Aihi caught the headband and tied it firmly around her forehead. "So I have to spar with this... Hayate guy? hmm I hope he doesnt hold back because im a girl" she sat awaiting her partner patiently.

Hayate Nadare" Hayate Of The Paper Planes" [Summoning Specialist] [Origami No Dara] [Genin] [Iwagakure]
 Hayate rose from under the tree as his name was called, he stared in a haze of confusion 'Spar..' he thought to himself. Hayate walked over to both Kai and Aihi, analyzing Aihi from head to toe before looking over to Kai "I don't want to fight her.. find someone else to" he spoke slowly and dumbfounded like usual, he pulled a piece of paper out from his pocket and folded it into a butterfly, seemingly ignoring the people around him. By the way Hayate reacted Aihi would more then likely think it was because of her gender that he refused to fight her.

Hayate gritted his teeth "I don't want too.." he repeated a little more demanding this time, he continued on to explain his reasoning "I don't want to fight a fellow Iwagakure ninja even if it is only a spar.." although his answer seemed realistic, the actual reasoning behind Hayate not fighting was none other than him being a spineless coward. Hayate had never liked the idea of pain, blood, or anything of the sort, even inflicting pain on others was hard for him to do without feeling horrible afterwords.

Hayate was persistent on this subject, he simply shook his head and objected again "I don't think its necessary" he went on, squirming around and fidgeting a little, he had a feeling he would lose this argument, and he would have to actually fight somebody "I-I" he stopped himself from continuing, and just stood there frightened still, although it didn't show much.

Hayate shook his head, pulling the fur hood further over his head and covering some of his face as if hiding himself from Kai "Nothings wrong.." he spoke slowly "I just don't want to really.." he tried to think of a good excuse but nothing came to mind, he could feel himself slipping, knowing the argument would end in him sparring with one of the two, which he really didn't want.

Hayate's face looked as if he was just stricken with a blade through the heart 'Disappointing..' it was a word he heard and was referred to as a lot 'A disappointing ninja..' he quoted an earlier statement of his parents. Hayate's lifeless eyes curled up to Kai's and he spoke again, this time his voice sounded saddened "Please don't be disappointed in my Kai-san.. I'll spar.." his heart seemed to be hurting him after the words sank in, he should have just gave in at the beginning and saved himself the hurtful lecturing.
