As the Lifestream surged across the world, the earths shook violently. The giant stream of the planet's energy surged across the globe with alarming speed, bits and pieces spreading off and away from the largest mass. At the end of its journey, the earth around the mass shook even more violently, as the power swirled together in an event that would astonish any who may have been fortunate enough to view it. At last, the mass separated, before slamming together, causing the apparent "fabric" of space to open a wide tear in the sky.
...In another land, another world so far removed from this, a teal-haired young man sat upon a throne much too grandiose for him, at least in his own eyes. "These are the people that Lyon wanted nothing more than to protect. I will not abandon them to their fate." He spoke with uncomfortable authority--a voice befitting a crown that he did not yet deserve. But one he must wear nonetheless.
"But, sire..."
"But nothing." He stood from the throne that once belonged to his father. "I am king now. My father may have chosen differently, but I am not him, and I would not pretend to be. I am Ephraim. I can only act the way I believe in."
It was a single, visceral moment--one that seemed almost disjointed from time itself. The life force of a world so far removed from his own reached across the infinite nexus of planets, and snatched the king from the place he was meant to be in.
Ephraim did not have the ability to take notice of this until after it had already been decided--this was not an instant that could be viewed. The only thing that the king registered was his sudden, drastic change in surroundings. From the familiar setting of Reanis' throne room to a wide open space, surrounded by grasslandsand forests. "...?!" When Ephraim processed this drastic change in scenery, he whirled around in shock. "...Eirika?!" He was here, in this unfamiliar place, alone.
The first of many who would inevitably be forced to call this world home. This surge in incredible power from the planet would not be satisfied to snatch a single hero from elsewhere, however, as Ephraim would come to realize when others began to appear around him from across multiple worlds. Some unconscious, some just as bewildered as him.
All so very out-of-place in this strange new world.

"....Whaat...? " Futaba had to blink several times, even lift up her glasses a bit to rub her eyes as if that would help clear her vision. What holographic projection was she stuck in? A moment ago, she was sitting down, playing a handheld game and on a major winning streak, when everything around her changed so drastically. ".............."
Her head felt a little strange, her mind clearly wasn't processing this situation well. But as seconds went by and she became more aware, she realized all at once, several terrifying things. One, she was alone with no one she knew around her. Two, Ren wasn't there, and Three...there was a well armored man with a rather scary, massive weapon standing there, and scattered about around him were other strangers that didn't seem to be moving at all, and others looking completely delirious. To her though, it looked like the teal-haired man struck down all of those people, and only few were left yet breathing.. ".......!! D-Did...you...kill them?!? " Poor Ephraim, so out of place just like her, the last thing he needed was to be accused as a murderer. She wanted to jump behind her dark-haired shield so badly right now.

It occurred to Ephraim moments after arriving in this world that, in his hand, he held the Sacred Twin lance of his kingdom, Siegmund. The immense power that the sacred weapon held almost emitted an aura, feeling like it pulsed through his body like waves of searing power. Just as he felt when he first raised this weapon from the reliquary that had held it for nearly a century, he questioned the morality of using such a weapon in combat. Yet, here, in this seemingly unknown land he had been brought to... he had a feeling he wouldn't have much room for choice. Reginleif was also on his person... whatever force brought him here knew to equip him accordingly, it seemed. The same would be true for anyone else here who had been brought here, even if their signature weapon wasn't with them at the time.
The shaky voice of a young girl caught his attention, bringing him to face the young orange-haired girl. "?" He turned around to look behind him--where he assumed her gaze was focused, only to realize there was no one there. ...Who was she talking to, then? ...Wait. He turned his head back towards her quickly. "...What?!' It took him a moment to even process the outrageous accusation. "Do these people look dead to you? And does my spear look bloodied? You shouldn't-" Ephraim let out a grunt as he was interrupted when a flying monster slammed into him, letting out a cackle afterwards. Ephraim, though surprised, only stumbled slightly, before turning his gaze sharply to his adversary and driving his sacred spear directly through the flying monster's torso. The monster wasn't quite prepared for both the king's strength, and the searing agony that Siegmund inflicted to monsters that were unfortunate enough to meet its pointy end, and it dropped onto the ground like a rock, completely killed in a single thrust. "...THAT one, I killed." He said, turning his attention back to Futaba. "But none of the others." That short encounter would only be a taste of things to come, however, as the ground began to rumble a bit. It wasn't from another surge of energy from the Lifestream, however, as turning their attention to the direction it originated from would show... a rather massive hoard of monsters in the distance, charging directly towards the group. They weren't all terribly weak, either--there were definitely some iron giants in the back. How did they even get here?
Ephraim let out a sigh as he saw this. Great. He glanced at Futaba. "I don't suppose you can fight with that tiny body of yours." Yeah, that would be a negative. Worth a try, she was about the same size as Eirika, anyway. "Great." Ephraim could potentially handle this, but he did not like the idea of being surrounded by such a large hoard. It would be a messy victory if he did win, and he would like to tip the scales towards his favor if possible. Ideally, he would like to retreat, but another glance cast around made that clearly not an option. There were too many unconscious people around and too few conscious who could possibly rescue them. He had no intention of just leaving them to die. The large hoard of monsters was still far away, though. He had time to calculate a plan. "Listen! Anyone who has any battle capabilities at all, tell them to me now! I can figure this out." He was a capable strategist. He believed in his ability to think on his feet, even with these unknown allies.

