((Why'd you use an asterisk for that word? It's not that bad, I mean, I'm barely restraining Verin from cursing like a sailor...))

Verin pushed past the others and followed Strider and calling back. "I don't care what's wrong with him. Now there's one less piece of--" "Verin." "--that we have to deal with." Rore moved behind Verin as he walked and shook his head. He didn't know why, but he felt a little anxious, the hand on his sword fidgeting with the leather straps of the hilt and the red jewel set for the pommel. Probably just the situation, he told himself.

Elistral nodded and cast a concerned glance at Strider's receding figure. "He was of himself when he saw us before, and after he retrieved his staff." She frowned and reached up a hand to finger her leaf brooch absently. "The sight of one of Mal's lieutenants could have possibly triggered a mood change about what to come, but..." She trailed off. "I'll speak to him and see what's wrong." Is something the matter?, she asked Strider through her mind, You don't seem...yourself.

Crow took a brief look at Oni's corpse and sent up a prayer, still acting as a priest, as a mist covered it and it faded from view. He cocked his head, eying it curiously until the mist disappeared. It didn't seem harmful, so he didn't say anything about it. A smile found his face as he moved ahead though.

Fenrir glanced about and noticed that no one was around, not even any scents. Usually he'd have been able to tell the moment he stepped onto a world, but how had he missed this? His gaze followed Demios's to the sky and he saw a roiling black cloud. "Ah, so that's why..." He muttered to himself and stood up. "That, my friend, is what I call a being of force. And it seems that it's moving pretty fast. Last thing I know was that Fate was handling it. It must've broke off when it sensed something, but what--" His yellow eyes lit up and he nodded to himself. "Of course, Mal did it." He paused, then nodded again understandingly. "Well, even this place isn't safe anymore. We'd better go back to where the others are." He sent a thought directed to Fate, which usually had a direct link to him, wondering whether they should leave or not.

((eh impulse))

-Strider heard Elistral Don't worry about it. I'd like to keep it to myself. I didn't mean to freighten you or Jake. It wasn't my intention. Strider kept walking down the corridor until he came to the main entrance where all the people were gathered and went over to Rore- "Rore I have a favor to ask you. Could you make sure all of these people get away from this palace? It may not be safe in this area for much longer. Also take Verin with you. Who knows maybe someone you and he know is down there." -Not waiting for a reply he began to climb the stairs that led up and he began thinking to himself. Not much further. Reaper is more than likely waiting for us somewhere along the way and then it's down to Mal. Strider kept climbing until he reached the last step and began walking down a corridor-

-Jake had caught up with Strider and followed him up the stairs- "Are you sure you know where your going?" -Then they exited the corridor to walk into an expanse of pillars and colums ending with the throne and sitting in it was Reaper-

"Bout time ya got here. Do ya know how long I been waitin'? Almos fell asleep. Oh well the important thing is tha ya here no? So les skip the formalities and get down ta buisness." -Reaper draws two very large modified magnum pistols and spun them around on his fingers-

((*nods*))

Rore nodded and began to drag Verin by the arm with him, glad of the distraction. The feeling he was getting was almost overwhelming. Definitely the situation, he told himself again, holding the flaming torch above his head. "Oi! Leggo of me!" Verin shouted, trying to twist his arm free from the strong grasp. "Come on, that son of a b***h is close, I just know it!" Rore shook his head and began to call out instructions to the clustered groups of people. Verin continued to struggle and curse louder, trying to break free. "b*****d, I'll get you for this!"

Elistral bit her lower lip, but didn't say anything back. Something was wrong, not just with Strider's actions, she thought. The whole feeling of this place and what had taken place in it seemed different. Her instincts reacted to her thoughts, urging her to run, but she ignored them like she usually did. She'd told herself she'd see this out. Whether it meant her death or not, she wasn't going to get out now. If she just gave up now, she'd never forgive herself, and knew that the others wouldn't either, and she wouldn't blame their decision.

