How many times have I told you to take me with you when you do stuff like that!" He frowned in frustration. "What kinda storm are you talking about anyway?" He asked.  [

Some men just want to see the world burn... "Oh great," replied Texas as he fell back onto the arm of the couch. "As if we didn't have enough problems with Scarlet and Atticus being captured." He thought about what Mirai had said about the raven. What could it read? He wasn't worried about it reading his past since it had already spilled his darkest secret. But what else did it know about them? Between it and Chilia, Texas already knew that Noira had some powerful beings at her disposal. He didn't like that one bit. "If Divine sent out a message to all the demons, it must be something pretty big..."[

Some men just want to see the world burn... Texas looked back up as he heard Mirai. "What!? That jerk! I mean...sorry. He shouldn't have done that," Texas added, not wanting to insult Divine in front of Mirai. He paused for a moment as he thought about what he wanted to say. "Well, I mean, at least you have parents," he said finally. "At least you know who they are and your mom cares about you a lot I know."[

Some men just want to see the world burn... "Wait, your mom is having another baby!?" Asked Texas in surprise. Today seemed to be full of surprises. "Well...uhh..." he didn't want to agree with Mirai that Divine was probably using it but he had to admit to himself that he probably was. He chose instead not to address that issue. "Don't worry," he told her, moving on to the subject of Charlotte. "Your mom is the strongest witch I know. She's even nice to me! Someone like that is really really hard to kill. And I'm sure tons of people have tried to kill her before so she knows what she's do- um...not anymore though I'm sure her life's not in danger on a regular basis....or often....or at all," he added, stumbling over his words as he tried not to add to her worry. "She'll be okay because she can beat up pretty much anybody. Except maybe Divine. -Er, I mean, she probably could! Yeah!" He stopped talking, looking away as he scratched the back of his head. [

Some men just want to see the world burn... Texas's face fell as he remembered the scars on Mirai's soul caused by the events surrounding her birth. He could see them every time he resonated with her. "Yeah, she'll have to be careful," he said before looking back up at Mirai. He still didn't know if the damage to her soul had had any negative affects on her soul. [