The second the beastly flying demon hit the ground, one of those previously unconscious strangers to this world came to very suddenly, so suddenly that her defensive instincts kicked in before she could realize what she was doing. The golden blue jeweled trident she possessed activated almost instantly as she shot up, sending a wave of intense energy in the shape of an ocean wave, to engulf a good area ahead of her. It went on for quite a ways, too...tearing up a good portion of land in its wake.
Luckily, no one was in that path! If only the hoard of monsters was in the path, sea-bowling would be an entertaining sight. "......" Azura's hand holding the trident fell downward, lowering the weapon the moment she realized her mistake. Having JUST came to, she was quick to study her surroundings, the confused, startled, terrified looks on some of these strangers told a whole story without her having to really question a thing. The giant rip in the sky also kind of helped explain everything. "....I can help..." She finally said, she didn't seem like a very social woman at all. It may not be obvious to anyone here, just how unsocial she really was. Her experience with humans was never very good. "...I can control water...and use my trident.." Well, THAT was obvious. She didn't feel she needed to explain what it did at this point. "....."

Ephraim, as well as probably others, jumped a bit as the sudden energy shot out in the form of a tidal wave spawning from the... ground. Interesting. That was certainly a sort of magic Ephraim was unfamiliar with. He assumed other continents would have standardized magic... was he even...?
He shook his head. That would have to wait, but judging from the difference in magic, as well as the variation in garb, he was starting to wonder. Regardless, he nodded at the girl. She was clearly not the most social... something they had in common. "...All right, then." He responded, about as awkwardly. He reached down, gripping her by the shoulder and lifting her onto her feet. Not the most gentlemanly way to help a lady up! But Ephraim was far from one of those. "That should help." He was a little thrown off when he felt himself suddenly shoved away, though. And not even by the blue-haired girl. The shove was surprisingly strong, too--it was difficult to remain on his feet, which was surprising for someone with his constitution.

"Do you mind?!" A young blonde girl with... pointed ears placed herself between Ephraim and Azura. "You really need to manhandle her like that? She's obviously uncomfortable. Don't you have any respect?!"
"..." Ephraim closed his eyes, trying to subdue the rather cross expression that wanted to form on his features. Seriously? "Now is hardly the time."
"Hmph!" Alisa crossed her arms, giving him an unimpressed look. As with any of the Serenitian royals, she was... aware of Azura's situation. Even though the two weren't exactly close, she couldn't help but feel a tad protective towards her after seeing this literal Neanderthal pull her around like she was some common soldier man.
"Do you want to battle right now, while a horde of monsters comes barreling towards us? Tell me what you can do, quickly."
Even though she wasn't exactly his biggest fan, she wasn't prepared to craft a strategy right now, so... She raised an arm, a shimmer of light around her hand materializing a forest green bow adorned with emeralds. "I'm a magic archer. I can manipulate arrows and magic with my bow. I'll just content myself with showing you up. For now. But mark my words, you can expect a thorough beati-"
"That's all I needed." Ephraim cut her off, taking a step away from the enchanting, albeit somewhat irritating, young ladies to consider his options. His eyes moved between the horde of monsters, to the cliffs surrounding them, and elsewhere. He was beginning to think of something... if the blonde girl had the abilities he assumed, maybe this could work. They still had some time, though, so he wanted to be certain...

One might say, that Alisa's intervention saved the disrespectful kings pride, regardless of the situation they were entering with a lovely hoard of monsters rushing toward them, Azura's sudden change in expression, from almost lifeless, to completely angered might be the tell sign that she didn't appreciate the way he handed helping her up, if that was even what that was supposed to be! How could any man be so stupid? Her piercing blue eyes narrowed dangerously onto his own for a rather long, uncomfortable moment. "...If that was your attempt to help a lady to her feet...it was terrible, embarrassingly so..." Poor Ephraim, he may never help another woman to her feet again! She certainly had a little attitude when she got annoyed.
Turning to Alisa, despite the entire awkward, dangerous situation they were all facing, she quickly pulled the forest princess into a brief hug, before letting go again. "...Thank you...For a moment there, I was worried I was alone and cursed to be stuck with this idiotic human..." Ah, Azura would have such a great friendship with Ephraim, no doubt.
"..." A certain red-haired fire-bird princess stood behind the two girls, her arms crossed and looking rather irritated, there was a lot of not-happy girls around, wasn't there? "What is there to think about? It takes to long. I'LL LIGHT THEM UP! " The evil little smirk at the teenager's features could be a thing to be feared, or a huge bluff. Though, it might not seem so when that red-haired teen turned suddenly into that of a rather large Phoenix in a burst of flames. "Let's see who can kill them all faster...!" She seemed to be looking directly at Ephraim, as if challenging him to 'compete' on who could get the most kills.

