Constance couldn't help but chuckle softly as Merrick nudged her wrist with his cheek. She found it cute. ~~~ Merida shrugged a little as she looked at the two of them. "I would say you look around my age, but I know better." Her head tilted to the side slightly. "So how old are you, if you don't mind me asking?"~~~ Cassandra chuckled. "No, nothing at all." She reached up and gently ran her finger along his jawline. "What could possibly be wrong?"

Merrick exhaled softly, shifting to snuggle closer to her without really thinking about it or realizing it.
Kasumi giggled before her eyebrow twitched, seeing what her brother was doing; for his advanced age in years, he still acted like a kid. She concentrated, quietly focusing her own magical aura before she lightly pushed her hand forward into the water "Nine thousand, four hundred years old," Naruto said idly as he sat up near the end of the lounge chair, picking his nose as if it didn't matter. Moments later a concentrated ball of water hit him full in the face, leaving him spluttering. "Nine thousand, four hundred and fifteen years," Kasumi said quietly.
Lorcán kissed Cassandra deeply, running his hands up and down her back. If I died today, I'd die happy in your arms, he thought.

Kaosujin Ryu hmm, think we should leave Cassandra and Lorcan to it then wink Constance lay her head back down as she snuggled close to Merrick. She hummed softly, a lullaby she had heard when she was a child. Merida used to sing it to her all the time. ~~~~ Merida's mouth dropped open in shock as she looked between the two. "Nine thousand.." she shook her head in disbelief. She wondered how long they could live for. When the water hit Naruto in the face she began to laugh. That was one way to end the awkward silence that had fallen. ~~~~ Cassandra's arms wrapped around Lorcan, holding him close to her. She was truly happy at the moment, and didn't have a care in the world.

Merrick exhaled a soft sigh as his arm tightened around Constance in a subtle hug.
Kasumi laughed as she saw her brother rising slowly from where the Teppōdama had knocked him on his back before he shook his head, his shaggy blond hair and crimson tips flickering in the light before he dove into the water. "Uh oh, watch out, Merida!! The 'mean' fox is coming for us!!" she said with laughter.

Merida laughed as she shook her head. "Us? But you're the one who threw the water at him." She pulled herself out of the water and sat on the edge of the pool. Her feet still dangled in, just below the surface of the water. ~~~~ Constance's eyes closed as Merrick's arms tightened around her. A vague memory of her own father holding her close like this flashed before her mind. How could she remember something from when she was so young? She sighed and just lay there, allowing Merrick to hold her as he slept.

Merrick's eyes fluttered before opening slowly. "Damn, I feel like a horse tried to use my head for a football," he muttered. He exhaled sharply, feeling his body aching as his gaze shifted to see the large sword he'd managed to summon in the library.
Kasumi rolled her eyes. "He's an EOP," she said, fairly sure she'd remember that acronym. She squealed as her brother burst out of the water behind her, though she swiftly dove beneath the water and darted away from him before she surfaced a few feet from Merida. She yelped as she felt a stream of icy water hit her in the back as she went to dive underwater again.

Constance chuckled softly as she looked at him. "You aren't the only one you feels crappy. I don't have a headache, but I certainly do feel as if somebody has used my body as a punching bag." Her head tilted to the side slightly. "Do you remember any of what happened? I just keep getting flashes of random images." ----- "Well isnt that thoughtful of him," Merida said with a chuckle as Kasumi dove back under the water after she had been hit in the back. This was actually pretty relaxing...being able to take her mind off of everything that was going on. Even if it was only for a few minutes. As she sat there she quickly braided her hair to keep it from her face.

Merrick tilted his head, unaware a low purring sound was still coming from his throat before he exhaled sharply. "Bits and peices... last thing I remember was that demon trying to turn me into a lightning rod," he said quietly.

Kasumi laughed as she surfaced. "Trust me, when it comes to pranks and speed, he could beat me in that... I'm more the subtle kind. Fortunately for me, I have more than a few friends that are pleasant to be around," she said with a giggle as her brother tried to grab her from behind, only to have her form dissolve into water. "A Mizu Bushin?!?" he said with surprise as Kasumi shifted on the lounge chair behind Merida, her towel around her shoulders and covering her breasts. "Knowing Constance and Merrick, they'll be sore for a while after that. Even I don't handle those kinds of demons that easily, and I've had experience with it," she said sheepishly.

