((Ten-four, good buddy.))

Ganondorf growled. Running was inacceptable. There would be no mistake. With a motion that would've been casual if he weren't minorly frustrated, he released the ball of concentrated light towards the pair yet again, this time following up with a forward charge.

(XD)

There was no dodging this time, the energy was definitely going to hit if Link didn't do something. With nothing else at his disposal, Link held the Legendary bled out in front of him and swung. Upon contact with the ball, Link could feel the power to repel evil fill the blade and push the energy back towards it''s master.

(Can't beat the classics mrgreen )

Ganondorf raised an eyebrow. Here was something he hadn't expected. His attack had rebounded on him, mastered and returned by the Master Sword. The kid had nothing to do with it, but it probably would give him to to flee.

Ganondorf frowned, grabbing the ball out of the air and returning it, this time with more force than the first. Or at least trying.

He somehow missed, and his own attack plowed into his chest, sending him backwards to the tile. For a moment he was stunned, but then he was driven to a fury. Standing up rapidly, he looked around to see if the fools were still around.

((Nope. You can't. biggrin ))

The man seemed to be stunned after being hit by his own attack, but Link knew it wouldn't last long. He plowed his way through the doors and began his dash down the alleyways towards the Temple. Link could feel his heart pounding but knew that were he to stop, he may never have the chance to start again.

At last Link could see his horse in the abandoned area of the town. Once thee, Link immediately plunged the sword into the slot, praying he wouldn't miss. As he predicted, the door began to brightly shine, and suddenly swung wide open. Immediately, Link motioned for Zelda to enter then stared down at the sleeping teenager. "Come on Kid, wake up!" the blond pleaded then kicked the boy lightly.

Bowie opened his eyes to see a worried Link staring down at him, "Link you're..."

"No time for that, we've got to get inside!" Link yelled then grabbed onto Epona's reins, the last thing he wanted was for her to get barbecued in the cross fires. As soon as he saw the others were safely inside, Link lead the horse to the temple, and grabbed at the door.

Zelda shook her head, trying to clear it, then looked around, blue eyes wide. "It's beautiful," she whispered. Suddenly she turned to Link, pulling her hand out of his."You tackled me!"

Meanwhile, ((back at the ranch...)) back at the Temple of Time, the insects that had been buffeted aside by Gannondorf's attack began to grow, reaching the size of small dogs within a few seconds. Simultaneously, the ashes of each destroyed creature began to glow, forming into fifteen tiny insects per destroyed insect. As one, the glowing bugs turned toward Gannondorf again, buzzing menacingly.

((Just to explain the specifics of the spell, Zelda set it up so that although the inital energy required to generate the spell came from her, after the spell was finished it's products would feed off of their opponent's power and energy. Either they feed off of Gannondorf's energy, getting more and more dangerous every time he tries to destroy them, or he stops casting spells to starve them. Win, win.))
PostPosted: Thu Dec 06, 2007 4:14 pm

((So even the Triforce of Power can't crush them like the puny insects they are? 0.o Dang, man, that's messed up.

I hope you're going to say that yes, the Triforce can destroy them. Because if you don't, Ganondorf will get POed and then people will die and things will burn. It will be bad.))

Growling all the louder, Ganondorf again became aware of the insects charging him. Driving them away with his aura yet again, he dashed out after his foes, only a few yards behind Link and Zelda but never with a chance to attack again. Energy was coursing all the louder through his body. His thoughts were becoming blurry, sort of like when the Triforce first awakened. Ganondorf was losing control again. He stopped suddenly, taking a deep breath and clearing his mind, only to become aware of the insects again. Managing to keep his cool, he thought quickly and created an orb of energy, within which the irritating things were contained. It would last long enough for Ganondorf to take care of business. Then he could figure out what to do about those darned things.

Back after the duo he marched, ignoring the growing strain of keeping the insects under control. That would last. It still felt like holding a three-pound weight or something like that, but he could keep them back for a long time. His power was nigh upon infinite.

He'd lost his foes. There was a simple answer to that. Search for the Triforce. Zelda would have it, if Ganondorf had inherited it. The Triforce would know its own, as long as the Princess did nothing to mask it. Sheik had proven that, and Ganondorf would not fall victim to a trick like that.

Lack of knowledge of how to search for the other Triforces was non-worry-ing; his desire simply occurred. Shortly he would locate them and teleport again. This was kinda nice. Maybe unnecessarily easy, but nice.

((Actually, no, his triforce wouldn't be able to hurt them, since they're running on its power. There is a downside, though. Sooner or later (the way they're going, sooner rather than later), they won't be running on Zelda's power at all; she'll lose control of the spell, and they'll dissipate. ^-^ Sorry about the trickiness of the spell. She doesn't have the raw power Gannon has, so she makes... clever spells, I guess.))

The insects buzzed around for a bit, then landed on the walls of the bauble imprisoning them. Slowly but surely, they began pulling energy directly out of the shield itself.