"..." Ephraim was known for being a brave and powerful king, one who even felled the ancient evil--the Demon King--in his own world. Needless to say, he didn't frighten easily. And yet when this socially awkward, beautiful young girl glared at him the way she did, with those piercing blue eyes.... he felt his heart begin to race. But why? He had no reason to feel afraid... At her words, he opened his mouth to provide some kind of retort, but as he continued to stare at that look she gave him, he felt his throat growing rather dry. "...Err..." His own social awkwardness paired with this feeling she inflicted upon him was turning this into a very losing exchange for him. ...But regardless, he needed to focus on the situation at hand... right. So, he turned away quickly, going back to focusing on the incoming monsters. And definitely not for any other reason that had to do with the blue-haired girl. No, not at all...
Alisa gladly returned the brief hug to the lonely sea princess. "No thanks necessary! If anything, I should apologize that I can't teach him more of a lesson. Soon, though... but anyway, we should really hang out after this, if you don't mind. We haven't gotten to talk as much as I'd like!" Alisa was quite the opposite of Azura, in that she was very sociable. Which explains how she managed to befriend Unisha and Phoenix despite her mother wanting the Forest Kingdom to be isolationist. Speaking of Phoenix, seeing that she was also here, Alisa had to stop herself from throwing a hug around the young princess, who would probably become very annoyed if she did that. ...That wouldn't stop her later, though, but for now she supposed she should take this monster thing somewhat seriously...
"...Hold on!" Ephraim shouted as the other conscious girl just... turned into a large bird. Was this something like Myrrh's power? ...Regardless... "As fun as that sounds, underestimating our enemy may end up destroying us, and then those here who are unconscious have no one to defend them. If we work togehter- gah!" He felt a shock at the side of his head, whirling his attention to see the blonde girl looking all innocuous. "Seriously?"
"Whoops~" Alisa winked. "You're welcome. I transmitted information to that small brain of yours that'll help you, O great and wise tactician." It was funny they taunted him, considering he was most likely the smartest person here. At least when it came to military tactics. "I didn't have to make it hurt, but it seemed funnier."
"Ugh." Why did he have to be stuck with them? Still, what Alisa said was true--and he just realized that was her name. "...Your name is Phoenix?" He asked to the... phoenix. "A little on the nose..." He muttered, shaking his head. "I have a plan. The three of you have powerful magic, which you can use in tandem to deal with the bulk of the enemies. The larger ones, though--they're resistant to magic. That's where I come in. Alisa, fire arrows around the horde and use them to create a containment field. Then, create a torrent of wind with your arrow to entrap all the small and medium monsters. After that, Phoenix, do what you do best--go in and torch them all. Your fire should combine with Alisa's wind and turn the entire area into a blaze. Be careful, though, Phoenix. Don't engage the giant ones directly. After you incinerate a good deal of them, return back here. I need you and Azura at the rearguard to protect the ones here who are unconscious. We don't want to let the fire get out of hand, though. After Phoenix retreats, Azura, I need you to create a vortex of water in the area, and detonate the area with water. This will quell the flames before they spread, and it should dispatch any remaining small monsters who are resistant to fire. Finally, Alisa, after Azura finishes, I need you to send me directly onto one of the giants. I can destroy them with my spear, but afterward, I need you to continue to manipulate their gravity to ensure they fall towards the other giants, that way I can get from one onto another smoothly enough. If all goes well, this should be a smooth operation, and no one risks injury." Despite how irritating these girls were, their powers were quite extraordinary. So Ephraim was rather fortunate to have them here with him.
"..." Alisa blinked. That was... a rather well-thought out plan, and quite a good one, too. He certainly had some talent for quick thinking. "...Hmm, I guess that'll be fine..." Obviously she didn't need to have him realize she was impressed, though. A little too easy, if anything." She took a few steps forward, raising her bow and nocking two arrows, letting them both loose forwards. The arrows whizzed through the air, before lodging themselves into two parallel, widely spaced out rocks. Nocking two more arrows, she pointed them directly into the sky, letting them both loose. Both of the arrows vanished moments after leaving the bow, reappearing further out instantly, faced downward, and stabbing directly into the ground, parallel to each other and to the two she had already fired. "It's okay to be impressed," she said with a grin, raising an arm, and as the horde of monsters crossed the threshold, coming to be in the middle of the large area in the middle of the four arrows, she snapped. Instantly, four barely visible walls raised parallel to the placement of the arrows, and a field of paralytic electricity jolted to life, freezing all the smaller and weaker monsters in place. "This battle is mine!" She drew another arrow, nocking it and aiming directly towards the horde of monsters. While in the string, the arrow changed shape, growing larger and beginning to radiate neon green energy, and in the same moment, wind currents picked up around Alisa drastically. "Or, ours, I suppose." She let loose the arrow, which traveled directly through the one-way wall that kept the monsters entrapped. Any monster the large, pulsating green arrow came in contact with was bowled over and didn't stop the arrow's forward momentum at all. Once the arrow made it to dead center of the field created by the prior four arrows, it exploded brilliantly, erupting with wind currents that began to fly erratically through the containment field, picking up and throwing and picking up again every single small/medium monster trapped inside, looking comparable to a bunch of paper caught between a thousand high-powered fans on every side. Around and around and around they spun and were thrown without a moment of respite. It was pretty hilarious to watch, honestly.
"You're up!" She turned toward Phoenix, nocking another arrow and firing it directly at her. The arrow exploded into a mass of orange/red particles before reaching the bird, all of which were absorbed into the young princess. As a result, she would feel her power of fire amplify even higher than it typically was, empowering her ability of flames to greater degree. "Yeah, I can buff, too. I can pretty much do it all!" The snide, cocky tone in her voice made Ephraim sigh and roll his eyes, which earned him a glare from the young pointy-eared princess.

