[1 year later...]
It was so early in the morning that the sun did not even peak over the horizon yet. At this time of the year, it wouldn't until a much later time in the morning. It was winter. It did not snow the night before but the freezing temperatures caused all the water in the air to crystallize into a nice layer of frost over the flowers of the Shihouin clan house. The family had not been back for over a year now. It made Toshiro wonder how many households they had in their possession. He walked outside, the cold air filled his lungs as he inhaled slowly. Looking back at the bed, Kuraime was fast asleep. The air became colder, he felt his skin start to prickle as snow started to fall from the sky and lay on the ground. It was time to go... He lingered here for far too long, soon enough the Sereitei will start to enforce guards around the area and place Kurai in danger. He watched Kurai, as she snuggled up against a pillow that substituted him. She held a faint smile on her face before she muttered his name. The past week, he hasn't been able to sleep well at all. His thoughts always told him to leave, but his heart told him to stay. He silently walked over to Kurai and leaned over the bed. With his knees on the ground and his arms folding on the bed, he laid his head down. Tears began to slowly be born from his eyes. He wanted to say bye, but knowing Kurai... she would force him to stay with those golden eyes that always caught his attention. He had to write her a letter, an apology... and a promise. Borrowed some parchment and ink from the household study. Walking outside, he sat under a lamp underneath the roof that shielded the balcony from any forms of danger overhead. There he began writing.
My dearest Kuraime Shihouin,
This past year has been the greatest moments of my life. I loved every second being with you, day after day. It's the first snow for the season, I hope you like it as much as I do. Maybe one day we can enjoy it together. So it's really early in the morning, the sun isn't even out yet. Do you know how hard you kick when we sleep? It must be the result from all that training you had to perfect your shunpo. I won't start telling you what I miss most, because that would be a goodbye. I'll tell you, what I'm looking forward to the most. Those golden eyes that always seem like they are full of light and happiness. That crooked smile of your will always make me desire your lips. You've made me the happiest man alive. My only wish is that I don't have to leave you temporarily. In a few years time, I'll come back and see you. I hope, you can wait that long.

Kurai groaned, woken by the sudden chill that pervaded the early winter morning. She reached instinctively for Toshiro's warmth, but her hands closed on empty air. She patted about, but Toshiro was definitively not there.
Her eyes snapped open, dull gold flashing in alarm. Now that she focused, she realized she couldn't feel him anywhere. His scent lingered, but it was half-faded, and his aura was gone.
"Toshiro?" Kurai called, expecting no response. She tossed aside the heavy blankets and caught the rustle of paper. Flipping the blankets aside, she felt about until her fingers brushed against parchment. Snagging the sheet, she frowned. The ink she could smell on the paper had been dry for some hours. Reading was always difficult. She generally relied on braille, but clearly Toshiro had no braille slate...
Running the sensitive tips of her fingers over the heavy parchment, she could just trace the letters Shiro had written. It took her a few minutes to get the gist of the letter, and in those minutes, her expression darkened.
She crumpled the note in a reflexive burst of anger. But anger was quickly giving way to a tightness in her throat. She'd wait. Of course she'd wait for Shiro.
No, waiting wasn't good enough. She'd find him. With that goal in mind, she tossed the letter into the snow and disappeared in a flash step.

Kuraime could notice Matanza facing her from a rather short distence.He sat on the rooftop of the building face to face with Kuraime's house.
He had a specific pair of binoculars which seemed a little high tech and all that.

Kurai vanished from Matanza's sight for a moment, reappearing behind him and leaning casually on his shoulder. She didn't mind the binoculars, really. More the fact that it felt as though she was being spied upon.
"Do we have a problem, Peeping Tom?" She wanted to know, studying her nails with disinterested intent.

Matanza was startled by the sudden appereance of Kuraime.He turned his head twards her smiling.

"I could if I so chose," Kurai admitted. But that was all she'd explain to Matanza. He didn't need to know of her history, nor of her claim to the title of Tenshi Heisoban, head of the Shihouin Clan.
"This is the traditional home of the Shihouins," She said. "They have several residences within and around the Seireitei. I imagine they're at their summer residence, now,"

"Oh, I didn't knew." said Matanza with a relaxed voice.
"I was only here to look at the pretty maid." then pointed twards a little window throw which could be seen a woman showering.

Tomoya
Vice-Captain Challenge

Post [1/2] Tomoya ran and ran even after leaving the man who was chasing him to the dust. He ran blindly not trying to find his way back to his squad only trying to get away from the crazed man . When he at last stopped running he was more lost than he had ever been before. This day had been going so great and now it was turning into utter hell. If Karin had been here she would have not gotten lost she unlike Tomoya had a built in compass or so she said. Thinking about his older sister the air around Tomoya immediately grew darker despite it being the middle of the day. With a sad and gloomy sigh Tomoya sat down hard on the ground with a soft thump as he looked up at the sky the clouds reflecting in those sad eyes of his. They say the eyes are the windows of the soul and in some ways it was true you could always tell what someone was feeling just by looking deep into their eyes.
In Tomoya's case his eyes held within them a great sorrow, and a sense that Tomoya was lost inside. In truth he was lost inside he may have made some progress these past few months, but he still did not know what to do. Maybe this was why he always got lost easily because he himself was lost deep inside. Tomoya slightly chuckled at the thought as he cuddled up close to Mr.Teddy the one thing he could tell everything to. While people would come and go Mr.Teddy was the only thing constant in his life which was probably why he was so attached to the little guy. That soft little teddy bear of his was the only thing anchoring him down, the only thing keeping him from going off the deep end. While Tomoya held Mr.Teddy close to his heart, exhausted weighed down his eyes lids as they drooped lower and lower till Tomoya went into a dreamless sleep..

Tomoya

Post [2/2] If only Tomoya could be allowed to relax today but that didn't seem to be the chase. Not even an hour went by when a young female member of Squad Two found him on the ground just outside of the Shihouin clan house."Hey you okay little guy."The girl said kneeling beside Tomoya pushing him with her hand while she did so. Tomoya slowly woke up and when he turned to look to see who was waking him up he found his face mere inches from the girl's face. Tomoya did what came naturally to him he scurried up the nearest tree and hid. After a couple of moment Tomoya stuck his head out and saw the girl sitting down on the ground with a patient expression of her face. This girl had the same presence as Karin. This intrigued him as he only knew of one other who had the presence of Karin.
Feeling a tad less frightened Tomoya slowly climbed down the tree standing in front of the girl."Are you lost?"The girl asked with a smile and Tomoya nodded yes not feeling all up to talking to the girl even though she had the presence of his sister."Where are you heading.'The girl added still smiling. This time Tomoya had to do a lot more to convey his message but he was use to it by now. Picking up a stick Tomoya wrote the number four in the dirt and pointed at him and then pack at the four"Oh gotcha it should be in that direction."The girl said as she pointed to her right."Just keep on going straight and you should get their."Tomoya nodded in thanks and started walking in that direction not knowing that the girl suffered from hyperopia and had mistaken the Four for a Three. So all the while Tomoya though he was heading to his squad he was in fact heading to Squad Three instead.