Crow watched the two leave, and decided to keep following the rest of the group instead. His eyes caught on the sight of Reaper on the throne. He didn't feel particularly angry at him for tossing him in the dungeon, no, he felt glad instead. He waved at Reaper from across the room, standing behind Jake, though the boy would've probably noticed already.

Fenrir nodded to himself, not worrying about an answer, then helped Demios up by his arm. He was used to acting without advice, this time wasn't any different. "Alright then." He said, and then vanished with Demios, both of them reappearing a floor above Mal's throne room. Now they were standing at the top of the long staircase leading down. "Take the stairs slowly, you're still injured and I have nothing else to help you." He thought for a moment, then smiled at something he had thought of. "And for the gods' sake, do not go running down there screaming. It'll more of a show than you can handle if you do, even though there will be one anyway!"

This world, or area on it, was the weakest thing it had ever encountered. No suitable hosts, not even a speck of the thing called magic. The inhabitants were now dead, and it wondered whether it should continue on this place. No, it had vengeance to take, this world could wait for later. It continued its search, thinking as it went. That boy it had used, the one so filled with light. It could use that one again, but no, Strider had already witnessed it before and he would be smarter this time. Two sparks of life appeared in the otherwise lifeless area, feeling very strong with magic. Yes, it would use one of those two. It started to move towards them, but then they disappeared soon after. All the same, it followed after them, following them to the location where it had sensed the flare it was originally heading to.

"Careful guys. Those aren't your average hand guns." -Strider kept his hands stiff ready to summon his staff to him at a moments notice-

"You bet these aren't. You wouldn' even need a direct hit for a kill sot with these." -He stopped spinning his guns and fired one at Strider. He was the prime target. He would never forgive him for what he ahd done to him all those years ago-

-Strider summoned his staff and deflected the bullet and it was sent flying hitting a pillar and blasting it in half makeing it fall over-

-Jake had jumpped back after the shot hit the colum- "Holy s**t! What kinda gun is that?"

"A magicaly modified .357 Magnum pistols complete with magically enhanced .50 caliber rounds. Courtesy of Mal of course." -Reaper fired another shot at Strider-

-This time Strider ducked. The last round almost broke his arms just deflecting it. It hit the entrance smashing the entrance closed. Sealing Crow, Jake, Strider, and Elistral in the throne room with Reaper-

-Jake ran and ducked behind a pillar- "A right fine mess we've landed in now."

-Strider was standing beside him peeking from behind the pillar and ducked as another shot came whizzing past cutting his cheek it quickly healing- "We've been in worse. Remember that time on the dessert planet that took our magic? You know the evil tyrant?"

"Bait and switch?" -Jake remembered it was a room quite like this except the enemy wasn't a proffesinal assassin/bounty hunter who had magically modified weapons-

"Bait and switch." -Strider took off his coat and handed it to Jake. Then knelt down in the direction of Reaper-

-Jake put on the jacket and got ready to sprint across the room- "On three. One. Two. Three!" -Jake went running across the room shoting lightning at Reaper-

-To stop the lightning he shot the bolts with his pistols cutting the lightning in half- "Stop runnin and hold still."

"So be it." -Strider came out from behind a pillar and hit Reaper with a lightning bolt in the face knocking him over- "Well that should be that."

-Jake kneeled down breathing hard. He ran really fast- "Well it looks like it worked well enough."

-Then Reaper used the throne to pick himself up off the ground- "God damn! Shoulda known you'd pull that one me." -Part of Reaper's face was burnt black where the bolt had hit and Reaper's voice had a robotic tone to it-

-Strider looked at Reaper with disbelief. There was no way Reaper could have taken that bolt. Especially when you add the fact he was part machine. It was impossible. Unless....Mal- "I'm gonna guess Mal gave you magic proof metallic skin didn't he."

"You bet yer shades he did." -He shook his head to get his bearings again. That bolt had knocked him into the next life and back- "Now where were we? Oh yes." -He quickly aimed at Strider and shot smashing away a large chunk of the floor as he dodged behind the pillar. Then he shot at Jake with the magnum in his right hand not giveing him a chance to pull that last trick on him again. Now the real fight started-

Crow peered out from behind a pillar, keeping close to the side. "What...What should we do?" He asked, breathing heavy from running to hide.