"Well done," Ephraim conceded to Alisa, though it didn't seem to satisfy her too much considering the glare he continued to receive. "Phoenix, your turn! Azura, make sure you're ready when Phoenix finishes. If we can't contain the fire, we'll have yet another issue on our hands." Phoenix would notice when her flames touched Alisa's vortex that, as Ephraim had said, the vortex would change color to match the orange/red of her fire, and would absorb and adapt into the element, turning the vortex into a vortex of flame that continued to pull the monsters in the same way while also searing them with flames. It would be about the closest thing to hell that the monsters could feel.

If Phoenix was in human form, Ephraim would have definitely have gotten a oh-so-scary glare from the teenager. Instead, he would hear the heavy, annoyed sigh in his mind, along with her voice a seconds after. "I do better alone..ugh.." If it wasn't for him throwing in the facts of the unconscious people all around them, she might of completely ignored his warning, but because of that, and Phoenix not being completely as stupid as she may of seemed, she remained where she was until she was needed..
Alisa's taunts on the poor king did get a snicker from the fiery bird. It was strange they didn't hang out more, she was pretty amusing, much more daring and that spark of mischievous behavior was something Phoenix could relate too, unlike Unisha who was the proper older sister, and closer friend to Alisa. Together, Phoenix and Alisa could certainly take down the world if they wanted to! Yeah, they would be quite a terrifying team. "That's great stuff, Alisa..! " Phoenix could barely contain the laughter anymore, watching the monsters thrown and spun around endlessly was the most halarious scene she might ever of seen. "Alisa Tornado of Doom, swish swish..!! Stupid monsters! I hope you get the biggest headaches of your lives, before I get to turn you all to a crisp! " She said, the amusement in her voice clear, glancing back toward Ephriam for a moment. "I bet you don't have anyone where your from as cool as our Alisa.." Even if he claimed they did, she wouldn't believe it for a second!
"Heh, get ready to burn..!!" And the anxious fiery bird took off, a trail of fiery embers floating into the air before they would fizzle out. Alisa's helpful buff didn't just help her fire be amplified by much more, it also helped boost her already overly confidant mind. This may be a bad thing, or a good thing depending on her enemies! Flying high above the vortex doomed enemies, the Phoenix's wings suddenly became like waves of fire, each flap of her wings sent masses of fire down into the vortex. The searing heat should have definitely brought the smaller monsters to their end without to much of a problem, but the giant ones still remained. The hesitation as Phoenix hovered in the area for a moment longer, showed just how much she wanted to dive bomb the giants! ...But she didn't, it took a great deal to obey those irritating orders as Phoenix hurried back.
The second Phoenix landed back safe with them, Azura stepped forward, raising the trident slightly as it began to gather a blue energy that resembled water. With one massive pulse, that energy flew out in the form of a massive wave, growing even taller then the entire vortex itself, only to come down in a crushing fall over the entire fiery-touched area, some of the iron giants may even have a nice fall, or become destroyed if it struck them harsh enough, but that was only lucky if it did. They were very tough creatures and not often easily defeated by magic.
"..May I have a little fun too? " Came the other princess's voice, the pink-haired woman stepped along side Alisa, giving her a smile as to show she was alright. She was only previously one of the unconscious ones until the sound of battle stirred her awake. "I'll tie them up for you...um, I mean..I'll try! ...Those things look so strong!" Maybe a little to strong for her vines to hold, but she could give it a go. If it might help Ephraim to not get swatted off when it came to his move, it would be worth the effort.
The massive iron giants would very suddenly become entangled into the thick vines Unisha sent after them, each wrapping around the legs and arms, some the entire bodies, a few were even bound together! Though, how long and how strong they were compared to the iron giants own strength would remain a mystery until one of them obviously fell!

