Her steps became weighted down as she came closer to the bodies. The uniform was familiar and then there was little to no time before realization. "Look at that." Commander Vossler Stone -dead right before Aiden's eyes. Aiden turned around and swallowed. Lips drew back. A hand went up into her hair and tugged and Aiden whipped around again for a good stare.
He may have still been warm, but pale as always, Vossler was already a ghost in the dark. Eyes lacked their luster and the position of his body was awkward. Of course, that was not much more awkward than such as the missing limb of the man right beside Vossler. Vossler Stone dead - that meant Aiden's plans were dead too. There was three months she'd waited and she'd done so impatiently. Now that all had gone down the drain and Vossler was now in a pool that was his own blood which Aiden stood at the edge of, Aiden would feel guilt for where her concerns were.
A motorcycle pulled up. Again, Aiden jumped up and was ready to disappear happily apart from the mess, but if Chance stood his ground, Aiden could spare a moment.
It was obvious Ceron was only a stranger to Aiden

In the silence of his brief recollection with the new arrival he managed to catch Aiden's words as they echoed between the walls at her increasing distance. Arms still wrapped over his chest, more an act of subconcious defense than anything else befoee he turned his head to answer "You know me; go big or go home." Chance managed a brief and raspy chuckle at the comment, still trying to keep that act of being bullet proof up while he deminished with each passing moment - and the hell of it was, he still had to get back to the hotel.
Head was still turned down to Aiden as the blur of thoughts further fogged his head and eyes staring blankly in her direction but focusing on nothing. But Aiden's sudden turn about focused him and he couldn't help but take in this reaction as if he was the one feeling it - his psyche an open sore at that time. Head turned away in a mix of shame and conviction over what he had done - what he had had to do. In a moment of clarity after the brief notice given by Aiden to his 'guest', he straightened up in preparation to finally get moving in the near future. "We should get out of here. Once that last flame flickers there'll be a thorough search. Sounds like they're about done evacuating.. And my guess is they're starting up on a perimeter.." The simple act of calculating the situation shown that there was still some of him left in tact - those long learned lessons etched in the marble that was his experience.
"You ladies are welcome to stay on my floor at the hotel.. If not - Aiden, keep your dance card open, no telling the stink this is going to cause." Then he turned to Ceron, still having manners enough to oblige the familiar face even though she had seemingly just shown up to the scene. "And maybe me and you can catch up, Ceron. That is if I don't go comatose as soon as I reach my abode."

Ceron removed her helmet and left it atop the bike and pocketed the keys. As she walked into the alley way, Ceron's eyes fell on the girl with Chance. She was a slight of a thing with the slight smell of the fibrous slough they used to heal magical wounds, she also looked a little shell shocked, though whether or not it was the dead bodies that littered the ground courtesy of Chance or the mage fire or the total of the thing, she couldn't say. Then again the first dead body was always the hardest.
But despite Chance's interesting companion it was the dead bodies littering the floor stole her interest. She looked over at the now dead Aes commander and peeked back at the mob pounding the pavement. Kneeling down to the dead body that had been cut to ribbons, keeping her gloves on she looked him over. Confirming for herself that he was dead and checking for anything useful she might pilfer. Unfortunately nothing. His magic armor held no use for her, all her clothes have been woven with magical spells. It took her the better part of some years to find a magic weaver and to convince her to make her what she wanted took the better part of one of her bank accounts.
One could say her interest in the dead was more than what one would say is healthy, but blood, guts and gore always had a special interest for her. she couldn't say why, but when looking at a dead body regardless of it's state she never lost her appetite in the sense of nausea but rather forsake her appetite for something with a little more grist. And she had to admit it was a little fun chopping things up, or at least rearranging things a bit.
"Ceron" she said extending her hand to Aiden before turning back to Chance, "Chance you know I love a good and dead corpse or two. But I'd say if you need a fast get away, now's the time, Aes soldiers are scouring this place for this thing," she kicked at the former Aes commander. She thought for a moment before continuing, "And I'll only come along if you'll be magnanimous enough to share some of this fun during my vaycay. After all the more the merrier right?"

