Nodding slightly, he managed to straighten himself, and limpingly walk. "That would be nice M'lady Fae. Errrrm. I don't supose there is someplace around here i could find some new pants?" He blushed a little again, limpingly walking in the direction she led him, his left arm straight at his side, stiff and not moving. "I thank you greatly for your assistance again. I fear I am a stranger with nothing to offer you in return, other than some assistance doing chores and such." He gave a little smile, though it was slghtly pained

Fae grinned and looked at him. "The only thing I have to offer is some shorts and soft pants. But it's better than that dipar of a thing you're waring?" She mused, then continued to lead the way, Pueblo jogging in front of her through the slippery sand.

Before long, they were standing at the front of her steps. She thought for a moment as Pueblo ran up the steps as just a little shadow, and hopped into the hammock. "Don't worry about that now," she smiled at him. Orian Ironfist was friendly and it made Fae feel more secure. Afterall, she was about to invite him into her home openingly. "I'll get the water and towels. I apologize for the lack of privacy, but there's a little secluded spot behind my house near a thicket of trees. I'll situate the wash-up station back there.." She offered to lead the way again.

Rounding behind her house, she pulled forth a wooden tub of water sloshing around. Whether it be rainwater or not, the fact that it wasn't salt water was all that mattered. Even so, they were away from the city...farrr away, and the rain water would be more pure here. She wasn't sure if he wanted to ware baggy women's clothing, so she would wait for an answer before moving.

"Any sort of pants would be nice, long as it doesn't look too errrr, femanine." He smiles a little, and follows her to the wash up station, kneeling by the tub, the first thing he does is plunge his head in face first to drink loudly. Ahhhhhh! Fresh Water! How he had missed it. Pulling up for air, he reached over to his left shoulder, messing with something there, a hissing sound coming from the shoulder as he winced, grabbing the arm and pulling it out of the shoulder gently, laying it to one side to look at later.

Plunging his head back into the water, he got as much of the salt encrustations out of his shoulder length hair as he could, and pulled up his head again, fingering his beard. "I don't suppose you have a dagger or a razor blade i could use to shave do you?"

Fae watched him with almost interest. He seemed so hungry for the thirst of fresh water that glowed under the silver moon light. Fae pursed her lips in thought. Her tongue ran over her lower lip, tasting salt distantly. "Oh," she shook herself. "Yea, I'll see what I can find." And soon she walked back to the front of her house to enter through. Her shadowy figure could be seen passing through the candle lit windnows that looked out behind her house. She kept an eye on him as she climbed downstairs quietly where Twizzy, Sage, and Ombre were all sleeping. Looking through a few drawers, she gathered everything she needed and headed back outside.

Weilding in her arms were a towel and body cloth, loose black baggy cotton pants, blue and white plad boxer-shorts, and a bar of soap and razor on top. She laid everything near Orian and stepped back. "Once you're done, you can come inside," she offered with a polite smile. A yawn suddenly crept up on her and realized that she begun to get tiredsome. However, she'd wait for him to finish and set up a place for him to sleep. "I'll arrange a sleeping corridor for yo~u," she yawned again. Ack! If he needed nothing else, she would walk back inside to arrange some blankets and such in the upstairs area while giving a few looks out the window to him every now and then.

Smiling at Fae, he have a little half bow from his kneeling position. After she left, he quickly washed himself, and changed into the pants and boxers after a little confusion as to their makeup, and shaved before heading inside, carrying his other arm under his right one. He had discarded what was left of his shirt. Crisscrossing his chest where faint scars, and he had almost no body fat to speak of, though he didn't look entirely unhealthy. Just a little underfed. Bowing to Fae when he found her, he kissed her hand. "Thank you again M'lady. You are truely a life saver. I believe you mentioned a place I could lay down and sleep?" He blinks a little bleerily, and smiles a little.

(Assume he goes along to wherevers he shows him to sleep. I"m off to nap myself. Thankies for the RP!)

((Okie dokie. ^^ When he wakes up, feel free to post in my journal/house if you want.))

After Fae had finished arranging blankets and a pillow on the love seat, she didn't know if this would be a large enough sleeping area. Frowning, it was the only choice where she could place him. The fact of Twizzler waking up to find a stranger in her house hadn't occured to her yet and turned her head as he walked inside. It was clear that he was much more taller than her- at least 8 inches taller.

"Mhm," she nodded, pointing to the little couch. But her hand was caught in it's path and was raised to the man's lips. She blinked, the faint demure blush creeping in her cheeks again. "Ah.." Reflex kicked in and bit into her lip. As Orian walked over and made himself comfty, she watched him until he slept and idly found her sketch book. An hour went by; surely he was deep asleep now. Fae folded her sketch pad up then slumped out to her porch to callPueblo in. Then the two headed downstairs (Pueblo slinking past the man) and Fae went to write a quick entry in her journal. After, she passed out on her bed, exaughst from her day's happenings.

Rahujo
Vice Captain

Rahujo strode out of her gate into the main village, and stopped for a moment.