Alisa

User Image

The sentiment Phoenix had towards Alisa was one largely mutual. Perhaps Alisa and Unisha were closer due to being the oldest siblings of their respective kingdoms and being closer in age, but it was certainly true that Alisa shared more in common with the fiery princess. The two of them spending more time together would be something Alisa would love, and would certainly make for quite the interesting scenes indeed. As Phoenix expressed her amusement and complimented her, Alisa put her hands on her hips, closing her eyes and gave a confident, satisfied smirk. Finally, the genuine praise she was waiting for! Because she DEFINITELY needed to hear it, and all.
"I definitely don't have anyone quite as irritating as her." Ephraim responded flatly in response to Phoenix, which broke Alisa's expression and turned it back to one of irritation again.
"Remember you said that, Ephraim." She said through gritted teeth, apparently having taken information about his identity as well when she gave him information on theirs. She would make him regret that, and what he did to Azura! At least there was another sight for sore eyes, though, as Unisha came to join them. It was nice that the Serenitian princesses continued to outnumber this rude king! ...Not that any of them were aware he was a king, besides her. "Uni!" Alisa didn't hold herself back from throwing a hug around her dear friend this time. Probably not great to do since she just regained consciousness, but oh well. Alisa kinda just did things her own way.
"I appreciate the help," Ephraim said to Unisha with a nod.
"Don't act all polite now! He's been insulting me this whole time, Unisha! And he did such unspeakable things to Azura, trying to manhandle her and take advantage of her when she was still weak having only just woken up..."
"...Wh-what?!" Ephraim couldn't help the slight blush that came over his features. What on earth was this girl saying? "I'll thank you not to spread slanderous misinformation..."
"Oh, look at that blushing. He's thinking about Azura that way now, I bet... pervert."
"...This is ridiculous!" Ephraim let out a frustrated grunt, turning away from Alisa and focusing his attention back to the task at hand. What an irritating girl!
"Hmph." Alisa seemed to have quite the way with flustering and irritating Ephraim. Though it seemed at least the first part of that wasn't terribly difficult to do.
"Well done, Phoenix, Azura," Ephraim said, still a bit flustered from that whole conversation, but attempting to regain his composure. He was thankful Phoenix didn't fly off the handle and keep assaulting the giants, as he partly expected her to do so. She seemed a bit difficult to control.
"Don't strain yourself, Uni." Alisa said before taking a few steps forward, coming to stand alongside Ephraim again. She drew an arrow, throwing it down to stab into the ground beneath Ephraim. Drawing another arrow, she nocked it, raising it and aiming carefully above one of the three iron giants. "...Be ready. This will be a strange experience for you."
"I can handle it."
The arrow was aimed above the giant that was most restrained by Unisha's vines, the others were struggling and some were managing to free themselves to some extent. Letting the arrow fly, she watched closely, waiting until just the right moment... "There!" A flick of her wrist, and both the arrow she just shot and the arrow beneath Ephraim exploded. Not enough to endanger Ephraim or anyone nearby, but a moment after the small explosion, the air around them distorted, and space turned inward. And a moment later, the color in that space inverted, and the mouth of a portal opened in both areas, the one below Ephraim opening enough to swallow him, and in the next moment, he would fall through the opening of the other portal. "Too easy!" Alisa grinned, apparently satisfied by her own work. Drawing another arrow, she stabbed it down into the ground beneath herself, and then she drew another, nocking it and preparing...
The feeling of standing one moment, then having the ground fall out from beneath you, and feeling the wind rush past, was certainly something Ephraim was not used to. Alisa was correct about that. But he could manage, turning his body as he dropped through the air, falling directly towards the bound giant. It had only the moment to realize what was coming, turning its head up, before Siegmund's blade plunged directly through its skull. This was a very tough creature, but Siegmund was not a spear to be taken lightly, much like its wielder. It specialized at killing monsters, so even particularly tough armor or hide could be pierced with relative ease by its monster-killing blade. Though it was overwhelmingly powerful regardless who its target was.
The monster's corpse began to fall backwards, away from its giant brethren...

