Nessa wandered the halls, looking from door to door to try and find the music room. 'It was supposed to be around here somewhere,' she thought, checking the crude map that one of her housemates had drawn for her. She adored music, and had only this year learned that there was a club for that. Finally, she began to hear the soft sound of instruments, following it until she came upon the door and entered, smiling when she recognized Victor from her class. "Hello... Is this where we come to join the music club?" she asked, wondering who was in charge of it all.

Newlyn forced herself to get up and go to the front, sitting down at the piano. She felt guilty about singing something sort of depressing after Victor had played such a sad melody and Chloe and Leonette has sang that song. She spoke up quietly. "I haven't sang in a really long time, everyone, so please excuse me if my voice sounds off or rusty. I haven't wanted to sing in a long time, and this song is a bit sad and depressing, so I apologize. But it's also hopeful, and that's how I want to feel. Hopeful, that is." She blushed a little and decided to just play before she embarrassed herself any further. The second her fingers touched the keys she relaxed and she opened her mouth to sing, hesitantly.
You're alone, you're on your own, so what? Have you gone blind? Have you forgotten what you have and what is yours? Glass half empty, glass half full Well either way you won't be going thirsty Count your blessings not your flaws
You've got it all You lost your mind in the sound There's so much more You can reclaim your crown You're in control Rid of the monsters inside your head Put all your faults to bed You can be king again
You don't get what all this is about You're too wrapped up in your self doubt You've got that young blood, set it free
You've got it all You lost your mind in the sound There's so much more You can reclaim your crown You're in control Rid of the monsters inside your head Put all your faults to bed You can be king again
There's method in my madness There's no logic in your sadness You don't gain a single thing from misery Take it from me
You've got it all You lost your mind in the sound There's so much more You can reclaim your crown You're in control Rid of the monsters inside your head Put all your faults to bed You can be king
You've got it all You lost your mind in the sound There's so much more You can reclaim your crown You're in control Rid of the monsters inside your head Put all your faults to bed You can be king again
The more SYMPATHY you GIVE, the LESS you NEED
Until the DAY that I see YOU on the other side COME and take me HOME I'm not giving IN, I WANT you back Holding together the SHARDS of our PAST
Stole my HEART away, I can't LET you go Break these CHAINS, and let me FLY to you High ABOVE the world BELOW OVER and over in my MIND
"The violin plays a soft melody, as my mind starts to feel ease. Let the music wash over my soul, make my mind pure and whole. Let me be renewed."
So it was normal in the higher circles. That made Victor somehow relieved, to know it was commonplace. Although from the reaction Del had, it must not be approved of.
Such a quandary...
"...It would be really nice to visit sometime Del~" Victor replied with a giggle, still glad Del had not taken his hand away.
It was nice...this comforting feeling.
Victor was sure he wasn't overestimating him, he traveled enough apparently, so he should be good at it. "So...Jack of all Trades? But a Master of None?" Victor then smiled warmly, "Zat is still quite a feet, oui?" Victor then giggled again, at least Del was the humble type.
At the question of what else he did, Victor thought for a moment, "...Besides piano and violin?" He frowned as he tried to think, "Mother had me learn ze harp, to help her fall asleep at night. Father...Father was more of the social one, making me dress in a tuxedo and perform for guests." Victor then sighed, "Status is very important to zem."
When he first came here, he would flaunt his status and try to impress people, but was he only doing it out of habit? "I...was like zat...in my first year here. I'm not sure if I'm still like zat, but I hope I've gotten better about it."
At the hand squeeze victor just blushed more as he squeezed back, reassuringly. It was nice to air out his feelings once in a while.

"Just drop a letter beforehand and we'll be good to go," Del replied, making a peace sign. The blonde was quickly coming to adore the sound of the other's giggle. It was so sweet, the way it sounded. The hand in his didn't help either, it was nice how it fit in his own. When the pinkette talked about his instrumental prowess, he nodded, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. "Yeah, that sounds about right. I didn't master any of them- - - we moved too often for me to and the instruments weren't always available. Also, I kept getting distracted trying to learn new ones."
Victor played the harp? "It would be lovely to see you play the harp one day, because you wanted to, of course," he amended. "Your mother should have gotten a radio, you know," Del told the Frenchman, both amused and exasperated at the reasons the other boy's parents had used as an excuse to make Victor learn those instruments. When status was brought up and the other Hufflepuff began talking about himself, Del shook his head with a smile and brought up their joined hands slightly, squeezing tightly again in reassurance. "You definitely have, I think," the blonde smiled. "You're one of the sweetest people I know and you only need yourself to impress people," he finished.
"The violin plays a soft melody, as my mind starts to feel ease. Let the music wash over my soul, make my mind pure and whole. Let me be renewed."
Victor imagined how that would go with his parents, they would probably be shocked. He had heard they were going to arrange him a wife when he got older. That thought made Victor frown.
"I'll keep that in mind~" He did wonder what Del's house was like, Victor bet it was interesting. Then again he'd be with Del so... It was then that those warm feelings returned and he was confused at the fuzzy feeling he got. What was this?
"Distracted?" At the mention of him playing the harp, Victor just blushed again, "...Maybe I'll perform it for you one day~" He said with a wink. When he realized what he did Victor just blushed more.
"Mother would be aghast at a radio. It's so in her words 'common' after all." He imagined the look of shock on her face and sighed.
That would be priceless.
At the compliment of how he changed Victor just stared at Del, his eyes wide, "Za...Zanks Del..." He then smiled, "You really know how to charm, oui?" Victor then giggled, "Sides...You...Your really sweet too." He then remembered the bonfire and grinned, "Thoughtful too~"
He then clapped at who last performed, staring in awe at them.

