Rye smiled "Well then lets find the academy together" He chuckled as he pulled out another cigar and then expelled a small burst of fire from his finger tip to light it, "Hope yo dont mind if I smoke?" he stretched with the cigar in his mouth and a smile on his face as he looked twords the girl.

Rye caught his footing and thought 'holy hell shes strong'. one of the lessons Rye never seems to grasp is judging books by there covers, in this mis-judgment it caused him to chuckle as he continued picking up pace with the girl.
With neither one not knowing where the academy is they continued wandering, searching, and talking, "So out of curiosity" he looked down at her still walking by her side "Why do you call your dad professor? Does he teach at the academy or is he a scientist?" Rye wasn't the most educated of people, and his southern American accent didn't help his case, so meeting a professor of high education interested him, yet still not as much as to why SHE called him professor.

After walking for a few minutes, Atticus would soon find himself in the center of the City, which was still in repair. A lot of the buildings and homes that were destroyed by Divine were under reconstruction and others were already finished. Looking around, Atticus found a higher building that was spared from Divine's wrath. Looking at it, Atticus sighed, "You were holding back you foolish old man." he said as he saw the scarred remains of the battle that happened as well as clothes of the people that Divine had killed. While walking through the debris, Atticus saw what only strengthened his hatred for humans. He would witness a young man beating on a woman and trying to steal from her. Stopping there, Atticus watched everything as it played out, the woman would cry out and beg for someone to help her. Being the only one there, the Atticus that Shira and everyone else knew would have gone and helped the woman, but not this Atticus, he seemed to enjoy the woman's screams of fear and despair. In fact he could be seen smiling as the man beat her. "Humans are all so weak and frail. They will easily kill their own kind just for the sake of killing. They truly detest me, I really due hate humanity." Atticus said as he transformed his hand into a sword and in one sweep, decapitated the man. Looking down at the now frightened and crying woman, Atticus would laugh at her and then pick her up by her hair, "Go away now. Don't ever come back to this part of the city again or I will kill you as well" he said as his smile faded and he let the woman go. Watching her leave Atticus looked down at the body just as the soul came out and appeared before him.

As he continued to stare at the soul in his hands, Atticus would sigh as he heard Shira's voice. "I knew that you would be coming soon." he said as he looked up at her, showing no remorse for killing the man, "That is why I let that other one leave. You would only stand in my way if I killed the innocent. Or do you protect trash like this fool here?" he asked, referring to the soul in his hands. "Why did you come here, shinigami girl?" Atticus asked as the blood on his blade dripped slowly.

"Trash is trash it doesn't matter if they are on your list or not. If I wish to, I could kill that woman if it will balance things out." Atticus told her. "And don't call me Atty, shinigami. The name is Atticus Eternia." Atticus said as he didn't seem to be too concerned about Shira doing anything to harm him, "I doubt that you will do anything to me, so let me finish eating this soul." he said, as he opened his mouth and held the soul up in the air, "Is it taboo for me to do this? Will you have to kill me if I eat a human soul?"

Hearing Shira speak, Atticus would instantly tell that she was different, more confident and calm. "Looks like you have finally shown your true-self shinigami girl." Atticus said as he was just about to devour the soul just as Shira launched a shadow like energy towards him, took the soul out of his hands and then recede back to her. Not surprised at all, Atticus looked up at Shira, his head cocked awkwardly to the side as his face was expressionless. Holding his hand out towards her, Atticus gave a obviously fake smile and asked politely for the soul. "May I please have that soul back?"

Seeing Shira pretty much devour the soul, Atticus would slowly lower his hand and turn his back away from her, "You made a big mistake, shinigami girl." he said as he would close his eyes and sense out the presence of a nearby soul, "I will have what i came for." Atticus told her as he quickly dashed into an alleyway and reappeared a few seconds later with a little girl in his hand. The girl was clearly living on the streets on her own. She was gravely weak and covered in dirt, "You took away my meal, so I will have to take this little one's soul as an replacement." Atticus said as he would pierce the girl in the chest, without hesitating, causing for her to squeal in pain and her blood to flow out on the ground, "Her death is all your fault."

Atticus allowed for Shira to get the girl out of his hands and also let the shadow wrap his sword, "Why are you in a fuss over such an insignificant piece of trash? What has she done to garner your protection or concern?" he asked. "Why help her when you don't even know her? i will never understand you." Once finished, Atticus sighed, "Besides, the girl was already dead. Just look at her eyes, dull and lifeless, she had no reason to live, so I offered her salvation through death. is that so wrong?" If this was truly what Atticus is like, then perhaps Shira should rethink her relationship with this cold and careless being.
