Kirai sat down, gently folding her hands in her lap. Looking at Edward, a look like almost sorrow came across her face. Turning her eyes like glass over to the candle on a small table next to her seat, she raised on hand and passed her fingers back and forth between the flame. "Edward..." Pulling her hand back, she rested it with the other one, the odd feeling of part of the blood in her body being warm and the rest always being cold. "I don't think I could kill Avarice." Her eyes became very sad, actually, atleast looking, truely sad and deep, no longer reflecting light from any of the candles in the room. "You were with me when... when I awoke after he did that to me. The pain of dieing, and death by the hand of the one who you loved more than life itself, death by the first one who you ever felt loved you." Her head fell down, her voice turned cold when she mentioned Avarice. "I was greatly decieved in Avarice. But... you stayed. I was never decieved in you... except during the times of war between the Black Cross and the RCS, but even then, I was decieving myself into feeling wrath towards you, and towards everyone." Looking back up, Kirai continued. "I thought... several things when I felt you had died. I felt several things, which numbed me even further. When I discovered how dangerious Avarice had become, what should I do, I wondered. Edward would want his loved ones to be safe, this peace he worked so hard for. I was going to kill Avarice anyways, but can I? Could I...?" She paused. "I have no soul, Edward. I have feelings, as deep as my skin can go... lonliness and darkness. I can't truely love or hate anyone... I feel that emptyness." Kirai looked at her own hands in her lap as though she could see through them, a tear fell down her face. "We need you to help us kill Avarice, I need you so I can atleast assist in his death." Kirai obviously had several reasons... she would not of brought Edward back just for herself, to kill the lonliness... she would never do that to him for such a reason. It was everything else that pushed her to do it. But she did need him, although it was the fact that everyone needed him that caused her to do it. Because she felt he would want to be alive again to protect his friends and family... because that is what he always did.

Lanius grinned silently on the inside, finding this amusing, but showed no outward response to Salazar. Turning his back, he led Salazar down a set of stairs that seemed to go forever into the earth and into darkness. "This way."

"My day just keeps getting better and better doesn't it." Salazar said following him into the earth. "So lets get to know each other shall we. I"m Salazar Neri and I kill people for sport and humor. You?"

Edward listened intently. He was quiet for a while afterwards. "Kirai, I am glad that you brought me back. I just wish that it were for different circumstances. I will of course help you kill that monster. Just one more thing, why Lanius?"

"Lanius Necro-Inclementia. Ex-leader of the RCS, caused the largest genocide in history, not very much more to it." Lanius felt like keeping it rather brief, but he was willing to answer any questions. Leading him further down the stairwell, they reached a dark large stone hallway with a steel door at the end of it. Walking silently, Lanius said, "Avarice use to work for me... my bad for not having more people sent to execute him at the time. Obviously, I killed the wrong people, then left the wrong people alive in addition to that. Rather much of a pain."

Kirai said, "I needed to practice, and I've been keeping his body hidden away all these years... I never let Avarice know about it, since the duty of burying the body was left to me. Lanius is a powerful leader, yes, he nearly killed me while I worked under his command, then with his rising again, he was a great threat. Irreguardless, this proves his intelligence, planning, and actually decent motives in the end. You and him, the two greatest leaders of the RCS to ever live, I figured he could be of assistance to you. More than anything, I wished to practice bringing back the dead before I attempted it on you, and I did not want to risk leaving the castle and having Avarice find out what I was doing. That would make it more dangerious to bring you back, after I brought another person back." She sighed, and stayed quiet for several moments. "Edward... please tell me what you think of all this, and ask me anything you wish. We need to do this, both for what we are going to have to be dealing with due to Avarice, and what we had to endure before in contribute to the same."

"Largest genocide in history... Lanius, I think this is the start of a beautiful friendship." Salazar said chucking to himself. "Do you eat human? I find the heart in particular to be a very tasty dish."

Lanius thought about it. "Once. Rather long story. And I take it, that you eat human rather often?" Reaching the door, he held it open for Salazar to walk inside.

"I am thinking that we are in dire need of resources. We are going to need an army, supplies, places to put them, and a staging point to take Avarice on without harming the innocent. I think you did the right thing, bringing me and Lanius back. But right now, I think you and I need our rest, considering what we both have been though today."

"Well, a case of 'live or let live'. It was an accident in my youth... A very corrupt maid force feeding me some slum off the street her lycan husband had killed, that is. Of course, later they found the bones, she met a hundred rounds of bullets, and her husband never did appear again." Lanius put it as simply as possible. "I was a very very young child, too young to know any better."

Kirai nodded, but then said in a quiet voice, her face turning back towards the candle, as if looking for something in the flame she could not yet see, "Edward... can I please tell you something?"

Salazar nodded and said "Sounds like you had a fun childhood too. So, what exactly are we doing down here other than reminiscing about our wonderful lives."

Kirai took a deep breath, and said. "Edward..." Looking back at him, she didn't know if she wanted to leave or stay. She decided to stay. Although she knew how to say it, Kirai felt she couldn't, so she decided to ask. "Edward, how do you feel towards me, and how did you feel towards me for all those years? Always staying by my side..." It was obvious she knew his feelings, as well as her own... Jonas was right, about Edward loving and suffering because of Kirai, a soulless woman. It hurt for Kirai to face this, but she felt she had to... it had been too long. And when Edward died, it plagued her terribly, like a nightmare you have night after night and it refuses to go away... like a shadow.