Elistral shook her head and peeked around too. "Well, those two are handling him. And we originally came for Mal..."

Crow gave her a disbelieving look. "You're crazy! We'd get killed!"

Elistral shrugged and smiled. "Even if we did, atleast we could try to weaken him, right? I'm quite sure that Strider and Jake are more than a match for him...Hopefully."

Crow shook his head and sighed. They'd be killed even if all of them went after Mal. But then, he wasn't on their side. And even though Mal had shot him with lightning and didn't trust him, maybe he'd atleast be happy that he'd lead the group in here and not kill him. He had looked up to the leader of the Ravagers, and planned to do anything that would help what he aimed for.

"If you want to stay back and help them, do that, Daniel." Elistral said, glancing around. "But I have to go and find him, no matter if you try and stop me." She crouched and then ran by the wall, keeping out of sight as she ducked behind the throne Reaper had been on. She just knew that Mal was somewhere in that room, somehow.

Crow gave another sigh and then ran over to where Elistral was. He noticed she was trying to figure out where Mal was, and then noticed a lever. He reached over and pulled it, moving back as the throne slid away.

"How did you--?" Elistral asked, but pushed the thought away. Wondering about how a priest had found a way down would have to come later. She drew her sword and then after a glance back at Jake, Strider, and Reaper, followed the stairs down.

Crow followed closely, making his rapier materialize out of the air. As soon as she went farther down, he'd stick her through the back, he thought to himself.

"Ah, Demios." Fenrir spoke up. "Could I ask you a small favor?"

It could feel what it had sensed even stronger now. Closer in its grasp, as well as Strider, the boy filled with light, and a few others, some beings of magic. Soon it would strike, getting its revenge and the goal it had kept since it had gained a consciousness. The one it had chosen as its temporary host hadn't noticed it at all, along with the one that had the likeness of a great reptile. It hovered on the ceiling above the two, blending in with the black rock of the hallway.

-Mal heard footsteps and felt Crow perhaps Crow had found Strider and had switched sides either way Mal was determined to make sure he was dead this time- "Welcome Elistral and welcome Crow. I'm going to guess you came here ahead of my brother and his annoying little posterboy Jake. Tsk tsk tsk. Very foolish of you. Especially you Elistral. Now since it's very obvious that both of you have a death wish I shall obligate myself to grant that wish." -Mal turned as they were comeing down and smiled summoning his sword in a blaze of fire- "Come. Lets see what the daughter of my brother is capable of!"

-Strider saw Elistral begin to descend into the secret staircase knowing where it led Strider jumpped out trying to get to her but jumpped back just before getting shot- "Damn it!" -He then saw the throne slide back shutting the staircase- "Jake!"

"I saw. What do we do?" -Jake peeked around and ducked just before getting hit himself-

"I don't know!" -Then more to himself- "I don't know." -Then he re-said the words in his head "I don't know. I don't know? But if I don't know then.." Strider opened his left eye and he didn't see anything from the future but two paths one was the world being destroyed or the universe being enslaved. Something had happened not only to the future but himself. What was going on. Then it hit him. He knew exactly what to do- "Jake do you trust me?"

"Yeah. Why?" -Jake looked at Strider and the look in his eye. He knew exactly what was going on- "No not that. Don't do what I think your gonna do."

"I'm sorry I don't have any other choice." -He began to draw in raw energy and then purple sparks zapped around him and he stepped out from behind the pillar and began to walk towards Reaper-

"Oh so givin up are ya? Well good. Now just don't jump out of the way." -He began to aim then seeing the sparks immediately remembered what it was and began to drop his guns and run-

-Strider released the energy directly at Reaper makeing a giant shockwave of energy that disintigrated anything in its path and it hit a part of Reaper. Then it ended. Strider walked over to what was left of Reaper which was a torso an arm and his head and inside of him was nothing but machinery- "I'm sorry things had to turn out like this, Reaper."

