Alex shrugged again. "Rebel phase or what have you. I was the girl that liked Dracula and punk clothing in school. Everyone gave me a label, so I just went with it. People I hung out with were more into horror, so....that's what I watched."

Alex shifted uneasily. "I......never finished. I dropped out during high school then left to do my own thing." Alex replied a little uneasily.

She tried to sit up when she heard Reaper's voice but couldn't even manage to get herself a foot up off the bed.
"Who let, blake in here-"
Her voice was a little stressed but still rather week. This irrated Kai, the fact that she couldn't fully argue with him in her weakend state. If she couldn't yell at him, how was he going to get that she really didn't like him being there? She thought. Kai turned in the bed onto her stomach and looked to Blake under her messed up hair.
"How bout I stay awake until my I get my full strength back and kick your a**... I don't like you, and you know it...yet you're in here... you're just lucky I haven't beat you yet."
Kai's face was a blush red and her eyes looked very tired, as she glared at him. She was breathing a little heavily since she had just moved a bit and was still exhausted. She hoped that this sudden burst of adrenaline from her anger would keep her up long enough to see that Blake leaves the room.

"I came in because there was a decent sized group that had come back. Beat up, exhausted, and left a mess of bloody tools and gauze. I wanted to see if there was anything I could do to help. Make sure everyone was alright." he replied. Then grinned a bit. "As for 'kicking my a**'....I imagine you'll get to do that a lot sooner if you actually get some rest. Probably be a little more efficient as well."

She glared at him with a still angry expression. Sure she couldn't really do anything about Blake now but the way he was acting almost felt as though he was mocking her current condition. The white area surrounding her eyes became dark and her glare a bit darker, as though her weekened state started showing her true self. Truly she didn't intend or notice that her eyes had began to change.
"Stop mocking me and just go... Or I'll have Dundee /make/ you leave."

Reaper couldn't help it now. He just couldn't. He'd been good for so, so long. He just had to.
He smiled. Wide and smugly for once. And his eyes, for the briefest moment, turned black and red. His coal black eyes became red, while the rest of his eye became black. "Mocking you?" he asked in a low purr. Then his eyes turned back to normal. "I was doing no such thing. I simply came in to see if I could help. And as for the liking it if you went to sleep....can't say that I'd care either way. You're not really my type." he said, his tone teasing.

Even more so now she didn't trust him. For all she knew she could have been one of her immortal enemies, that trick he played was uncalled for. "Is he...One of my kind, he might try and force my human soul to vanish like the rest. But that doesn't matter, so long as Dundee makes him leave... When I wake up I will exploit him for what he really is." Planning sleep? She trusted Dundee enough to protect her from this guy. And she really hoped he could. For now this argument seemed to just exist between her and Blake.

Dundee looked at Reaper for a minute, then back at Kai. "He actually helped me get you safe here. However . . . " Dundee looked back at Reaper. "She needs her rest, you should probably step outside for a bit. Not much we can do from here on out." he said with a shrug. Then he paused for a bit.
"He never did hate you . . . however, I can say this, rather hard to get a bullet to go around something, or someone." he said . . . "Kinda explains why I don't have one." he said.

Reaper chuckled a bit, then stood from his chair and headed towards the door. "Alright, alright....I'll leave." said as he made his way towards the door and paused there for a moment. "I suppose I'll just hang around elsewhere for a bit." he said, then glanced back at Kai with a small grin before moving down the hall. "Sweet dreams..."

"Whatever Blake..."
Kai stuck her tongue out at Blake and then stopped to look at Dundee.
"Thanks Dundee... But, I don't care if he helped me... did you ever see Superman care if Luthor helped him? Or Batman if Bane helped him. I'm not saying that Blake is a bad guy but if I put him on my list of trust he'd be somewhere below Jason Todd and Ra's Al Ghul."
Kai turned back over to the side facing the opposite wall again with some effort and heaved a sigh.

Dundee smiled back. "Don't worry on it, Kai." he said. Unlike Arell and C.J., he usually read more of the Superman comics . . . and went to see Batman movies at the Drive In when they were able to. So when Kai mentioned that Superman, the "boy scout" of superheroes probably not giving a damn when Lex Luthor lent him a hand, he was a little bewildered.
"Strange how sometimes yer best friends don't turn out to be the best people in the world." he said, referring to Lex and Clark's friendship in the past.

Meanwhile, C.J. and Sapph still hung around at the table. "That sandwich come out alright?" he asked Misty as smiled. He was starting to get hip to the idea on who she was . . . but then again, it was a little foggy still. Almost like trying to lip-read the Spanish channel on TV while having the sound muted. Then again, he wasn't about to run the risk of totally embarrassing himself if he guessed wrong on who it was.
