Roman grinned. "I've been having a pretty good time myself," he admitted, stroking Phoenix's neck. He noted with some surprise that the horse was quite warm and a little sweaty under his hand. "Maybe we should," he said uncertainly. He didn't want to go back, but he also didn't want to exhaust Phoenix. "I don't think this guy's been worked as much as he should be - he seems pretty tired."
Indeed, the stallion had his nose practically on the ground. He was breathing a little harder than usual, and Roman resolved that he was going to get some conditioning back into this horse before he left at the end of the summer. Giving Kahlilia a little smile, Roman said, "Maybe we could go back another way. Let them cool out a bit."

"Eh?" Xavier asked Nanina when she told him the girl-of-a-guy character wanted to talk to him, but he obediently picked up her phone from where it had landed on the counter.
"Go f--k yourself," He said the second he picked up the phone. "And one more thing - tell your mom to stop calling me."
Then he hung up without giving 'Mav' any time to get a word in. He put the phone back on the counter and looked at her again, but of course only looking at her ear. He placed his hands on both edges of the sink like he had done before, muttering unintelligible somethings to himself in Spanish.

Nanina smirked, That was helpful. You know he's just going to ca- The phone blared again and Nanina shook her head, giggling from frusteration.

Summer's parents pulled up at the front of the ranch. She was late getting here because her parents were slow drivers and went twenty below the speed limit. Summer jumped out of the truck and looked around taking in the surroundings. "Do you have everything?" her mother asked her.
"Yes mom," she said and got her bags out of the back of the truck, "Thanks for making me late now all the good horses are going to be taken but love you bye." "Bye" her mom said and pulled off.
"Hello anyone around!?" she called out.

"Yeah, we should get them back before they pass out or something," Kahlilia agreed, signaling Benvolio to turn around towards the path they had taken. "Which way do you want to go back? I'm pretty much clueless about this place." She admitted with a sheepish smile. Maybe tommorow they could come back here and explore some more - she knew there was a lot more to see, and she had the whole summer to take it all in.
She gently pet Benvolio, who probably had enough energy left to go back into the barn, but instead of galloping and cantering she could let him walk, which was what he wanted to do judging by his behavior, which seemed to be a mix of boredom, apathy, and sleepiness. It was wierd, how his moods changed so quickly, but as long as it never became a problem it would be all right.
"Is there a way to block people on the phone?" Xavier asked her, picking up the phone again and clicking a button to ignore the call. "It could save you both time and frustration. Switching to Geico can save you fifteen percent or more on car insurance," He joked. He was happy to hear her giggle. "This guy must be really messed up or something."
He heard a girl's voice, one he hadn't heard before. This girl was probably one of the newer ones to come to the ranch, he thought. He looked out the window for a second, trying to see her, but didn't and put his attention back on the still-blaring phone.

"Well guess everyone is busy. I'll just leave my bags here and check out the barn," Summer said to herself. She left her bags where she dropped them and headed for the barn. She entered and immediately saw a beautiful white Arabian horse. She walked up to the stall and if anyone was in the barn she didn't see them. She read the name on the stall, "So your name is Shadow, what a pretty name," she said to the horse. She stroked the horses nose and dug a sugar cube out of her pocket and gave it to Shadow.

Nanina hadn't heared the voice over all the noisy in the kitchen. He is insane. And 'emo'. WHatever. Im not sure. I'm really bad with cellphones. She cracked a smile at the Geico joke and then leaned back again the counter to stare up at the ceiling.

Roman closed his eyes, twirled his hand around three times, and ended up pointing off to one side in a sort of northeast direction. "We can head back that way," he said laughingly. "We'll find our way there eventually, and getting lost is half the fun, right? We might find places that not even Shannon knows she has."
Phoenix snorted lazily, but didn't seem to be too worried now that his head was back off the ground. Roman patted the stallion lightly and said easily, "And I'm sure these two are smart enough to find their way home if we get irrevocably lost."

Summer finished petting Shadow and headed up to the house. She walked in through the kitchen door and spotted two people, "Hi can you tell me were i can find out were my room is?" she asked them. She lookd around the kitchen taking in what the room looked like. "Oh by the way the names Summer."

Xavier turned her phone off and gave it back to her. "Hes worse than I thought, then." He shook his head. "Wow, glad that little thing is over. Or at least, hopefully. Maybe someone in here is a phone expert." He stood beside her, noticing he was much taller, due to the fact he was six foot four.
He looked over at Summer, looking like a deer in headlights for a split second but then puffing out his chest and nodded to her question. "Sure," He said. "Got nothin' better to do in here."
Kahlilia nodded, smiling and giggling a little bit. "Yeah, thats true. It'll be fun!" Benvolio was already beginning to trot to the destination Roman had pointed to, which made Kahlilia laugh more and gesture Roman to follow. "I guess the horses really know their way around here." She said, looking around but at the same time making sure Benvolio didn't try to run into a tree or trampel a squirrel on the ground.

Nanina was about to thank Xavier when a female spoke, and he puffed out his chest. She gave a small groan and wopped him in the chest. Knock it off, you look rediculous when you do that. Nanina then turned her attention to Summer and smiled. Yeah, pick a color out of those keys there. She pointed to the four on the kitchen table.

"Thank you what ever your name is." Summer said. She then looked at the phone. "Having phone trouble? If you are maybe i can help i'm pretty good with solving any problem with a phone," Summer said walking further into the kitchen. Summer picked up one of the keys and laughed when Nanina hit Xavier in the chest. "Why did you puff your chest out?" she asked.

Xavier groaned when Nanina gave him a wop in the chest. "Ow!" He exclaimed. He quickly realized she had said something and spoke in a slightly defensive tone.
"Do not." He replied to Nanina. "Besides, I like doing this." He was looking at Summer, quietly looking her up and down without moving a muscle. His face lit up when she said she was good with phones - good timing, in his perspective. Cool.
When Summer asked him a question, he shrugged his shoulders. "Because I can."

Nanina leaned slightly forward to stage whisper to Summer, I think h ethink it makes him look macho. But in my oppinion, he just looks bloted. She winked at the girl and snatched up her phone. I need to block this number, but I don't know how. Oh, I'm Nanina Barklee.

"Well you look very cute when you do it," Summer said laughing, "So ya'll gonna tell me what you need done to that phone?" she asked looking from one to the other, "And what am i supposed to call you?"