(Don't forget Gannon, they'll be no monsters in the temple unless you summon them mrgreen so right now, Link's job is really easy. btw, rule of the triforce, holders can only sense one another when they are nearby )

"STOP!" Arryl crowed, regaining her footing quickly. "I don't suppose you want to see her alive again?" A wicked grin had spread across Arryl's face. "Nothing will come of it if you just let her go. I knew you wouldn't just let me ride off with her, but she's going up the hill anyway. She'll be safe if you don't make any stupid moves. Deal?" Arryl quizzed, adding an extra degree of nasty smirk.

"Gustaf, just let it go! I'll be fine, you know me!" Sofia screeched, trying to keep her neck away from Arryl's rapier. Gustaf stared at her for a moment, then curled up. Sofia's face went completely white, then regained its colour as the elder goron rolled past them and into the cave. Vladimir stood for a moment, uncertain.

"Vladie, I'll be fine," Sofia pleaded, noting the look on Arryl's face. Seeming to decide, Vladimir took one last glare at Arryl and spoke.

"If we find that you hurt her, I will find you," he growled before hearing a call from inside the cave.

"COMING!" he yelled in, rolling inside. Sofia blinked back tears as she spoke to her captor.

"They're gone. Do what you want with me, a goron never breaks his promise," she said, unwillingly snarling at the end of her sentence.

Inside the cave, Gustaf found Vladimir and spoke to him.

"Son, keep watch on the entrance of the cave. Don't let her see you. Tell me when that wench leaves with Sofia. We'll beat them to the top of the mountain and catch her off guard. Sofia knows we will do something like that, that's why she told us to let her go. We won't let that wench take our sister," he growled lowly, glaring towards the entrance of the cave. Vladimir nodded and headed back to where he could spy but not be seen.

((Yes, Gustaf is going to make it very, VERY hard for Arryl)

((Ahh, but Arryl has an unbeatable trump card. Sofia.))

Grinning still, Arryl began to usher Sofia up the mountain, never letting the rapier leave her capture's neck. "Now listen. I don't want to have any nasty games going on, and I want a degree of trust. I want one simple task from you, and then I'll have done. We just need to go to the Temple of Fire and take care of this problem. If you fail to comply, though, I'm afraid I'll have to kill you, which is non-beneficiary for both of us. So come quietly, please. Deal?"

Ganondorf charged forward. It hadn't worked. He didn't know where they were. What they were doing. He needed spies, soldiers, anything.

Soldiers. No, not soldiers. Monsters. Beasts to serve his purpose. Something mindlessly obedient, and unafraid to kill anything that moved.

The Triforce of Power had just what he needed. Again he exercised his increasingly all-powerful will. He didn't know what he was doing. He was searching, looking confidently for something he knew would be there. He couldn't say what it was, but he could feel it, somewhere else now but growing closer. Gathering. Preparing.

The beasts he had wanted suddenly started appearing. Harmless creatures violently transformed, possessed by foul spirits from aways. Dangerous creatures grew aggressive. The Temples almost instantly corrupted, broke; their passageways shifted, changed, and ceased from any simplicity they might have ever had.

The Temples were now puzzles and obstacles, even as they had been once before. Ganondorf's will was served. His Gerudos would succeed, but the hero would fail. His victory was sealed already.

Confident in his ability, he didn't even stop to think that the same thing had happened before...

Bowie looked around, and whispered, "Wow... big... and grand... is... Gus in here...?" He quickly looked for a way onward, but, soon stopped... "Br... I... just... had this feeling of dread..." He said, looking back at the two...

After a few more attempts at the sword, Gustave sat on the floor. "Hm... I wonder... what IS this sword...?" As soon as he said that, the sword shone brightly, then, slowly glimmered back to normal... "What... was that about...?"

Something dark suddenly seemed to come over the temple. Though Link couldn't put his finger on it, he could tell there was something different about the room. "Apparently, but we still have to get to him," Link commented, staring at the lock on the door in front of them. His blue eyes began to scan the room around them and suddenly spotted something silver in the corner and went over to pick it up.

Just as soon as he was about to pick it up, 2 Red Chuu Chuus sprung out from the ground (Hey, they're squishy)! One of them went for Link, and the other went for... Zelda!

"Ahh!" Bowie quickly screamed, and started to quiver in fear... When he noticed the second one... "I... gotta save her..." He quickly took out Gus's sword, and ran between the Chuu Chuu and Zelda, and quickly cut his sword into it... And, it seemed to get stuck... "E-eeew..." He quickly moaned, and brought his sword all the way through it...

As Link wrapped his hand around the key, a red blob deemed to hop towards him, it's tongue hanging out hungrily as it stared at him. But the thing was slow, and so, Link figured he could defeat it easily. He held out the master sword and as soon as the beast jumped at him, he swung, slicing the ooze in two. It's remains seemed to seep into the ground, and as it disappeared, the vapors it gave off seemed to have a slightly rejuvenating affect on the boy, recovering him slightly from his battle with Gannon.

Link looked over at his companions and could see that the other was vanquished as well, "Are you guys alright?"

"Grossed out..." Bowie said, holding the sword somewhat limply, "But... I'm fine..." He looked at Link, and said, "Hey, Link, what did you find, anyway?"
