Mitsu removed her pin as well heading back to Amity in a flash. There she found a gnome passing out forms and she was reluctant to take it, instead shooing the gnome aside before she regarded the reaper.

"I'm...going to head back to my room. I'm tired." She forced a smile as she patted Shun's arm. "I can help you fill out your form before I leave if you like."

"What is this form for exactly?" he asked, still not quite sounding all there. Shun saw the forced smile and felt the pat at his arm, but he was feeling a little numb all around.

"A survey it looks like," Mitsu said looking the paper over, muttering what almost sounded like a curse as the gnome tried to get her to take one again. Frustration started to cross her features before she suddenly snapped out of the moment looking sheepish.

Shun watched as Mitsu dealt with the gnome, even muttering what sounded like a curse. It was a little surprising to him to hear that.. despite having heard her swear before. It just still never really happened all that often. Looking at the paper, he soon slowly shook his head.

"Then it isn't needed. Let's go."

"Alright.." Mitsu nodded, giving Shun's hand a light squeeze before heading to the door.

Without another word, Shun did end up crumpling the survey and left with Mitsu.

No, no, no. None of the other humans Taima saw looked like people she wanted to hug (not that she wanted to hug any of them, but if she absolutely had to...) These people were essentially prey, after all, and she'd always been taught not to play with her food. It was interesting to watch. They were completely oblivious to the Halloweeners in their midst, just going about their day like it was business as usual.

Except that one.

Taima's steps slowed as she watched a figure all in black, its clothing baggy enough that she couldn't tell what gender it was. Its head ducked down around its shoulders, slinking away from anyone it might have come into contact with. Was it afraid of the other people? Was some creature, somewhere, feeding off of this human's apparent misery?

It was interesting to Taima. She stepped directly in its path, smiling as it frowned and shrunk away from her. It took a step back, and she took two forward, popping its personal bubble and throwing her arms around it. It struggled against her, flailing and moaning in an attempt to get out of her grasp, before stilling. Victory!

Her triumph was short-lived, though, as the human's thin shoulders shook before it counterattacked with its own hug, its grip surprisingly strong. "Thank you-hoo-hoo," it sobbed against her shoulder. "Nobody understands," it whined.

All at once, Taima was done with this human. "Okay, hug time is over now," she said, pushing at its shoulders.

"But--"

"Hug time is over now," she hissed.

The human nodded, rubbing its snotty nose against her shoulder in the process, its grip finally loosening. It looked even sadder than it had before as Taima shoved it away, her lip curling in disgust as she looked from her shoulder to the human. "Humans are gross," she muttered, stalking off in search of her next victim.

After her disastrous encounter with the snotty, shapeless human, Taima had decided that maybe she was going about this all wrong. Maybe stopping random humans and hoping for the best wasn't the answer. Maybe she should have some kind of criterion for human-hugging, some plan of attack. Maybe...

"Can I help you?" A girl called from the entrance of one of stores, jolting Taima from her thoughts. Taima looked up at her, her head tilted in query. "You look lost," the girl said. "Can I help you?"

Taima paused a moment before nodding decisively. "Yes, you can," she replied, immediately reaching out to wrap the girl in her arms, oblivious to her squeak of alarm.

"Um, okay," the girl said, patting Taima's back awkwardly until Taima let her go.

"Thank you," Taima said as she walked off, leaving the girl staring after her in bemusement. Three down. Maybe she was doing okay after all.

Taima hadn't been walking long when she started feeling like she was being watched. She slowed, looked over her shoulder, and then stopped and turned around when she saw who was following her. "What do you want?" Taima snapped at the snotty, black-clad human she had made the mistake of hugging before. It was back, and it had brought a pudgy, pale friend. They both shrunk away at her tone of voice, quietly conferring with each other before the small one pushed the big one forward.

"M-m-m-my friend says you h-h-hugged him," it stammered, wringing its hands. "H-he s-said it was," it trailed off, looking back at its friend for confidence or confirmation before facing Taima again, "magical," it finished on a loud whisper.

Taima rolled her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest. "So?"

"S-s-s-s-so I was w-wondering if y-y-you c-could, um, c-c-c-c-c--"

"Out with it, already!" Taima snapped.

"CouldhugmetooI'msosorrypleasedon'thurtme."

Taima sighed. "What time is it?"

"W-what?"

"I said, what time is it?"

"Oh, um," the fat, pasty thing checked its watch, its brow furrowed in confusion. "It's ten to one."

Crap, she was almost out of time. "All right," she consented reluctantly, "but if you get snot on me like your weepy little friend back there, I'm going to break both of your kneecaps. Understand?"

"Yes," the human squeaked out, opening its arms.

Taima took a step forward and wished she hadn't. She could smell the human from here, and it wasn't pleasant. Didn't they bathe? Was that not a human thing? Taima tentatively extended her arms, trying to figure out how to hug the human without actually touching it. She settled for patting it on the back with her hands, quickly pulling away before the human could embrace her. Whatever, it counted. She turned and walked away, wincing at the ear-piercing squeal of the fat human's excitement at having hugged a girl for the first time in its sad little life.

The things Taima did for success.

Taima was on her way back to the meeting point, looking for a human to hug. She only needed one more, and after hugging sweaty fat boy back there, anything else would be an improvement, right?

"Billy, stop pulling your sister's hair! Sarah, don't push your brother!"

