Nina was silent for a few moments. Her ears picked up a very faint sound. It seemed to be coming toward the city. Flareon barked.

"Kasiya," she said, "do you... hear something?"

The helicopter landed in the middle of the city. Kilik got out of it, placing the headset back into the seat. Koffing floated out next to his owner. The copter left, the gust of wind caused by the blades ruffled his hair and made his trenchcoat whip in the wind. Soon enough, it was gone. Slowly, the boy headed down the path and turned onto the street that Silph had its entrance. He stood before the door, looking up at it. He gulped, his Adam's Apple lurching upward. The boy clenched his fist. "To the top..." he said, walking forward and into the lobby.

"Let's go, team!" Jaeshan said, jumping to his feet. He recalled Nidorino, who had a big smirk on his face, and sent the other two ahead. Butterfree flew high overhead, staying out of view, while Mightyena darted to the side, also staying out of view. He crept along in the shadows, his tail flicking with anticipation. As he reached the guardpost, he stopped and watched the guard, who seemed to be bored out of his mind. Mightyena chose the right moment, and jumped out at him, snarling and snapping his jaws. Startled, the guard jumped back, pulling out his tonfa and waving in and shouting at the fierce-looking Pokemon. During the distraction, Jaeshan ran up to the side of the gate, keeping out of view, as Mightyena continued to pretend to attack. He signalled up to Butterfree, who did a graceful descent and used Flash in close proximity of the guard's face. He cried out, blinded, as Jaeshan recalled Mightyena and made a mad dash through the gate. Butterfree casually flitted up and over the top, and they disappeared inside Saffron City.

The boy looked at the lady behind the counter. She looked completely oblivious to his existance. He walked over to the elevator and hit the Up button, stepping inside. Koffing sat on the floor, knowing full well it couldn't float inside the elevator. The boy examined the buttons. None of them said 'roof'. He said, clicked the '10' and went up to the former President's office. The elevator doors slid open and Kilik exited, Koffing floating back up. He climbed another staircase and appeared on the roof of the Silph Corporation building. He approached the edge and looked down. He gulped and then looked around at the city. Something caught his eye: a megaphone. Giovanni must have had it placed there, knowing full well that Kilik would obey him. The boy picked it up and pressed the button, releasing the sound of a loud siren. He placed it near his lips.

"Ladies and gentlemen of Saffron City!!" he called through the megaphone, "May I have your attention please?" the gusts of the high altitude whipped his jacket and hair. A few people down below looked up, thinking he was going to commit suicide due to how close to the edge he was.

Nina had just reached Silph's front door when she noticed Bitey and Shocker flying toward her. She opened the doors and allowed them in before entering herself, and she heard Kilik's voice because of the megaphone.

"He must be on the roof!" Nina yelled, and darted toward the elevator. She entered it with all of her Pokemon plus Kasiya's, and pushed the 10 button, since there was no elevator access for the roof.

As she and the Pokemon ascended, she looked to Shocker and asked, "Is Kasiya coming? Is she alright?" Shocker chatted on, and Anna translated it as "Yes. However, she sent us to catch up with you and make sure that you didn't have to face Kilik by yourself."

"I just hope she's here soon..." Nina said, worried.

Kilik smirked. He released the Persian from its ball. The cat Pokemon purred elgantly. "Now then...Saffron City!" he barked, the megaphone squealing slightly, "I hereby deem this building in the name of Team Rocket!" he stamped his foot and looked triumphant. Koffing laughed and the Persian brushed against the boy's leg. The people down below began to scream.

"Not Team Rocket!"

"Hide the children!"

The boy began to laugh heartily through the microphone, and he then slowed it down to a regular chuckle. "Soon, my Boss will be here with thousands of Rocket members, ready to take all of your Pokemon! Try all you want," he said, looking down. Some of the trainers of the city had raised their Pokeballs, "But you cannot stop Team Rocket. You cannot stop pure power..." his eyes scanned the ground, and he held the megaphone to his side. He lifted it up to his mouth, "Soon, Kanto itself will be ruled by Team Rocket!" the boy put the megaphone back to his side and laughed into the sky.

Kilik heard the voice of the girl behind him. He turned around, jumping from where he stood onto the roof's smooth top. The Persian hissed loudly, the fur on its back standing up and spit coming from its mouth. "Nina...how nice of you to join us," Kilik said cooly, scratching the Persian behind the ears.

Kilik blinked when the new girl and boy entered the area. "I see we brought friends..." he smirked, changing his position. The wind whipped up, causing his hair to ruffle and his coat to flair once more. His hand moved slowly to his pocket, where the box was held.