"!" Letting the arrow fly, it screamed across the sky, going far faster than it would have had she not been manipulating it with magic. Right as the arrow lodged itself into the giant's midsection, it imploded. "This way..." And Alisa manipulated the energy from that implosion to force gravity around the giant to shift, forcing it instead to fall forwards, towards the other giants.
"Perfect!" The slight dip in actual gravity allowed Ephraim to leap from one to another much more safely, and though the giant wanted to intercept him with its giant blade, the other giant's corpse slamming into it caused it to stagger, and Ephraim landed safely on its shoulder. And naturally, he wasted no time plunging the sacred spear directly into its throat, bringing its life to just as swift of an end as its companion.
Nocking another arrow, Alisa shot it towards the ground, well below and before her mark, then she nocked yet another, firing it directly into the giant once again. Snapping her fingers, the arrow above her mark and beneath her both exploded, beginning to morph into portals once again. And then the arrow that lodged into the giant's corpse imploded, and shifted gravity yet again... away from the other giant.
"...?!" Well, that wasn't part of the plan. Had it been too much for Alisa? Maybe he shouldn't have tasked her with so much. Regardless, there was only the one giant left, it could be managed once he dismounted this one. It wouldn't be very graceful, though, as it came crashing onto the ground and he leaped moments before impact, his legs hitting the ground and him doing a roll to try to kill his own momentum. There was a lot, though, so he ended up doing a few more rolls and grunting a bit until he finally came to a stop. He didn't have much time to try to recover from that, though, he was aware, so he quickly began to get back on his feet...
...unaware that he had landed right in front of the portal that had been made by her previous arrow. As usual, Alisa's eye was alarmingly sharp, and she had calculated exactly where he would land. And after the portal beneath her swallowed her, she flew upwards out of the portal behind Ephraim, planting a foot on the top of his skull, and using that to boost her straight up into the air. Doing this caused Ephraim, in his somewhat staggered state from that fall, to be forced straight down onto the ground, faceplanting into the dirt. "Heh...!" Oh, it was so satisfying when a plan came together so flawlessly! Turning in the air, she fired two nocked arrows directly down, lodging them both into the dirt on either side of Ephraim, before turning her body again in the air. A magic sigil appeared beneath her feet on the air, and she used that to propel herself upwards even further, nocking another arrow. Now just above the iron giant's eyeline, she drew her bowstring back, and magical energy gathered greatly around her, both morphing the nocked arrow and suspending her in the air while the magic energy gathered. The giant, having finally freed an arm from the vines that imprisoned it, raised its large blade back, looking as though it were about to swing at her like swatting a fly out of the sky. "Go!" But it wouldn't get the chance, as the large, magical arrow fired at a speed approaching that of light, driving straight through the giant's skull and leaving a massive hole right in the middle.
And so, the final giant fell.
Alisa twirled her bow a bit, dropping out of the sky with a few VERY necessary backflips, catching herself on magical sigils three times as she fell to kill her momentum and keep from breaking anything upon landing.
A graceful landing, followed by a turn, and the toss of her hair, brought the entire melodramatic, tryhard scene to an end. She landed right in front of the prone Ephraim, who was down on his hands and knees. Placing a hand on her hip, she smirked. "This look suits you." She said, the overly smug tone of voice ringing a bit too loudly in Ephraim's ears. The two arrows on either side of him emitted the same paralytic electricity current between them, forcing him to stay in this position. It wouldn't hurt him, but it would keep him exactly where she wanted him. Raising a foot, she placed it beneath his chin, forcing him to look up at her very smug face. "That's better." She winked. "Now! I expect you to apologize to Azura. And me! And... what else? You can start by admitting what I did was way cooler than what you did, and that I'm much better than you!" That very cute face of hers was very good at hiding how malicious and mischievous this princess could be. Had the other girls come to join them, she would give them a little wave, giggling a bit. "This guy's a king, you know... isn't it funny to see a king at the mercy of some sweet, cute, innocent princesses like us?"

"This is ridiculous..."
"That didn't sound like "I'm sorry" to me!"
"I'm sorry I have to deal with a group as irritating as you."
"Oh, you said the "irritating" word again! You'll regret that!" This scene was quite comical... it was nice to have some levity after they had managed to stop those monsters, and it seemed like the coast was clear for now. Serenitians could sense danger, and there wasn't any incoming anymore.