"Eh. What can ya do? I was programmed ta do evil so I did it. I have to admit though it was a pretty good run. For an android that is." -Reaper reached inside of himself and grabbed the only human part of him left. His heart- "Welp i'll see you in the next life. Oh and do try not to die. It would be very ani climactic don' ya think?"

-Strider smiled- "Your not so bad Reaper. Though I don't think you'll see me for some time."

"Eh i'll train and practice then the next time we meet i'll be the winner." -Reaper smiled-

"Good bye Reaper."

-Reaper nodded and squeezed his heart and pulled it out killing him instantly-

"Welp thats that I guess." -Then he saw a little bit away he saw something that Reaper had dropped. A mask. Strider went and picked it up-

"Hey isn't that Reaper's old mask? Thought you broke that. Didn't it enhance all of his abilities?" -Jake had come up to Strider-

-Strider raised his eyebrows- "Why yes it does." -Then he went to go into the secret staircase but the lever was gone. blasted away- "Ummmm. Jake."

"Yeah what?" -Then he noticed the lever was missing- "Great."

Death wish? For both of them? Crow felt a little twinge of pain as he considered that Mal really did want to kill him. But it didn't last for too long. If he lived, then he would go his own way perhaps. If he didn't, then he'd at least kill the elf in front of him, as much stubborn as her father, he thought. He gripped his rapier so that the blade was reversed and stabbed down hard and fast.

Elistral had frozen when she heard the name that Jake had earlier called Daniel. But as soon as her sharp elf ears heard the rush of air behind her, she pivoted on her heel and brought her blade up to neatly block the thrust aimed at her back.

"You're too trusting, bard." Crow sneered, then readjusted his grip again to swing at her side. "Any fool would have heeded that boy's word. Excluding my cousin and the other one."

"And what about you, Daniel?" Elistral retorted, moving her sword a little at an angle to parry the attack and taking a half-step back. Her left foot rested on the corner of the next step, and she was fearful of having her back open to Mal from behind. "You should have had more sense than to trust the likes of him."

Crow growled and launched a flurry of attacks at her. "That is not my name anymore, I refuse to be called that."

"But you were born with that name, just as you were born a demon. It is in your blood as well." Elistral knocked his rapier aside and launched herself forward, lowering her head to ram into Crow's shoulder and knock him down. "You will be dealt with later." She turned to face Mal, holding her runed sword in front of her. "Now, I'll deal with you, Uncle."

-Mal smiled. She was certainly his brother's daughter. Stubborn, intellegent, couragous, annoyingly persistant, and clever. Though from what he had seen it will be a quick fight. She doesn't seem to be very powerful magically but her skill with her sword says shes had it since birth practically- "So be it my darling Niece. Let's see if you inheirited your father's skill with a blade." -Mal dissappeared and reappeared right infront of her in mid slash smileing insanely-

-Strider shot bolt after bolt at the throne but they kept bounceing off- "God Damnit!" -The future in his eye was getting darker. He had to hurry. He stepped back a few feet and ran jump kicking the throne barely cracking it. So he kept kicking makeing a bigger and bigger crack and then right before it shattered it reformed itself good as new- "Arrrragh!!!" -Strider fell to hi knees and punched the floor makeing a huge spider web crack-

-Jake watched in dispair not knowing what to do. It was obvious the throne was regenative and magic reflective but all he could do is hit it and shoot it but...Jake looked around for one of Reaper's guns and sure enough not far away there they were so he picked it up and shot the throne smashing away a peice and it didn't regenerate so he shot it again but this time it bounced off and went towards the ceiling smashing a hole in it- "Woops."

-Demios was looking around when he heard something fly by his head adn then the floor smashed open underneath Fenrir and Demios- "Waaaahhhhh!" -Demios sprouted wings and began to hover down- "Gah warn a guy next time!" -He saw Jake and Strider but not Elistral or Rore or Verin- "Hey where is everyone?"