Constance did notice a purring sound was still coming from Merrick, but she didn't say anything. She liked how they were right now and she didn't want him to pull away in embarrassment. "That...is the last thing I remember too," she said softly. "And then I was engulfed in this blinding rage..." She shook her head a little. ----- "I was surprised at first," Merida said as she turned to look at Kasumi. "At the sheer power those two showed back there. I suppose I shouldn't have been. Not with how their powers have been growing." She sighed and shook her head. They were only kids. They shouldn't have to deal with this mess. "I don't think I have ever seen Constance so angry."

Merrick blinked, looking up at Constance. "I don't know, but if I'm right, it's possible... that something within us recognizes one another. I'll admit, I've known other attractive women... but frankly, none of them had certain reactions from me,"he said quietly. His gaze shifted momentarily to his hips, where a slight tent was visible in the jeans he wore .

Kasumi tilted her head thoughtfully. "Frankly, they surprised even me and that says something," she said thoughtfully. "I've heard rumors of a Fae talent they called 'soulbinding', where two mates would love each other to the point where their souls would partially merge. I don't know if it's true or even possible, but it may explain why Constance had such a strong reaction when Merrick was hurt and vice-versa," she said thoughtfully, watching her brother swimming laps in the water.

Constance's gaze followed Merrick's and when she saw what he was looking a faint blush crept upon her cheeks. Her gaze went up to his and she smiled a little. "And I have known plenty of attractive men, but none have made me as tongue tied and blush so much as you." Unconsciously she had continued to stroke his hair lightly as they spoke. ------- Merida nodded slowly. "Would explain why Constance is always so quiet around Merrick. She has never been like that around any young man before." She moved to a chair next to Kasumi, sitting down.

Merrick chuckled, his foxish ears materializing as her hand stroked one fox ear. He shivered, his eyes closing in pleasure as the tent grew slightly, his purr growing significantly louder for a moment before his eyes popped open, realizing the odd sound he was making. Fortunately he didn't move though he noticed it for two main reasons: he wasn't quite sure he could move without pain yet, and he was just too damn comfortable where he was.

Kasumi exhaled, her foxish ears seeming to pop up from underneath her hair. She giggled after a moment. "I wonder if they'll... have fun," she said with amusement, her smile gaining a slight perverted edge to it; she was far from being a virgin, but she didn't take that particular step with someone unless she knew them well and cared about them deeply. Now that I think about it, I wonder what Cassandra's doing, she thought.

Constance smiled as she rested her head lightly on Merrick's shoulder. "Call me crazy, call me weird, but I love that purring sound you make." Her finger traced lightly over his chest. "It lets me know that you don't mind at all what I am doing." She was so comfortable with him. So much more comfortable than she had ever been with anyone before. ----- "Ugh! Kasumi! I don't even want to think about that!" Merida exclaimed as she smacked her friend on the arm. She shuddered at the thought of Merrick and Constance...no she wouldn't think about that. Not about someone she viewed as a daughter.

Merrick shivered slightly. "I know how you feel; most people, I know at best in passing, but you.... it's different. I'd probably swim through a pool of magma to get to you if I had to," he said with a half smile.

Kasumi laughed throatily. "What, you aren't going to give him the 'don't hurt my daughter' speech?" she said, teasing her friend. She loved to see just how much she could tease people, just to see what they found unfomfortable and comfortable. She found it funny to see how different people reacted to the same teasing.

Lorcán exhaled as he rolled over, his body trembling. "Gods and Godesses... you are amazingly beautiful," he said quietly, gently rubbing Cassandra's abdomen; he knew he hadn't pulled out, but fortunately for him, he'd worked a very minor spell that made it safe.

Constance smiled as she continued to walk her fingers lightly over Merrick's chest. "I would do the same for you," she said softly. "I would go to the ends of the earth, do anything if it meant to keep you safe." She lifted her head a little to look at him. No man had ever earned that kind of devotion from her, but Merrick had. Even though they hadn't known each other for very long. ~~~~ Merida looked at Kasumi and shrugged a little. "He will eventually. I am just not going to disturb them at the moment. They need their rest and if they are...I don't want to walk in on that.." She shuddered again. "Thanks again for putting that image in my mind though." She stuck her tongue out at Kasumi. ~~~~ Cassandra chuckled softly as she lay on her back, breathing heavily. Her hand rested over Lorcan's as she turned her head to look at him. "Hmm, you aren't so bad yourself," she said with a grin. She lifted his hand to her mouth and kissed it gently. "I never thought we would be together like this. In a way..I am grateful all of this happened. It brought us together."