Laughing, the younger blonde looked over at the other boy. "Will you really? Perform it for me, I mean," Del asked, smiling. Victor was flirting back! Well, he winked and it was a refreshing change from the blushing, as adorable as it was. "I'll be looking forward to it, then," he replied, smile a bit more mischievous.
"Common? A radio?" he laughed, one brow raised. "I don't know, slumming it isn't that bad. At the very least, it makes for some interesting experiences, living without being waited on hand and foot. It's a given for a traveler," he grinned, tapping his chin. "But it's loads of fun."
Watching the myriad of expressions that crossed the pinkette's face, the taller blonde smiled at the giggle that escaped from the other boy once again.
"Oh?"
Taking in the words, Del smirked playfully. Raising up their joined hands, the blonde turned them over to press a small kiss to the back of the rose-haired boy's hand, lacing his fingers in between the spaces of the other. "Am I really?"
"The violin plays a soft melody, as my mind starts to feel ease. Let the music wash over my soul, make my mind pure and whole. Let me be renewed."
Victor glanced at the music club for a moment, he could get used to being with Del like this. It was...nice. The frenchman then blinked as he listened to Del, "O...Oui..." He then smiled, "I'd perform it anytime~"
Though the harp was gonna be difficult for reasons. He could still play it but... Ignoring that thought though he returned his full attention to Del.
Victor smiled back, "Yeah. Sounds like it would be enjoyable. Traveling I mean." He then thought for a moment, "Or interesting at least."
Victor then paused, shocked at the fact he was just kissed. On..on the hand, but it still counted. Right? That just made Victor blush more as he nodded, "Ye...ummm..erm..." Victor then nodded, "Very...sweet."

Del smiled, lips curling against the skin of Victor's hand. He still hadn't lowered it from where it was just yet- - - he was enjoying it, he would be completely honest here. It was slightly much for his age, what he was doing, but he was aware of it. It was difficult, in a way, thinking with a mind that was older than you really were. It came in handy some times but occasionally, it was a bit of a hassle. Anyway, he didn't particularly care much at the moment. Maybe later, but not now. Watching the Frenchman stumble a bit on his words was adorable. Laughing against the other's hand, Del's smile grew softer. "Well, thank you. It's kind of you. I don't hear that too often," the blonde replied. Pressing another slight kiss against the hand- - - he couldn't help it, really- - - the blonde set their joined hands down out of sight again, making it look as if nothing too out of the ordinary had just happened. It wasn't exactly smart to announce it to the whole world, and Del gave the hand in his a light squeeze and hoped the pinkette didn't take it the wrong way.
Turning back to Victor, Del tapped his chin in thought again. "I should be saying that, though," he smiled, referring to the previous 'sweet' comment. "I'm not nice enough for it sometimes," the blonde laughed, tone teasing. "And yes, travelling is enjoyable. Even if it was hard and unbelievably difficult at times, it's something I wouldn't trade in for the rest of the world. It's given me so many homes," he explained to the other boy, eyes shining in his recalling. "I don't simply have a home. I have homes and everywhere in the world, I know there's always a place for me to rest and belong. I've never once felt homesick, you know," Del smiled, happily remembering the childhood that he had had hopping from one place in the world to another. "The world is my oyster, and all that."
"The violin plays a soft melody, as my mind starts to feel ease. Let the music wash over my soul, make my mind pure and whole. Let me be renewed."
Victor's mind was still racing, he would really need to ask someone about this later on...but for now he was content with Del and him sitting together. "...Yo...You should." Victor stuttered, "It's tr-true..." He then blushed more as his hand was kissed again.
That fuzzy and warm feeling was back in full force and Victor looked around, no one seemed to notice yet. Probably because of a performance on stage, he then tilted his head at the light squeeze and just smiled as Del continued on about how he had many homes because of traveling, it did seem enjoyable, if it gave you that much joy.
"World is your oyster?" Victor then grinned, "Then could I be your pearl~?" He replied, his tone teasing, though he was still blushing so the flirt didn't have much impact to him.
Noticing his surroundings though Victor smiled again, "Hey...Let's go to the gardens..." The frenchman said, getting up, his hand still held. "It's nice enough outside..."
I feelniceyou know? My inner thoughts are,"...///....Gardens would also help my racing heart..." I'm in the house ofHufflepuff. I am a proudsecondyear My puppeteer says"..."Out of character.