"Demios!? How'd you get here?" -Then he saw Fenrir- "Oh he's how. But anyway Fenrir you have to help us now. This throne leads to Mal and Elistral went down with another enemy. She's down there fighting by herself!"

Elistral blinked in amazement at Mal's speed and just brought her sword up to block the swing. She reacted on instinct to use the force of the blow to make the sword go away from her and used her foot to kick him in the stomach. She growled and twisted her sword to swing at Mal's unprotected side. She'd have to be careful with Mal, he was quicker than any opponent she had faced and most likely more unpredictable than the last. He also wasn't like any uncle that she'd ever met, not that she was expecting that kind of person, but that it would shock her if he had that much compassion in him to act like an uncle.

Verin was still trying to get loose from Rore's grip, but eventually stopped, a little defeated. Rore tugged the boy along, moving the groups of people out of the courtyard to the outside. Then he saw a flash of something familar and sucked in his breath. Without warning, he rushed forward into the crowd. "Hey! Not so fast!" Verin yelled angrily at him, trying to keep on his feet.

"Ah, nevermind." Fenrir said, and peered down the hole to see Strider. The look of despair and hope in his eyes nearly made him act against what he had to do, it was heartbreaking, but he shook his head regretfully. "Sorry friend, I can't. If you can find it in your heart, don't hate me for this." He stepped back and looked up at the ceiling. "Try not to kill me either." He closed his eyes and looked like he was starting to go into a seizure, shadows crossing his face. Then he re-opened his eyes.

It had been so long since it could act freely. Although it had no physical form for itself, this host would have to serve it's purposes. It brought a hand up, clenching and unclenching it into a fist, watching the movement. The feel of movement gladdened it and it took a few steps forward. A bit of cloth behind it caught it's eye, and it reached back to rip the quickly annoying coat off, tossing it to the floor. It reached up and knocked the hat off it's head also, feeling better after getting rid of those small burdens. A wonderful emotion came up then, and it began to laugh through Fenrir's body and voice, shoulders shaking. It's sharp ears heard the sound echo around it, and it laughed all the louder, revelling in the sound of it. It looked down at one of the ones it hated below and smiled cruelly, eyes glinting in the light and shadow. "Darkness has come, Strider."
PostPosted: Tue Jan 26, 2010 3:52 pm

-Mal made it look like he had been kicked but he had actually caught her foot and when she was about to hit him he looked up at her and smiled widely and showed her that he had caught her fot and he swung her into a wall- "Tell me Elistral do your trust your father? Even though hasn't been completely truthful with you? You see the father you know is the light hearted kind and courageous Strider but something you don't know about him is that even he has an evil side to him. You have seen it before though he more than likely hid this memory from you." -Mal smiled-

-Strider's eyes flashed with even more despair and his head hung low his eyes covered by his shades-

"Come on! As if our troubles weren't big enough. Come on Strider we have to make this quick." -But there was no reply so Jake turned to see him- "Strid......" -Jake reeled back in fear. Strider's body was covered in a very penetrateing dark aura- "Strider?"

-Strider had reached his limit. He didn't want to but he saw no other way. He had to realease his left eye. He opened his left eye and instead of just his eye being black the black started to spread across his body and a dark aura had appeared around him. As the blackness spread across his body he bagan to shake and his hands became claws, his feet also grew claws and his wings were no longer angel wings but demon wings along with a tail and once the darkness had completely spread he drew back and yelled/roared with a mix of his and some beasts voice it was so strong it blew Jake and Demios to the walls. When he was done he glared at Darkness his left eye still a pentagram his right a glareing red eye. Than he was directly infront of darkness as if he had always been there. He drew back his fist and pucnhed Fenrir so hard it broke the sound barrier-

-Jake got up from being smacked against a wal and looked as Strider was one place one second and right infront of Darkness in another. He had never seen anything go that fast and when he punched at Darkness it sounded like an explosion. What was going on? He had never seen Strider do this. He looked around to find Demios and when he did he was unconcious-

Elistral got up from where she had fallen on the stairs after hitting the wall hard. She used it for support as she stood, one hand on the back of her throbbing head, and a bit off balanced from it. "Every person has a good side and a bad side to them, Mal." She took her hand away from her head and saw blood on it. "If you think that I'd be shaken by the possibility that my own father wasn't so different than everyone else, you're mistaken." She swept her sword low with one hand, sweeping Mal's legs out from under him with the flat of the blade rather than the edge. Then the ground shook and she lost her balance, tumbling down the stairs after him.

