Helen stood in front of the wires for what she hoped was the last time. Her clothes were caked with mud, filled with holes and still dripping water. she was exhausted and had to fight to to pull herself closer to the wires, but still she had to go one last time, for her team and her self.

Pushing her body low to the ground, she moved slowly through the wires, careful not to snag her shirt or anything else. Pulling herself out of the wires, she barely had the energy to celebrate. With half hearted enthusiasm, she set off towards the next obstacle.

Asher somehow had managed to make it through the wire crawl unscathed. Unfortunately, his previously clean clothes weren't so lucky.

Now covered in mud, he headed towards the cliff. Climbing was much more his forte. Asher almost felt confident now. That is, he did until he remembered the explosions.

Here goes nothing...

(( run 5 - wire crawl ))

Lucifer scowled, one paw tapping irritability against his leg. This would be his last run, ever, and so help him he had had enough of this stupid course. Why he was doing it again he didn't know, didn't care, he just wanted to get through the course a last time and be done with it.

Stupid barbed wire, it better not catch on his clothes this time...or his tail.

(( run 5 - cliff climb ))

Snort! He was through the wire, good, he had come to hate that wire. This time his tail, and his clothing had been spared, he had managed to avoid whatever projectiles had been thrown his way (oh don't think he didn't see those water balloons, snarl!).

Standing, he brushed some of the mud from his t-shirt before his gaze turned to the cliff above. Right, one more climb. Maybe he should have rested longer between runs, but there was no going back now.

Finally making it to the top of the cliff, Asher was now brimming with confidence. This isn't that hard, is it?

Oh what a silly little audio.

Asher reached for the rope and closed his eyes. This was the second challenge in a row that he had forgotten the gators. Already swinging halfway across the pond, he tried not to panic.

(( run 5 - gator pit ))

Growl, he hated this obstacle, really really REALLY hated it. Though he might have supposed it would be very entertaining, were he the one sitting back and watching alligators chomp on camper's tails. Hell, he might have actually enjoyed this one (if he wasn't afraid of sharks he wasn't afraid of gators) were it not for the part that involved water.

A mutter, Lucifer took the rope, again wrapping it around one paw to strengthen his grip. Just go, and don't think about the water.

Thankfully he managed to stay calm long enough to cross the gator pit. Asher headed towards the next obstacle.

Still shaking with fear at the fact that he had been so close to being attacked by gators, Asher climbed onto the beaver balance. Beavers weren't that scary or vicious, right? And seagulls were harmless. Well they would have been if it weren't for the fact that they were being fired at campers like feathery bullets of death.

Could somebody really fall to their death in a colorful ball pit? Asher wondered. Of course, now wasn't the best time to find out.

(( run 5 - beaver balance ))

He had made it to the other side, landing on dry land, a quiet sigh that to another may have sounded more like a growl. It was perhaps a feat that he had managed to hold on that time (though the rope had burned his paw). Lucifer was exhausted, his arms ached, his clothes tattered and littered with mud, various nicks and scratches from his tangles with the wire fence.

Now he just wanted to be through and done with it. God, he was so going to go blow something up after this.

It seemed that as soon as the thought had entered Asher's mind, he fell into the pit. He had lost his footing and slipped off of the log.

"Guess I have to try again," he groaned. At least his theory had been wrong. Still clearly shaken, but alive and uninjured, he stepped onto the log for a second time.

Reaching the cliff, Helen immediately set off to try and find the path she'd used the last four times. She found what she thought was her starting point and proceeded to start scaling the wall. The last four times she had jsut assumed that this was the path she had taken before, and she was doiung this again, hoping that even if it wasn't the first path, it was a path without bombs.

Pulling herself over the edge for the fifth time that day, Helen couldn't help smiling. She hadn't even failed once on this beast! That surprised her since she though it would be the hardest of all of them, it looked the most impossible.

So much for uninjured. A seagull had come flying at his head before he had even made it halfway across the log.

Rubbing his head, where the seagull had hit him, Asher got on the log for the third time. If the gators hadn't stopped him, why should this obstacle?

Without thinking, Asher went to the beginning of the course to do it all over again. He got through it once with only one injury, what was one more go? Determined, he dropped to the ground for the wire crawl.

Might as well go for the immunity while I'm covered in all this mud.

Helen trudged up to her least favorite obstacle of all, the gator pit. Running towards the rope at full force, Helen shot over the water. Sadly for her, she threw herself at the rope a little too hard and it snapped. Landing back in the water with her new favorite animal (yeah right) Heeln fought to get back to the shore for what must have been the tfifth time that day.

Asher smiled. Apparently he was pretty good at the wire crawl. He headed towards the cliff. This was the second time he would climb it. He hoped he remembered where he had climbed successfully the first time.

Helen had no idea why she had so much trouble with this obstacle, she saw others fly over in one try a lot. Shrugging her shoulders she went to try again. She tugged the rope first, making sure it was secure before she jumped. And then, she threw herself over, and into the mouth of a gator. Dropping the rope and screaming in frustration, and terror, Helen kicked out frantically, hoping it would let her out.

Finally, the mouth opened and she was able to pop out and swim for land. In an awful mood, Helen climbed back up and prepared to try again.