Taima stopped dead as she heard the familiar sounds of a mother trying--and failing--to wrangle her kids into some semblance of obedience. She had nieces and nephews of her own and, though they misbehaved in entirely different ways, it seemed that Frustrated Parents were universally similar. So she did what she would have if she had seen her siblings tearing out their feathers in frustration at their fledgelings' antics. She made a beeline for the harried mother and hugged her.

"Um," the mother said, cutting off in mid-yell at the sudden embrace.

"It's okay," Taima said, "someday they'll grow up and you'll get to throw them all out of the nest, and if they fall, well, you did your best."

The mother chuckled, patting Taima on the back before stepping away. "Believe me, I'm counting every one of those days--Billy, get back here!" She yelled, running after her child.

Momentarily distracted by not only the bag she was given that held all their purchases (Wait! They weren't even going to wrap them in cute paper covered in bats or pumpkins or-or- stupid humans!), but even more so by all the... Coins and slips of paper, Belladonna only wandered after Mort with a frown splashed across Byron's face. One hand held the plastic bag that kept crinkling noisily every time she moved, while the other hand sat palm up, the slips of paper with the coins poised carefully on top, just as the cashier had given it to her.
"Is this sense? Because it makes none."
Besides the fact that that was a particularly bad joke, Belladonna simply didn't know what to do with the rest of the money. She couldn't be certain, but she knew that more money had been spent than she had originally calculated, but no matter how she did the math, she simply couldn't figure the numbers out.
And even if she kept what remained, it certainly wouldn't be enough for anything else. And most likely it'd crumble to dust when they returned.

Speaking of returning...
"Its been fun, but I'd like to go home now." She said with a small, contented sigh. This was finally one thing she could check off her To Do List. Visit the human world, at least once. Check!
No longer concerned with the Human Money, Belladonna dropped it down into the plastic bag and offered her large hand to Mort.
"Come along Mary. We've got to get home." She told him with a wink as the hand carrying the bag shifted so that the bag slid to her man elbow and that hand now hovered over the green pin.
It'd be so nice to be back in her own body once more!

"As am I," Malodore said, fervently. "As am I... shall we return? I am thoroughly finished with this. Though I wish I could take the body back, separate from my mind of course..." It poked again at its bruising forearm, wistfully.

Then it put one hand on the pin before glancing at Riley. "Shall we?"

Riley chuckled at the idea of bringing the body back, and waited for Malodore to finish filling out his form. She looked at hers, making faces at it for a moment, and losing concentration when her own lips needed to be poked some more.

She had agreed their form of kissing was better. But that.. other way. Well, it wasn't so bad, either. She still felt it, lingering on her lips.

Odd.

Riley felt the movement when her lips rose in one last, wide smile. "I will miss doing this." And that was all she'd miss. "I am ready. Let us depart."

"No clue," Mort said with a small frown at the sense, though it lightened at her little joke. "But alright. One quick sec." He took their bags and hefted them over to the nearest DETH attendant for their inspection, then returned to "Byron". Just before he took ahold of her hand, Mort took the liberty of grasping his small chest and giving it a squeeze.

"Had to do before left," he told Bells with an unabashed grin before using one hand to grab hers, the other to pull his pin off.

And back in a classroom he was, blue skin and everything. He combed several fingers through his facial hair and let out a small sigh of relief as he slumped into an empty desk. Oh look, more paper work too.

DETH SURVEY! EXPERIENCING HUMANS!

Name: Mortimer McNeal
Year: 3
Other than Fear, why are Humans important to us? Their imaginations create us, their technology inspires us, and their behaviors intrigue us: they are a laboratory's field day.
In the field trip, what have you noticed about Humans that is different from what you expected? They aren't all out for our blood. Most seemed to act like any of us would, even if their world is a lot less exciting in comparison.
Would I like to learn more about Humans in the future? Absolutely
Why do you think it is important to save a Human who is hurt? Currying favors. Courtesy could stop a would-be Hunter from being driven to destroy us if they see we are not mindless killers.
Name one positive Human experience you have had today: One group accepted me briefly in their ritual skellyphone video watching without questions and found my presence endearing somehow. Humans seem easily captivated by the whims of their young so long as they aren't acting out.

At Mort's squeeze (or well, lack of squeeze as there wasn't anything in which to grab) of Mary, Belladonna let out a stilted and surprised laugh.
In unison she took his hand and pulled her own pin off.
It took a few blinks before everything came together, before her eyes adjusted to the darker color scheme, but Belladonna let out a tiny squeal and jumped up and down.
"I'm short!" She called out gleefully, but her jump reminded her! "Yaaay!!!" Was her next happy shout as both her hand flew up to grab two overflowing handfuls of her own buxom bosom. "I never want to be a man again." She said as she squished herself happily before making sure her hair and shoes and dress and petticoats were all there and accounted for.

After being perfectly satisfied she was very much Belladonna again, she skipped over to Mort and hugged him at her proper height.
"It was fun carrying you, but I'd rather us be like this from now on."
But, first! School work!
Happily Belladonna took the desk next to Mort and extracted a pink pen from her skirt before she scribbled all over the paper with an irreverent, carefree manner.

Other than Fear, why are Humans important to us? Because without them, we wouldn't exist. And its always best to return to the source material, occasionally.
In the field trip, what have you noticed about Humans that is different from what you expected? They tend to be very angry... They should be scared, not... Mad.
Would I like to learn more about Humans in the future? Perhaps. I am certainly not opposed to the idea.
Why do you think it is important to save a Human who is hurt? Because then you can scare them and gain more FEAR in their moment of vulnerability!
Name one positive Human experience you have had today A group of males accepted me into their group once I showed favor toward their interests. They were nice. Loud, but nice.