Wait ... where exactly was I last night? She scratched her head. Her memories of the night were slightly fuzzy. After a little thought, she remembered the reason she'd ended up at Ieyasu's: it was on her path from the forge to the centre.

She started walking, and although most of the village's houses were rather similar - simple two-storey wooden constructions with thatched roofs - she recognised the bamboo windchimes and ornaments on Ieyasu's porch.

Wondering if anyone was home - and if she'd done anything potentially embarrassing last night - she stopped near the front of his house.

The front foor of Ieyasu's home was slightly ajar, as was usually the case during the warmth of the day. Neither he or his gryphon charge were outside, however. The porch had been tidied since the impromptu party, with nothing there except the windchimes and garden ornaments.

The bamboo deer chaser 'thunked', spilling its water down into the shallow bowl. Ieyasu was indeed inside the house, but he had no idea that there was anyone outside. He had been busy making a few snacks for himself and Osu, with a little fish and some rice.

It was a little difficult, though, when Osu was too impatient to wait for them to be finished. At first nosing around, he sat back eventually with a rather loud, indignant trumpet. Ieyasu glanced at the impatient Aerandir before grinning.

"Not much longer. Then you can have one."

A muffled call came from inside the house, through a small gap in the doorway. Looked like someone was in, then. She stepped up onto the low wooden porch and knocked gently on the door.

"Hello? It's Rahujo - I think I may have left some things here when I left yesterday..."

Ieyasu stood up from his spot next to the cooking pit on hearing Rahujo. Turning, he headed for the door, pulling it open. As he saw the Aerandir, he grinned at her. As usual, he was dressed simply in loose cargo pants and an open, light shirt.

"Hey Rahujo. What did you leave? I found more than a few things that were left behind."

Meanwhile, Osusuki had remained behind in the kitchen. With the onigiri. With a quiet, almost inaudible chirp, he tilted his head, staring at the rice balls. Standing up, he stepped forward carefully and quietly, craning his long neck forwards. They were there, he was there and there was nobody to stop him.

He then poked at one of the wedges, before pulling it off of a plate, scattering little clumps of rice. Lying down on the kitchen floor, he nudged the onigiri between his front paws before beginning to (very messily) peck away at it with his long beak.

Rahujo smiled a little as Ieyasu came to the door. "Good morning... uh ... evening." She winced slightly, inwardly. Waking up in the evening was a truly odd experience to the normally early-rising blacksmith.

"Thank you for your hospitality last night. I believe I left without my toolbelt, and I think I also left a small cloth bundle of tools, plans, and assorted things."
PostPosted: Mon Mar 21, 2005 3:04 pm

Nodding his head, Ieyasu drew back from the door, opening it a little wider. "Come in. I remember seeing those - I'll just go get them for you."

Turning, the youth headed for the alcove where the runged ladder was. He'd stored the various leftovers underneath it, in case the owners came back to claim them. Crouching down, he searched through the clothes, before finding a little cloth wrapped, heavy bundle and a toolbelt. With a soft grunt, he hefted up the rather heavy belongings, before heading back over to Rahujo.

Rahujo nodded, and smiled at Ieyasu. "Those are the ones. Thank you again."

She took the belt and cloth bag, and slung the former around her waist, fastening the hefty brass buckle at its side. "I felt somewhat... lost, without my tools to hand. Especially this one."

She tapped the head of a large hammer that hung at her hip, its shaft over three feet long. The head looked like dark, hard stone, the sides streaked with rust marks but the face polished to a sharp gleam.

"This is the hammer with which I was born," she said softly, lightly lifting the hammer out of its loop and turning it in her fingers as if it weighed almost nothing. "From what I was told, Alyosha found the stone head on a dig. He got one of the team to put a rough handle on it. I remember Mhairi saying that the hammer was one of the first objects I was really interested in, as a gryphon."

She looked down at the polished stone. "I have always had it near me since I was a child. It feels ... odd, to be without it. Disconcerting."

Rahujo looked up, her reverie ended. "Anyway, if you ever need something made, drop by the forge. I can usually be found there."

She gave a quick grin. "I will probably see you around, regardless." She turned and stepped off the porch, half-turning and waving when she was several yards away. "Goodbye."

Orian was wondering the east beach of the island, watching the moon and stars slow progress through the skys, and thinking, wondering what he was going to do, what had happened to him. He was so wrapped up in thought, he was barely registering the world around him.

It was late, past the time that Nyxa was usually in bed. But she was restless, and she wasn't the only one who was. Julian and Luc were both up and skulking around in front of the cabin while Nyxa puttered around.

Luc froze, his eyes locked on the barely distinguishable form on the beach. Screeching loudly, he lowered his body to the ground and slinked back to Nyxa, who looked in the direction he moved from. Squinting her eyes, she made out the form on the beach. It wasn't Ieyasu, obvious from the lack of shocking white hair. Alyosha? Maybe..

She decided to call out to the stranger, taking the chance that it was, indeed, Alyosha who was wandering the beach. "Hello?"
