SWEET VICTORY! YOU HAVE MY BOW! Picking up the next arrow he lined it up this time with the head of the mannequin. It was a risk considering the head was not nearly as large of a target as the chest was but it did allow for a more deadly attack. Letting the arrow it fly it hit the edge of the head before spinning off into the landscape. The mannequin began to move forward but then stopped and collapsed to the ground unmoving. He had managed to defeat it, though not as quickly or as successful as he had wanted to. Hugging the bow for a moment he turned around placing the bow back on the rack before leaving. YOU HAVE MY BOW!Mirac took a quick breath, then a slow, steady one, releasing the arrow as he finished exhaling. This time, the arrow was much closer to his mark, striking the mannequin with a solid thunk in the chest. The boil grinned as he brushed a lock of hair from his face, then pulled another arrow out. More dummies. At least he was using an actual weapon this time. He took a while deciding between a bow and a dagger, but after his earlier success with the dagger he had made, he felt that he'd just stick with that. He picked up his weapon and moved to where all the other short ranged students were.
His first attack on his dummy missed, as he wasn't used to holding rather than throwing his knives, and as he tried to dodge the dummy slammed into his shoulder, nearly sending him sprawling. This would be a lot easier with natural abilities.

YOU HAVE MY DAGGER! He struggled to regain his footing and kept his momentum going as he ran forward toward the dummy. He reached out with the dagger and caught his opponent on the arm, leaving a gash that would probably bleed pretty badly had it been a living thing. The mannequin's arm swept out and Rikki dropping into a crouch, letting out an excited cry as the blow went right over his head.

YOU HAVE MY DAGGER! Nyyrikki angled the dagger upward as he shot up from his crouch. He'd planned on stabbing the dummy in the chin or chest or something, but it didn't quite work out that way. Somehow, he'd managed to forget that the mannequin would need to swing it's arm back to get to it's starting point, so though he managed to nick the arm, it slammed into his chest and he did go sprawling this time, right on the floor. YOU HAVE MY DAGGER! It took Rikki and second to struggle to his feet, and by the time he did the dummy was already advancing to make another blow. It swung out and Rikki rolled to the side, grinning as he heard the arm whiz overheard. Once it was clear he jumped up and grabbed the arm so it couldn't swing back and cut a long deep gash along the back of the mannequin. Before it could spin around to counter, he jumped away on light feet.

YOU HAVE MY DAGGER! Rikki waited to long to make his next move. There was a bit of a stalemate as he and the dummy just stared at each other. When Rikki finally did lunge forward, the mannequin swung it's arm faster than he'd anticipated and he wasn't even able to land a hit as it sent him stumbling.

YOU HAVE MY DAGGER! It seemed like the mannequin was just moving faster the more damaged it was. Perhaps Rikki was just slower because he was tired, though. He was beginning to breath a bit heavier. He still managed to spin away from the dummy's hit, however, but he was unable to land a blow of his own. He spat at the ground as he jumped out of range again, looking for another opening to attack. YOU HAVE MY DAGGER! The opening that came was small, but Rikki took it. He ducked under the swing of an arm and angled his dagger upwards, slicing a small gash along the belly of the dummy. It wasn't deep, and really wasn't much damage at all, but at least it was a hit. He spun backwards to avoid another hit and stuck his tongue out at the mannequin. As if that was really going to insult the object.

YOU HAVE MY DAGGER! Rikki attempted his last move again, but he wasn't quite as successful. While it did manage to scratch the dummy again, it slapped him in the face, leaving a big red mark. He cried out and stumbled backwards, tearing up a bit at the sharp pain in his cheek. Jackdamn that hurt. Why wouldn't this thing just die already?