It was almost to bad Unisha only just came to moments ago, it would have made watching the bickering between the princess's and the man she didn't know all that much more amusing. Before she could get another word out however, her dearest friend managed to catch her by surprise with a big hug. It was so like her, despite the situation around them her positive, friendly nature never came to an end.Of course she returned the hug! Unisha wasn't one to deny a friendly hug from Alisa, if anything she normally expected one, she was just surprised due to her distraction with all the puzzling stuff going on around them!
"Hmm.." She smiled, looking from Alisa, then on to Ephraim. "This is probably not the time, but...I can't help but notice how cute you two look! You're teasing one another is the cutest thing! I think you both will be best of friends.." Of course Unisha would say something like that, she didn't see the man Alisa was describing, he didn't seem like a terrible guy at all, and the blush of his cheeks just told the story on it's own. If he was guilty of those things, he probably wouldn't be so blushy. Also the other factor was, Azura didn't kill him, or look all to angry. If he really tried to man handle her, he probably wouldn't be standing right now. So, she surmised that they were just constantly trying to pick on each other, for whatever reason!
So, eventually, as the silliness was put on hold and their attention returned to the real importance of the situation here, with everyone coming together, the threat of monsters was quickly put to rest.
Both Ephraim and Alisa were obviously the most victorious, doing the real dirty work by getting dangerously close to the threatening monsters. But not before Alisa face-planted poor Ephraim into the ground!
A highly amused Phoenix, now in human form, took a step towards Alisa and her new subject, the lowly king as he was forced to look up at the pointy-eared princess. "It looks like you've caught a dog in training.." She said with a twisted grin. "A royal dog, at that.." Ouch. Maybe she didn't really believe he was a king, how could a princess talk of a king in such a way? Phoenix was hardly very princessy, that was for sure! "...Ummmm...." The nervous voice came from behind the girls, she didn't seem to want to be doing this, bringing attention to herself like this really only made her all that much more nervous, and she had nothing to hide her face with this time! Just her...and all these strangers...What a uncomfortable feeling..
Twiddling her thumbs, Futaba's eyes cast downward so as to not look at them, was she sweating? It sure felt like it. The cool air didn't feel so cool, ether. "...M-Maybe you shouldn't be so....mean...to him? ...He did a lot, didn't he? ...I don't think we would be standing here....now, if it wasn't for his plan...so...you should be a little more nicer..!! " ...She did it! .....and now she had to go hide, behind that nice boulder there close by. Lucky she had that, at least. She would miss the odd look she got from Phoenix, fortunately enough!

Alisa

"...?!" For some reason, Unisha's words seemed to catch the forest princess by complete surprise, and stirred very clear color to the young woman's cheeks. "...Wh-what!" She finally managed, sounding as though she had heard the most outrageous thing of her life. "Me and him...?! That's- ridiculous! There's nothing cute about it, he's just annoying!" With how red her face was, and how she was flailing her arms around as she spoke as though she were in a panic, it was like Unisha had said she should marry him or something. All she said was they would be good friends! Pretty strange reaction... though, obviously, not something Ephraim took any note of. Of course. Of course!
After the battle came to a very unnecessarily stylish finish at Alisa's hands, definitely not showing off at all, she received Phoenix with a grin. "Heh!" Her face... reddened a bit, but the grin didn't waver at all. "Not like he doesn't... enjoy this! Don't you! I bet you like being called a dog!! Heh...! Heh!" ...Her voice was getting louder and shakier with every word she said. ...Which was something she noticed quickly, and it caused her grin to vanish swiftly. She sounded way too excited about this whole thing... "...Wh-which would make you weird! I knew you were a pervert!" ...Uh huh. He was clearly the pervert here. Phoenix wasn't the only princess here who wasn't very "princessy," it seemed...
When Futaba came around to express her disapproval for the treatment of the king, which was completely understandable, Alisa felt her embarrassment rise. "What!" ...But after a moment, she deflated. There wasn't much saving face, here. "Fine..."

"Oh no, don't put yourself out on my account. I simply love addressing you from this degrading position." Ephraim said sarcastically. "Oh, yes, and being called a dog. Do that again." Now he was just clearly making fun of her little outburst.
"...!" Alisa's face reddened further, and her expression turned to one of frustration. Was he really teasing her right now?! "You know what?! Fine! You stay there! My legs are hurting, anyway!" She took a few steps towards him...
"What?! Just releas- gh...!"
Alisa plopped herself right down on the king's back, eliciting that grunt, and crossed her arms, followed by crossing one leg over the other. "So! Girls! Let's talk! Ignore my very irritating chair! Where do you think we are?! That's an important thing to discuss!"
"Get off of me!"
"CHAIRS! DON'T! TALK! SO? ANY THEORIES?"
"This is-"
"SHUT."
"..."
"...."
"...ridiculous."
"UP!!!" Any tension that had been in the air from the potential threat of those monsters had been completely, utterly destroyed.

Azura leaned down a little, her hands against her knees as she looked into Ephraim's eyes. He would hear something in his mind, a very faint, gentle voice that began to sing. The expression on her face was about as innocent as ever, but, it was clear as she looked into his eyes, she was doing something to him, that voice was laced was an unusual ability that allowed Azura to briefly have a small bit of control over her victim. He wouldn't be able to move for a brief moment, as he would feel like he needed to remain as Alisa's 'chair'! If he was strong enough, he might be able to get out of her spell, it really was only on a playful matter, after all, she was hardly going all out on the use of this magic.
Standing tall once more, Azura returned her attention to Alisa, as though nothing had happened at all. Completely innocent Sea Princess, she was! "Nothing about where we are feels like home. What ever that is, is the reason for us all being here, I'm certain of that much...The energy it's releasing is like nothing I've felt before.." Worse was, she didn't think there was a way they could possibly cross over, the risk could be much more deadly then staying here. Who knew what could happen if they tried.

