Xennek chuckled and shook his head, "Emris, ye got a dangirous one 'ere." And then he added jokingly as if fearing for his life, "I mean yes 'um."
Carrying the pot of soup to the table, Emris glanced back at Terrie with a small smile and shook his head. "We can see that." He replied softly though he was glad that she had been able to put it back without any harm. Setting it down with a small thud, the foxtaur took the soup ladle and started to dish out the stew into everyone's bowls. "Let's get to eating, shall we?" He asked with a small smile before nodding for Terrie to come over and sit as well.

Giving Xennek an accepting nod at his second response, Terrie smiled at Emris and sat down next to Yuna. The young foxtaur was quickly growing on her elder. Terrie hoped her children would be as charming... without the ear pulling maybe. "Thank you for catching the food." She said, giving Xennek a bright grin.

"Yer welcome." Xennek grinned back before quickly going for his food. The foxtaur swallowed the steaming soup and nodded with an appreciative nod before adding. "At least some still appreciat' me."
Emris just shook his head amused by his cousin before swallowing a spoonful of the soup for himself. He about lost it though with Yuna's next reply.
"That's only cause you haven't burned their house down yet." Mused the teen with a grin, "Of course Terrie and Emris can't help but to somehow appreciate you til then!"

Happy that no one seemed to want to spit the soup back into their bowls, Terrie chanced her own sip. It was pretty good. She smirked slightly at Yuna's observation. "Until then? There better not be an 'until then.' If that happens, I'll be hitting him with more than a large spoon." She used her slice of jellied bread to point at Xennek before taking a large bite of it. "You stay away from the fireplace." Part of her was playing along, but another was worried. They had babies on the way! If they lost the house, where would they go?

Xennek held out his hands in surrender, "Aye, aye." He chuckled softly though before returning to his food.
Emris laughed softly before pointing his spoon towards Yuna, "I don't think we'll have to worry....for now." He smirked, "I'll personally block off any source of fire while he's here."
His smile brightened even more as he cousin muttered something under his breath playfully before spreading jam on a piece of bread and stuffing it in his mouth.
"Good idea." Replied Yuna with a grin, "But I guess we can say that he won't burn down the house for a while again." She chuckled, "Or he's going to go on the longest trip of his life." The teen squeezed her dad's hand in good humor as he just shook his head.

Terrie looked around at table, her bright eyes carrying a rather admiring expression. So... this is what a family is like. Everyone laughing, chattering, the scent of warm food and the knowledge of knowing a warm bed awaits you that night. Her hand unconciously went to her belly. This was just the kind of place she would want to bring these children. Her tail flicking happily, she continued observing as she ate. "This is nice." She said softly, not realizing she was talking out loud.

Emris smiled and finished eating his portion before talking with Xennek about actual things that mattered, such as the next shipment from the other isles and the next market day.
"Yup." Replied Yuna with a small smile as she brushed past Terrie while carrying empty bowls to the sink. The teen had been listening to everyone rather than even attempting to get in on the talk. Now she was starting to clean up the empty dishes since she had already eaten her fill.
Frowning at something Xennek said, Emris looked over at Terrie and asked. "What do you think should be planted in our....I mean the garden this spring?" He blushed faintly, "I mean....any advice there?"

"Thank you Yuna." She said while handing the teen her own empty bowl. Terrie pursed her lips in thought, mostly to hide the smile that tried to come up. "Well, I'd like to have carrots, potato, pumpkin. Things that won't go bad overnight. I'd like- I think a blueberry bush or two would be nice as well."

Nodding Emris made note of all the things that Terrie suggested, "Those are good...ideas." He grinned, "And a blueberry bush wouldn't hurt either...I could plant them by the house or maybe near the stream but not too close." He paused in thought, "And pumpkins are good to plant before autumn...Yup, those can work." He smiled brightly at Terrie, "I'll make sure to get them when spring comes."
"Ye two talk as if yer-" A sudden clatter of plates into the sink water cut Xennek off and he looked sheepishly at his daughter, "I mean she has some good ideas 'ere, Emris." He chuckled and excused himself before disappearing down the hallway.

Terrie smiled back, glad he approved of her ideas. She yelped when the plates clattered and she jumped up to check on Yuna. "Goodness you nearly stopped my heart!" She said, putting her hand on Yuna's shoulder and looking the dinnerware over. She had missed most of what Xennek had been about to say and tilted her head when he suddenly left.

Smiling sheepishly, Yuna blinked at Terrie. "Sorry 'bout that." She replied softly before wiping absently at one of the plates. The teen's ears twitched though and a small grin flickered over her features as she looked away from Terrie and back at the plates.
Blinking after Xennek, Emris chuckled. "I'm off after him now." With a small smile and a lingering pat on Terrie's shoulder the foxtaur headed down the hallway after his cousin.

Terrie couldn't help but smile at Emris, watching him as he left the kitchen. Then she frowned a little and turned to Yuna. "Did I offend your father? I'm not exactly used to being around others yet."

"No...you didn't offend." Yuna put up a newly dried plate and started on another, "He's just like that sometimes." She smiled softly, "I think he just needs to talk to Emris alone and he also had things he needed in his guest room here."
Her tail flicked amused, "I'm sure that rooms quite a mess too." She giggled. "No worries though, Terrie." Another plate went back up to its shelf and the younger foxtaur picked up another dripping dish, "So...umm...what did..." Yuna blinked at Terrie before trailing off and rubbing at the plate.

Nodding in relief, Terrie picked up a towel to help dry the dishes. "It is a bit messy actually. Since I'm staying, we moved some of the junk from my room to his. For over the winter I mean." She added the last part hurridly. When Yuna faded off, Terrie touched her shoulder. "What is it? Something wrong?"

Yuna laughed, "Oh boy...I bet he'll love that then." But then she looked over at Terrie and shook her head. "Oh...nothing really." Yuna smiled and started to wipe at the counter. "You know....I love children." The teen stated absently before moving down to start cleaning the table.