"Aiden." She practically whispered her introduction and was sure she was unheard. She took the extended hand although the handshaking was mostly done in part of Ceron and Aiden would take a moment before retracting her hand as if dazed and so confused. Eventually the hand was placed back where it would be able to grip her hair again - an issue of nerves and she tugged and pulled her head down. She inhaled. She exhaled. Again.There'd been time and time again that Aiden would encounter a body and then there were times Aiden played the villan, but here was a situation not so easily contemplated over.
There was a calm to found in pretending for the good of herself that this particular dead body was just that, a dead body and not a circumstance to stand over on. One last look was given and Aiden came to the present situation that was leaving site of the situation. She gripped onto her shoes. It'd be horrible to forget those there.
"Hey! Forgetting I already have a room? Get me out of here."
Following, and not at all ignored, was the question of what followed up Judith's and Manson's disappearing act.

Chance had grown tired of the sidelong glance at the carnage and stark contrast given by the two delicate looking women against the brutality. He straightened through sheer will, a single eye and right side of his body just peeking around the corner, still under the cover of darkness. The crowd of anxious party goers was beginning to thin visibly to be replaced by men and women of a different sort - local responders speckled with a few military types; impossible to miss. Their window of clean escape was closing right before his eyes as the net began tightening around the scene.
Glance was given over his shoulder to take note of the ladies, and their first formal introduction - hell of a time to meet new friends. Ceron made no attempt to hide her ransacking of the body, and Chance managed a reptilian looking of amusement, knowing he had beaten her to it. Head had turner to face their escape route just in time to hear Aiden's exclamation, which shot a tingle of electricity up his spine and neck from the sudden burst in the relative silence of the alley. Eyes froze solid on the scene of the great migration and he picked up immediately on the sudden attention given in their direction by one of those Lucidus soldier - the first of many to come in they didn't leave soon
Head turned casually, even under the approaching danger of the suspicious enforecement readying themselves for a search. "Maybe you ladies can stay in my quarters and keep me safe." Speaking with that unmistakabley michievious smirk, readying himself for any acting that might be needed to escape this flaming toilet of a building. In all honesty if there were two he'd need protection from it was those two women, but on the other hand the trio could make a force to be reckoned with in this chaotic situation.

On-board the Aes Air Carrier "Dragon's Teeth"The floating Aircraft Carrier glided through the air as it made its way toward the border between Lucidus Magus and Aes. the ship was alive with activity, combat drills were being run constantly, a squadron of Fighters was airborne at all times, providing a protective cordon five kilometers from the airship. On the bridge Vice Admiral Hugo Monmouth, Chief of Aesian Naval Inteligence, was pouring over reports from Aesian spies operating inside Lucidus Magus and the news was not good. The stunt with the Grenadiers had caused mass panic and anger, Aesian merchants and visitors to Lucidus were being attacked in the streets by mobs of angry natives. As yet, no-one had seen anything of the High Commander and Monmouth was beginning to fear the worst. He turned to his aide, a young commander in Intelligence Bureau 6, 'I think we may be facing the distinct possibility that High Commander Vossler may be dead, or at best severely injured. Fetch me the Communications Officer, I'm going to need to inform the Martial Court immediately.'The man nodded and left in search of the Comms Officer, returning a short time later Monmouth appraised the man of the situation and had him send a message back to Aes. The message was brief, but outlined the graveness of the situation. Report from Vice Admiral Monmouth Chief Naval Intelligence STOP Fire in Lucidus Magus STOP High Commander missing rescue attempt failed STOP Condition Violet enact Valkyrie STOP The message instructed the Martial Court that the High Commander was presumed dead and to put the Military on high alert.