Crow rolled down the stairs, but slowed himself to a stop with a hand.

Darkness flew back, crashing through several walls of rock before stopping. It got up and reappeared at the hole in the first wall it had come through. Red blood ran down from it's head into it's eyes and face, making it see through a slight red haze. It blinked in annoyance and raised an arm to wipe the majority off and look at Strider before breaking out into a wide smile. "Your dark side, Strider? You resorted to that?" It laughed aloud at the sight of him. "You must be very desperate indeed. But, --" It took a step and appeared in front of him, speaking in the deeper voice it had used when it took over Jake. "--did you really think that would work?" It raised a fist and brought it down on Strider's head, sending him crashing down back to the throne room. It jumped down and landed beside him, picking him up by the neck and throwing him down again. "Your dark self?" It echoed with a dangerous look in it's eyes, Fenrir's eyes. "What made you think that if you resorted to the evil in you--" It kicked Strider powerfully into the air and followed him up. "--something I am made of-- you could defeat me?" It grabbed Strider's tail and swung him around, bringing him down with a loud crash to shake the walls over the secret entrance to the staircase below. As it used shadows to lift Strider up again, it noticed a hole in the ground from where he had landed. The power it had sensed before, had come for originally, emnated from there. "Oh, what's this?"

((Awesome, he's a dragon...man...!))
PostPosted: Wed Jan 27, 2010 3:55 pm

((well really he's wolf(a red wolf to be more precise) not dragon and is more human than the picture....I just couldn't find anything that looked like it))

-Strider had let himself be knocked around for a bit. None of it really hurting him then he was lifted up and Darkness had found the staircase and he knew thats what he was looking for so he broke from it's spell and lunged at him pulling him along and smashing him through several walls punching him repeatedly until they came outside the palace and he drew back to punch this time a dark aura comeing from his fist and he punched Darkness down onto the ground and then opening his mouth as energy flowed into it and breathing the energy out as a black and purple beam of energy-

-Mal had used his hands to catch himself on the floor and jump back into the main room where the gate was- "Oh I know that he isn't like everyone else because unlike everyone else whenever his emotions are to strong say like anger, sadness, or desperation. He is no longer the Strider you know. He becomes an unbelievably powerful demon and goes into an uncontrolable rage killing anyone and everyone in his path. You have seen it before. It is an ancient curse put onto him for almost killing me by our eldest brother Desdion and when he was sent to earth he wasn't the Strider now he was more like you or me. You know emotional and would go into these fits frequently killing hundreds of people every time he changed. That is until he met your mother. She had found him passed out after one of his rages and had brought him to your childhood home. They fell in love, had you, and then he left. He would come and go trying to learn to control his emotions. Though you only knew he came and went. Then one day things were different he had just come from a fight with a group of demons who had attacked a defenseless town and was upset." -Mal went over to the gate and looked at it- "When your mother came out to meet him at the door he changed into his dark form and attacked your mother killing her. You were there when it happened and when he finally came to he saw you and thats when he did what he never wanted to do." -He looked back at Elistral to see her face- "He erased all memory of himself from the entrie planet and you he locked all memory of who he was from your memory. He left a few things so you would know you had a father but you wouldn't know it was him. Thats why he is the way he is now. Cool, calm, and collected. He is also the one who placed you with the elfs whenever you were little." -Mal actually frowned. He felt a little sorry for Elistral. But only a little. Mal smiled and dissappeared. Reappearing infront of Elistral prepareing to stab her-

((Wolfie! *hugs the wolf thing*))

