She could in her own way understand why the children loved him so. In a way she was happy she came, it helped her, at least Kara thought as she led Lin back out into the hallway, better understand the mysterious man some called Aragost.

"Good night Aragost," Lin waved as she left the room.
She made a note to file the information away, and let it just sit there.

"Good night," Aragost replied softly, following them to the door. He closed it behind them, then leaned against it, looking into his suddenly empty room. Slowly, he put one hand to his chest and sighed, then extinguished his candles and moved towards his bed.

Celebor started leading Kara and Lin down the hall again, one hand on the wall so that they wouldn't fall down the stairs. After all, it was one thing to trip over a step, but another thing entirely to fall down a set of stairs.
"So I guess we'll be leaving at first light?" he asked Kara. "I know you're not coming, but by now I guess you would be used to the routine."

"More or less, right after breakfast," Kara murmured, "We're normally all up by first light anyhow, and it takes a bit of time to get the horses and cart."
She edged one of her toes down as she found the solid ground after the steps were done.
"Otherwise, yes... that is how it goes."

Celebor nodded. He was used to getting up early, but he wasn't used to getting up early for a major trip like the one he would be going on.
"It's been a while since I've been on a horse," he chuckled. "This is going to be interesting."
He followed Kara and Lin out of the barracks and into the night. The sun was far gone by now, and the moon was shining down on them - first quarter, so not very brightly. The stars on the other hand were quite bright indeed.

"What is it like on a horse?" Lin asked as they walked back to the Ranch house.
She of course had never been on a horse, even though she was now big enough to be on one. Lin had sort of forgotten that by now.

"Lin..." Kara giggled.
Of course she would ask something right as they got out.
Up ahead on the porch stood Miyu, her hair out of it's usual braid. Letting it down to nearly her ankles, which wasn't a surprise seeing how long Jaseth's hair was. She was of course looking at the stars, while she waited for her grandmother to return.

Celebor grinned at Lin. "Well, you're a child now," he chuckled. "Why don't you find out while I'm gone?"
He patted Lin's head fondly and grinned at her, then looked ahead to the house. There he spotted Miyu, her eyes turned towards the stars, and he waved, despite the fact that he had a feeling she wasn't looking in their direction at all.

Lin blinked, and thought about it. She hadn't realized that, well if that was the case then she was going to have to do something about that.
"Oh yea... well then I guess I'll have to ask," Lin replied.

Kara smiled fondly, "Don't forget you still have normal lessons..... though I guess some of it could be dropped for whatever else you're trying to learn. Honestly one of these days.."
She was sure Lin was going to overwork herself sooner or later. At least that was Kara's thought.
Miyu blinked a bit, looking up at the stars, she could hear the rustling of something getting close. Tearing her eyes away from the night sky she turned to her head to see the trio come closer.
"Mi!" she smiled brightly as she skittered down and latched onto the first body she could get her arms around, which happened to be Celebor.

Celebor chuckled and put one hand on Miyu's head. "Hello again," he smiled warmly at her. "I hope we didn't take too long. You're looking at the stars?"
He turned his own eyes up towards the sky. "They sure are beautiful here," he murmured.

Miyu nodded looking up at Celebor, it was kind of hard to believe he grew to be so tall. Then again she didn't mind so much, she didn't really get to play with Celebor much when he was a child.
"Yes, I was looking at the group of stars," she explained to him, "They're always so nice."

"Oh?" Celebor looked down at Miyu again, one eyebrow raised curiously. "Which group? There are quite a few here ..."
Though he had never been told what the different constellations were, he knew that there were a good amount of them. His nights in the Southland had been spent asleep, resting for the training that he would have the next day, and so he had never learned to know the stars.
