Shinn looked up at Shera, a tear formed in his eye and his lower lip quivered. "Y-you're leaving?" He said sadly. "No...."
Azrael but a hand on Shinn's shoulder. "No Shinn." He said to his son. "She must go, however much I don't want to admit it. Please... you must let it go." He said to him.
Shinn wiped an eye with his little clawed hand. "A-Are you gonna be coming back?" He asked Shera.

“I’ll return some day, if my life permits it.” She could not promise she could return as she looked at little Shinn. She’d smile a little, though it was a sad smile. She’d reach out gently to pat him on the head to assure him that she would come back some day. It was all she could do to assure him. Her wings would shift slightly as they seemed to give off a pure white glow to illuminate the room with a warm glow to hopefully put Shinn’s fears to rest.

Shinn sniffled softly but brightened a bit when he saw her wings. Shinn reached out a bit but then drew his hand back. "C-can I touch your wings?" He asked softly.

“Go ahead little Shinn.” Her smile never left as she gave him a nod of approval. She’d move one of her wings closer for him to reach out and touch. It’d remain warm in light and to touch so that he would not be scared of them. “I only recently gained these wings. I am still trying to get used to these. I think my actions have caused the change in my blood. I am no longer a human I suspect.”

Shinn reached out and ran his fingers through Shera's feathers very gently. "Wow...." He said very softly. "They're pretty!" He said. "And warm!" He giggled.
Veral smiled. How blissful it is to be young like that. He thought to himself.
Azrael smiled at his son, and patted him on the head.

“Thank you little Shinn. Maybe when I return someday, if you father permits. I could carry you as I fly into the sky.” She’d smile as she looked at Azrael to see if he would approve of this little adventure for Shinn. It’d be something that she’d have to first get used to flying before attempting however. She’d be sure to get practice for that day with Celeron’s help to get used to her new wings.

Miluiel nodded. "I will do my best Miss Shera." she assured her with a sad smile. Watching Shinn brought tears to her eyes. "Do take care of yourself." She said softly, "All of you."

Azrael smiled. "If you can master those wings enough, then I would gladly allow you to take him." He said. "I hope that you will settle your matters soon." Azrael said to her.
Shinn smiled and nodded. "Yeah! Yeah!" Shinn said, practically bouncing on his toes, and his tail swishing exceitedly. "I hope you come back soon!"

“I have to get Ruby off my tail first little Shinn. Once I do, hopefully I can return to the village. I pray that I am able and in one piece. I will be sure to have Celeron show me how to use these wings of mine. I am sure he would prefer I learn to use these wings soon.” She’d keep her smile before looking over to Miluiel. “Miluiel, I’ll return safely just keep yourself alive till I do. I think I may know a way to help you if I can return safely.”

Miluiel blinked surprised. She wondered if she was referring to her powers. "T-thank you." Miluiel said smiling nervously. "I will do my best, and you keep well yourself!" She stepped forward wrapping her arms gently around Shera.

Shinn hugged Shera's leg. "May the Great Mother protect you." He said to her, nuzzling his knee a few times before letting go and backing up, next to Miluiel.

Miluiel placed her hand gently on Shinn's shoulder. She rubbed his back comfortingly. She reached for his hand, hoping she could reassure him.

Shera would hug Miluiel gently back before releasing her and gently patting Shinn upon the head. “I’ll be careful. I have to, or I might harm Celeron’s heart and I can’t afford that. I love him too dearly to cost him any pain.” She smiled as she had said that placing her hand back in Celeron’s as she looked at Miluiel, Shinn, and Azrael. She might have been a younger angel than him but she still loved him dearly. She prayed that some day that Miluiel, Azrael, and Shinn would become a family as they looked like one to her.

"I don't mean to be cruel my dear but I don't imagine Ruby will take long to realize her failure. I would like to be gone before that realization becomes a reality." Celeron said calmly through the heartfelt goodbye.

Miluiel wiped a few tears from her cheeks. She nodded, "It sounds like a deal, I do wish though that you would be staying for tonight." She told them sincerely. "And if we do meet again then I would definitely like to get to know all of you better."