Elistral used her hand to catch Mal's blade before he could stab her. She brought her other arm to wipe her face and she forced back her emotions and feelings of sadness. Her memories hadn't come flooding back to her like before, and she suspected that Strider was still blocking those earlier memories. It didn't matter though, she could visual everything in her mind to begin with. She lowered her arm and her blue eyes blazed with magic. The blood in her veins felt hotter now, but she didn't notice those little things. "The past is the past, Mal. I see my father as a friend, and not some mindless killer." She growled through gritted teeth. "Whatever happened back when I was a child is no different than any other one's life. There are many similarities in the world, like a drunkard father who phases in and out of conciousness, and in those blank spots gets into petty fights with others, then coming home and accidentally killing his wife and making his child forget what happened when he realizes what he's done." She squinted and dragged Mal closer to her so she could see past the haze that had come into her vision somehow. "Not that I'm comparing him a drunk man, of course. Just to let you know how he's not the only one who has made mistakes that he regrets. And I don't hold it against him either."

Crow scrambled up to his feet and made his way quickly out of the immediate area of Elistral and Mal. Not that he was a coward of course, but he had no involvement with those two, and didn't feel like getting killed while they fought. He stood still at the top of the staircase and glanced at the throne room, it looking more than a small mess than what he'd seen before.

Rore pushed his way through the crowd of people until he found a sandy haired young woman walking. "Ellen!" He cried out joyfully, tears coming to his eyes, letting go of Verin as she turned around. "Rore!" He shoved the torch he was still carrying into Verin's hands and swept the woman into hug. "I thought you were gone." He said muffled into her shoulder. Though the dress and apron she'd been wearing could have been in better condition, he was just glad to see her safe and unharmed. "I'm fine." She said and pulled back to look at him. Rore smiled and then it faded. "Where's Maria?" He asked, not seeing their daughter anywhere. Ellen's eyes grew sad as she replied to him. "I'm not sure, I was knocked out and woke up to see everything gone. The horse also..." Rore felt a knot of fear in his stomach as he thought of his daughter being dead. Verin was standing idly by with the torch in his hand when he heard an explosion and saw a cloud of dust rising from a wall. "s**t! Guys, I hate to break up your little reunion--" He was a little happy at the sight of Rore finding his wife. "--But, I think we should leave now..."

Darkness felt dull aches in the body he had taken over, but miracously hadn't physically sustained any damage. Blood also was on it as well, in great patches on skin and clothes. This host was an odd one, it mused. It also noticed that Strider didn't seem hurt at all by the physical blows it had landed on his body. In fact, he looked even madder now, anger had replaced despair in a heartbeat. But the power it had sensed from the hole it had made only made it want to get the source quicker, and Strider had realzied that and had brought it outside instead. The wave of dark energy blasted into it as it lay on the ground, but was only absorbed as soon as it made contact. Darkness sat up and flexed a hand, watching the energy crackle in miniature lightning bolts between fingers and grinned widely. It shot the energy blast back at Strider, multiplied many times by it's own power, and sent him hurtling backwards. "Looks like magic or energy will be the only way to defeat you in your current form." It remarked and raised an eyebrow. It stood up and reappeared where Strider had landed, shadow energy gathering in its foot as it brought it down hard on his stomach multiple times, hearing a slight snapping sound. Then it opened its palm and dug its sharp claws into Strider's chest, sending wave after painful wave of shocking dark energy through his body, making him jerk around.

((*pants* "woof."))

-Now Strider was getting hurt but he couldn't he wouldn't give up. Not now. Not since he was so close to his goal. Strider grabbed the hand in his chest and pulled it out useing his foot to kick Darkness skyward giveing Strider a chance to jump up. Now he wasn't as much made as determined and in that instant he heard a voice in his head calming him saying "You have the power to stop him. Why don't you use it? This is why I gave it to you." It was Fate and he knew what he had to do. He summoned a stone to his hand. It was a white marble stone. He then smashed it in his hand and from it lights crawled up his arm and onto his face and then to his left eye. The darkness that had covered him before began to vanish replaced by the light and Strider was no longer a demon but himself and from the light his wings became brighter and his shades became a red crown and his left eye no longer was black with a red star in place of his pupil but now it was a white eye with a crown for the pupil- "Tell me Darkness are you afraid yet?" -Strider drew the ghost blade from his waist and activated it and it to became brighter with a white fog comeing off it- "Now Darkness I shall purge you from the face of the universe." -Strider was right infront of Darkness and was then behind him and stabbed Darkness with the ghost blade- "This sword no longer cuts souls but instead destroyes the darkness in the body and right now your inside of this body am I right?" -Strider spun the blade and pulled it out and began slashing Fenrir's body with the blade so that no part of the body was left untouched-