Annabeth fidgeted with her skirt as she walked through the door of the music room. She had been invited to the meeting by Romulus, who was a regular here, apparently. He never told her that he was musical. Honestly, she wasn't surprised. He was so good at so many things, after all. Music had to be on that list somewhere. And since he had invited her here, she made sure to dress nice, or as nice as she could get without wanting to stab something. Standing in the doorway, Anna looked out at the other members of the club. A few students performed already, playing the guitar and piano and whatever else they could find that made a sound. They were really good, but where was the one person she was looking forward to watching? He had to be around here somewhere... The girl glanced to her left and saw him. Well, that wasn't too hard. He had been sitting practically right in front of her this entire time. He seemed to be looking for someone too. Maybe her? She crept up behind him, a playful smirk dancing across her lips as her thin arms slid around his shoulders from behind, wrapping the boy in an awkward hug. Awkward in the sense that he was sitting and she was standing behind him and pretty much just hugging the chair he was sitting in, and in the sense that she was just an awkward individual. "Looking for someone, Romy?" she asked, her smirk fading to a gentle smile. He always had that effect on her. He made her want to show off her smile to the world.

When Victor had gotten up and tugged on his hand, the blonde couldn't really resist all that much. He was slightly out of it, he supposed.
He was surprised.
For a moment, he doubted whether he actually heard right on what the other male had spoken before he realized, yeah, no, he actually did hear what he heard and he had fought tooth and nail not to blush about it. That was such a straightforward flirt and to think only a few moments ago, he had been blushing and stuttering, which was the cutest thing he might have ever seen.
Following the Frenchman out the door of the music room, when they had walked a little while, Del tugged on the hand that held Victor's, pausing momentarily in their walk. Giving a smile, the younger leaned into him, mouth next to his ear as he whispered his answer. "Could you be my pearl?" he asked, voice soft and tone low. "I don't think there's anyone else right now I'd rather it would be."
Pulling back the blonde continued to walk, squeezing the hand in his once again, smile never having have left his face.

Romy jumped when arms wrapped around him from behind. He looked at the person, then smiled. "I indeed was! Perhaps you can help me find them?" He bat his eyelashes, still grinning. "She's got soft, wavy brown hair, eyes bluer than the ocean and twice as deep, small, adorable hands, and a beautiful smile. Know anyone like that?" He stood, then enveloped her in a hug, kissing her lightly on the nose, before offering her his seat. He was a gentleman, after all.

Ariana looked at the door when another girl walked in. The prefect recognized her as a second year from her house. "It sure is, Nessa!" she called happily, her mouth forming into a smile once again. Once again, that smile faded when Newlyn excused herself for playing a depressing song. The redhead still clapped once the girl finished performing, just like she had done for every other performance, but she couldn't help but feel rather sad after all of these depressing songs. C'mon, someone sing something fun and upbeat! she hoped. Not everybody could have come into the first meeting of the year with a sad song, right?!

Nessa smiled shyly as she was greeted by an older member of her house, listening again as another somber composition was played. Glancing toward the harp in the corner, she bit her lip and smiled. That was perfect. Taking a seat, she looked around the room quietly. ".. I have a song I'd like to play... It reminds me of happy days, and new beginnings... I thought it might be really fitting for the first club meeting of a new year, and perhaps it will foreshadow a budding friendship that we can all share..." Lifting her fingers to the harp strings, she began her melody, a small and contented smile ever present on her lips.

Annabeth rolled her eyes at the boy. She knew he was talking about her, but honestly, she didn't see herself in the way he described her. When she looked in the mirror, all she saw was a short, scrawny, pale girl with a mess of hair that vaguely had the color of chocolate and plain 'ole blue eyes trapped behind a pair of glasses. She was nothing like the girl Romy was looking for, even if they were the same person. What was that saying though? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, or something like that? Maybe he did see her as the beautiful girl he had described, and unless she was him, she wouldn't see herself in the same way... Anna blushed at the thought, but was quickly hugged by Romy, which provided an excuse as to why her cheeks suddenly reddened. And he kissed her nose. That... That just wasn't fair! He was using his Romyness against her! 'Get it together, Anna. Just chill out, and don't be weird.' The girl sighed to herself, regaining her previous state of mind. "Thank you, Romy. You're such a gentleman." she began, taking the seat he had offered to her. She smoothed out her skirt, turning to face the boy, and offering him a gentle smile. "I haven't seen the girl you're looking for, but she must be around here somewhere." A girl approached the front of the room and started playing a harp. It was a beautiful sound. Anna had never really been musical, but she did love music nonetheless. Curious, the girl glanced at the big case at Romy's side. Was that his instrument? "Are you gonna play something too, Romy? And what's in the case? It looks like a big violin or something." Yes. The girl wasn't very educated in the arts of classical music. She was more of a listener when it came to this area of knowledge.