"We face the king of demons, the monster that once ruled all Magvel.
He's more powerful than any one of us here. But we have something that beast will never have.
We have community, friendship, love... We have all the virtues of humanity.
That is our weapon. That is our strength.
Is everyone ready? We're going to win."

Ephraim's eyes met Azura's, as she began to just... stare into his eyes. ...It caused him to grow slightly nervous, due to his social awkwardness. What was this girl doing...? As he noticed the singing in the back of his mind, though, and his consciousness recognized that his body was being seized, his reaction was... probably not what she expected. It was for a moment--his eyes became half-lidded, and his body became completely still, likely bringing a satisfied expression to both Azura and Alisa...
"...Heh! Good boy! That's how a chair should-!"
But it was that moment that he realized his body was attempting to be seized that he reacted to it. His eyes shot open, and his gloved hands tightened to fists in the dirt. "Rrgh..." He shook his head violently. His feeling of helplessness brought about by Alisa's trap and sitting on him was compounded by the feeling forced on him by Azura trying to seize control of his body, and his defiant consciousness decided enough was enough. Obviously, Azura was only being playful and didn't intend for this to happen, but Ephraim was strong-willed by nature, so her attempt to seize control of his consciousness wasn't going to go how she thought. He began to thrash around in his paralytic prison, earning a rather alarmed expression from the pointy-eared princess sitting on his back.
"Wha?!" She uncrossed her legs to stand, but was thrown off before she could when Ephraim actually forced himself up. "Eep!!" She let out as she landed in the dirt. Her eyes were still wide with surprise. THAT had never happened before.
"...!" As he forced himself up, Ephraim grabbed and snapped the arrows that had previously had him forced in that position, before forcing himself to his feet and picking up his sacred spear. "..." It was only then that he began to calm down, and caught the looks he was probably getting. "..." He looked at Azura. "Do not try that again." He warned. Considering she was only doing it playfully, who knew how he might react if she tried using her full power? It might not end pretty. "My mind is my own." He hadn't exactly dealt with something trying to possess him before, but right as it was happening, he was aware of what it was and what it was trying. Had he been more weak-minded, he wouldn't have been able to recognize what was happening, and would've been lulled into her trance.
"Ugh..." Alisa stood up, trying to dust off the dirt that now clung to her skin. Maybe she should look into wearing more clothing? ...Nah, probably not... "No respect! You didn't have to go that far. I was about to get off anyway..."
"...And yet it was justified that you went as far as you did in the first place?"
"Yes? Obviously! Don't forget how rude you were to me and Azura! Sheesh. Some king, treating princesses like this... I won't forget it!"
Ephraim rolled his eyes. "I would be surprised if you did." He muttered, turning away.
...And as he did, he saw... something... in the sky. "What is that?" It looked like... some flying boat of some sort. Here he thought he had seen everything the world had to offer... and now that he saw this, he had a feeling his earlier belief may have been correct. Perhaps he wasn't even in his world at all anymore. An outlandish thought, yet what else could explain all these odd occurrences? The airship came closer, and began to lower towards the group...

Azura tilted her head a little, her innocent smile laced with trouble as she looked at him. "What ever are you talking about? " Her act could only go on for so long, unfortunately! Her closer friends knew what she could do, so it wasn't so easy to just pretend she was completely innocent. "Oh, fine then. Though you did deserve it. You were quite rude. You are fortunate to have such a strong mind, though this was hardly anything, should I use my full power, you would not escape so easily.." She was confidant about that, too. She had yet to meet a man who could resist her power when it was used at full potential. She of course, only used these powers when necessary, this moment however was a small exception to her own rules.
Her attention, as well as the other girls, was drawn to the strange flying object in the sky. This was...new to her eyes. What on earth was it even? Should she prepare herself for battle, or remain calm and see what happened? Tough choices, considering bad things tended to happen when people just stood around when an enemy was around. "...I can only hope that isn't our enemy.."
"..I feel like i'm trapped inside a video game.." Futaba muttered quietly to herself. "...You really don't know what that is....? " She asked the puzzled group. "..It's a airship..and most likely, there are people inside. We could be meeting new enemies, or making new allies...I think it's best no one attacks until were sure...otherwise, we blow making new allies in a bizarre world away! " Most importantly, they would have the ability to get off these unknown grounds, before another hoard of monsters showed up. She didn't want to see another batch of those things rushing for them!