-Mal saw the magic in Elistral's eyes and knew what it was. Her powers were now unlocked. The god in her was being awakened. No more fooling around with her it was time to finish this- "Enough!" -Mal jumpped back with his sword and a dark aura came off him- "We end this Elistral. Strider will be here soon and seeing his daughter dead on the floor will surely hinder his abilities." -He charged dark energy into his hand and blasted it directly at Elistral in the form of a black lightning bolt with an insane look on his face- "Die!"

((*Pets it on the head* Wolves are awesome.))

Elistral flinched by reflex, dropping Mal's sword, and felt a warm current of air flow around her. She opened one eye, then the other and saw that the lightning bolt had been slowed down by a barrier of wind. She stared at it wonderingly, curious at how her control of the wind had increased suddenly and also at how something like it could stop something else that traveled through it easily. Then she noticed that she didn't feel as weary as she had been before. She figured out that she had accepted what she had inherited from Strider, accepted that it was her fate to do it. Glancing at Mal, she smiled almost disarmingly, then sent the bolt of lightning back at him.

Crow walked a couple of steps forward, thinking about what he should do now. The most obvious was to leave this place, and he felt his wings unfold from where they had been tucked in. He rose a couple feet from the floor and saw that he wasn't alone in the room, the dog eared boy was standing by one of the walls along with someone unconcious. The sight didn't bother him though, he wasn't sure what he felt. Certianly not fear, maybe curiousity at the rubble strewn around everywhere?

Darkness felt the pull of the ghost blade strongly in his host's body. But it wasn't the pull of it trying to bring it into the blade, it was just trying to force it out of the body. It did feel a blossoming pain as well, though not physical, that threatend to harm it more than it had already did. It growled in frustration, at how close it had been to it's goal, then let out a resigned sigh. There would be other times for it to reach it, in centuries or millenia. It turned and let the blade sink into it's stomach, grabbing the hilt to keep it there, raising its eyes to meet Strider's and sending sparks of energy travel to him. "I am not afraid, there is no reason to be. I will never be "purged" from this universe." It gripped the hilt tighter and laughed low, long, and dangerously, staring into Strider's eyes, it's own flashing a bright red and deep black instead of Fenrir's yellow. "Darkness will never die. I will exist as long as the hearts of men are reveling in their self-brought upon sin. As long as there are shadows, dark thoughts, and evil intention, no matter how big or small, I will still exist. Forever until eternity." Darkness's laughter grew to be hysterical, then manical as it threw back its head triumphantly. It departed its host then, drawing back the part of itself it had left to fight Fate, one of the many "other" forces of the universe, and returned to the dark recesses of where it had first woken up, to plan and wait for the day for its vengence, the day the world ended.

Fenrir had been watching the whole scene play out, in the part of his mind that Darkness had allowed him to stay. It pained him to see his friend fight against it, as much as it hurt him to see him resort to such a level that he would never do any other time. Though he himself had done nothing besides fending off Darkness's continuing taunts while it used his body for it's own purposes, he felt immensely tired. As he took back control of his body, his arms and legs felt watery and he wobbled in place. His half-closed eyes took back their unnatural yellow hue and clouded over. He had a few seconds to register that he was covered in the scent of his own blood, there was a sword in his stomach and Strider was standing in front of him before he coughed up blood. Then he swayed in place and toppled over sideways, falling to the ground and breathing shallowly.
