Hedoro

Hedoro had been expecting the finger strike, but it never came. Surprised, she whirled to try to take advantage of the move, lashing out with a crude kick to the seat of the pants. Hardly an elegant move, if it hit, it'd only help Bonnita get away faster. Rather obviously, it was nothing close to Hedoro's best, it was so far from it it should be obvious to everyone, Bonnita included. Without saying so in actual words, the 'attack' was really just an invitation for her to stop playing and come at her for real. This tentative sparring didn't pose a hazard to either of them, all it was doing was wasting both of their time. She pulled her leg back, returning to an apparantly unguarded stance, her arms loose at her sides as she weaved slightly back and forth. She could feel a faint vibration coming from underground, but didn't know what it was, or precisely where it was. She knew the vibrations weren't from Bonnita, they didn't feel like running vibrations. No, it felt like something was moving underground. But what was it? She better keep a finger on it, not forget about it if she could help it.

Hedoro was a little surprised at just how fast Bonnita had reacted to her taunt. Instead of avoiding the kick, Bonnita had turned around and caught it, squeezing her leg tightly. It didn't hurt, but it did serve as a decent distraction. Before she knew it, she felt the vibrations from underground near her and explode up out of the surface. A sextet of hands reached up and grabbed a hold of her, holding her in place. She wasn't sure if she could have escaped, as fast as they had moved she had only had an instant to react, and she'd missed it. There were still plenty of options she could take, however, so she wasn't too worried. She'd wait, see just what the situation developed into. Maybe there'd be some skills she could steal from Bonnita, another clan that would fuel her own abilities?

Hedoro was stuck fast, it seemed she'd have to show off one of her tricks to break out of is. As wrapped up in cloth, rags and bandages as she was, it wasn't possible to actually see Bonnita face to face, but her body language alone was enough to express an irritated glare. Speaking aloud, she cut off whatever her opponent was about to say by jumping in with her own technique's name. Nisemono Akimichi: Mayakashi Nikudan Sensha! She started to enlarge and turn spherical, her limbs expanding and retracting inside of her. That would almost certainly break everyone's grip on her, unless they were foolish enough to let their limbs be swallowed up inside of her.

Now in the form of a gigantic sphere, she rolled directly toward Bonnita. They were close enough that she hadn't been able to pick up much speed yet, so she wasn't expecting to actually hit her opponent. Instead, she planned to continue in a straight line while Bonnita dodged. After that she'd circle around and make a real attempt. Even while she was doing this, she spoke a little more, saying how she'd stolen this technique from the Akimichi clan. She said how she could steal any technique from any clan she wanted, and Bonnita was her next target. Of course what she said was pretty much a lie, but it could possibly distract her enough to score a hit on her.

As Hedoro rolled towards Bonnita, she saw rock forming around her like a thick armor. So, she was going to take the attack head on? Not very wise, she'd have to show her the error of her ways. As she rushed towards Bonnita, she prepared her little surprise. At almost the exact moment they'd hit, she spat out a glob of bluish substance. To continue the illusion of her technique thefts, she claimed she'd just used the Nisemono Kidoumaru: Mayahashi Sticky Gold technique. Of course it wasn't, it was something else entirely. She'd find out precisely what if she let it touch her. At the same time, her insides began shifting around, readying for another little surprise.

Hedoro saw her imitation Sticky Gold technique miss as Bonnita sank into the ground. Hmm, possibly the Underground Fish Projection technique, or something else. She assumed that Bonnita would wait a short time before trying to come up suddenly, attacking simultaneously. Well that gave her a moment to ready herself, she wasn't about to waste it. She could feel continued vibrations underground as the clones passed through the earth, but ignored them. She returned to her usual form, humanoid, and began making hand seals, one seal blurring into the next as she attempted to utilize a pair of techniques. First, she'd try to use 'A Maiden's Love is Pure', and if she had enough time she'd try to use Innerfire.

Hedoro had just finished the hand seals and activated Innerfire when she heard a muffled cry erupt from the ground as Bonnita emerged in front of her. At the same time numerous spikes erupted from behind her, apparantly trying to hold her in place for what would come next. She heard Bonnita shout Hell Viewing Technique, and knew that if she were to be trapped within that particular genjutsu, she'd be forced to see horrors of all kinds. It'd be much better to not be hit by the technique. As Bonnita's rock armor altered it's form into a wall of bricks, she did the same thing. She shrank down to the ground, slipping past the spikes, sliding through and around them flexibly. She was basically using the brick wall that Bonnita's armor had formed to hide behind and protect herself from the Genjutsu. If there was a rock wall between them, then there was no eye contact.

Hedoro saw Bonnita leap atop the brick wall and stare down at her, saying she was getting aggravated. Good, good, if she was being distracted by these antics, then there was a good chance she'd be distracted enough to not see the attack coming until it was too late. She saw the rock clones emerge from the ground, altering their spikes' trajectories and took the opportunity to slip fully free from them. No longer held back, she straightened up in time to be face to face with Bonnita. She saw that Bonnita was preparing for a punch of some kind, she wasn't worried if it was just a punch. While raising one of her own arms to mirror Bonnita's stance, she made a comment of her own, saying that mercy had no place here. Even while she was doing that, the alterations she was making to her interior were continuing, soon she'd be able to unveil her little surprise. But for the moment, she'd focus more on the punch. She watched the fist closely, ready to let it hit her if that was Bonnita's plan.

Hedoro continued to keep track of Bonnita's fist, and when she saw where she predicted it would land, she exuded a kunai, the same kunai that Bonnita had thrown at her at the beginning of the fight. She extended it at the same trajectory line of Bonnita's fingertips, if Bonnita kept the strike on target she'd only hurt herself. Just a fraction of a moment later, she lashed out with one of her hands, attempting to grab onto Bonnita's other arm. She had no recourse but to let herself fall under the genjutsu, but she tried to do all she could to keep her grip on Bonnita, if in fact she had grabbed her.

She had been exposed to all manner of horrors throughout her life, not like so many other pampered children who wanted to be a ninja. Death, disease, depression; suicide and murder, and everything else that was the dark side of society. She'd seen it, been part of it, been immersed in it. Because of that, she had grown up cold and strong in her solitude. Perhaps those same horrors of her youth would render her at least partially inured to the horrors of the Hell Viewing technique? After seeing something horrible so many times, it just became another facet of life. And she had certainly seen enough to make it seem like an everyday occurrence.
