<BURN EVERYTHING!! It's the most efficient way and it'll force them out!> Gurul continued to insist.
"Attack civilians so they have to stop us," Sindhlot suggested casually.

long time before Star Wars was even conceived, bud.>
"Hey, someone in charge- bad things are very close to happening, fairly close by, and I'm guessing from the direction of Legion's people; is there anything can be done?" He finally noticed the girl on the ground and helped her up. "Hey, who are you? Do you know what's going on?"

"It's all the way near where we were - I think it's just echoing through the door. Feels like the fire-fetish guy," Alan commented. "We're a good hour or so away from them now at the least. "I think if our friends out there go crazy looking for Kayla, Josh can wipe 'em out. If that happens, the techs will watch you with Linda and I'll drag Kayla over."
Linda introduced herself when Alan was done. "I'm Linda. Arturo says hello to Keldan. Uh, yeah, that's about it."

"Does anyone here currently have a car? No?" She paused, and experienced an extremely unsettling feeling. She was pretty sure that s**t was about to go down. "Bad for the atmosphere anyway. And public transportation is out, team doomsday has no problem offing civilians. We could..." She trailed off a moment. "If you would cover me, I might be able to recruit a teleportation-type demon, at least for a few hours. I'd need chocolate, and at least twenty minutes. The chocolate bacause most young male demons are suckers for the stuff, and the twenty minutes because these things take time."

"I'd prefer to avoid that; Legion could probably trace it. I think there's a safehouse with a car nearby... but it's in the direction of Legion's warlocks," Josh commented. "If you think it'd be safe, we can go for it."

"Now, does this 'wiping out' entail actual killing, or just convenient incapacitation?" He admitted that last grudgingly.
"Well, hi back. What brings you to this fine institution?" Siber wished he could be at the scene of the action, but these guys seemed to have a system. Instead, he could try to learn something about how the techies worked through watching and gather information on the girl.

Joe glanced up. "I agree with Sindhlot."
Joe flushed. "Well, not with lethal force," he said, to Roland as well as the others. "Just...if we draw them out, then this'll be a lot less complicated. We've been here too long as it is."

Arturo dictated to her.
"Uh, I'm here because I got Arturo to agree that if someone was fighting against the psycho mass murder, uh, Legion that is, we would join them," Linda said. "And Arturo is excited by the idea of being with a group strong enough to fight, maybe even defeat, Legion," she added. "So what do you think of all this, so far? I'm having a little trouble adjusting. It just seems so unreal."
~~
"Why bother restraining ourselves?" commented Sindhlot. "It's easier to just kill a couple. The Hunters will come running the moment a bystander is dead." He sounding utterly disinterested with whether or not the civilians actually died - he was only concerned with the convenience of the task at hand. It was a little disconcerting.

Samuel's eyes lit up as he let Gurul's personality leak in. "Sounds fun." His fingers began to twitch and his grin was a bit sadistic. "Lets have some fun, IGurul think it would be nice to get into the spirit of things again."
He stood up and flames danced at the tips of his fingers as his eyes searched the streets for a civilian target. "Well, IGurul think that will do!" His eyes were bright as he let off a chain of fireballs into a large school, its wooden sides going up in flames like kindling as the warlock laughed sadistically, raining fire on the building like a crazed arsonist with an assault rifle full of incendiary rounds.

Josh's eyes suddenly unfocused.
"Those bastards. Those sick little bastards. They're killing civilians. Those bastards!" Josh muttered. He gave quick directions to Kayla and Paul, instructing them to enter a safehouse nearby. A driver would be by to pick them up as soon as possible, he informed them.
"They are going down," Josh growled, sprinting down the street towards the destination. How could he possibly get there in time, though?

He felt the Manipura released like a firestorm and almost heard a maniacal cackle. Siber felt Keldan inhabit a strange peace within him.
Immediately, Siber felt his arms stretch out to either side of his body and he looked up with his eyes closed, his body completely calm. He was hesitant to use Anahata, and he didn't know how Keldan planned on stopping the maelstrom. He had never been gripped like this before. Keldan was kept barely at bay as Siber worked to mute the murmured incantation. Why had he said, "little Gurul?" "Alan! Alan, can I let Keldan do this? He's taking over me!" Besides, he could feel his own Manipura rising like an eagle's crest against the release he was witnessing. It would feel good to let go... A corner of his mind, reserved for controlling outbursts, held a solid grip on him, but it would be easy to shed if he was permitted to do what he wanted without fear of retribution.

"What, you expect us to make a run for it while the foe starts killing? Man, this is what I've been waiting for!" To some degree, it was true; history repeats itself, so on. Then again, Paul really hadn't counted on them taking risks so fast.
is early along for them to be doing stuff like this. Perhaps trap?> What isn't? Anyhow, I'd prefer to do something rather than run...

"All right, then, just make sure you keep up!" Josh answered. "Kayla, get moving!"
~~
Alan observed Siber dispassionately. "It looks like being yanked to and from crossover imbalanced your control over your body," he observed. "You should be fine after."
Linda, on the other hand, was simply staring in shock.

Kayla hesitated for a moment, torn between her two possible courses of action. urged Vassily, and she complied, her mind loosening as she ran. By now, billowing smoke was visible over the roofline. She paused and took a moment to slip completley into her trance state. Three minutes later, she had channeled Puglith and was covered in red scales, sprinting down the street. She wasn't much faster than she had been, but she could keep that fast pace without flagging at all. After a while, she changed tacks and easily scaled a fire escape, leaping from rooftop to rooftop, sometimes just barely making the gaps over streets, letting her run straight to the school without having to deal with turning corners. Her panic ratcheted up a few notches once she could actually smell smoke and hear screams. She had reached the school ahead of Josh, and could hear firetrucks getting closer. There was a steady swarm of terrified children and teachers She shrank back, out of view for now, and channeled Silk, the old messenger who now owned her socks. She used him to send a message, and only one because that's all the old demon could do, to Josh. The thought spontaneously entered his head, in Kayla's voice, "I'm on the rooftops, waiting for the perfect moment." The last word was fuzzy, as Silk's power was dull and underused. After the messege was sent, she brought Puglith back, more quickly this time since he was just waiting in the wings rather than all the way back in Hell.

With a roar, Siber unleashed the dæmon of Anahata. Keldan quickly grew concerned.
Siber was kneeling on the ground, heaving from the effort.
He did, and his jaw dropped. The power that had been released however far away was now in a tightly contained box. Fires had quenched themselves. Falling debris had halted in midair and was drifting slowly to the ground. Burnt flesh was even beginning to heal. In the middle of it all, a foot-long purple dragonfly buzzed contentedly around the street, seeing to all it had done. Siber was begging with him. He let the dæmon phase out of this plane, which allowed all the suspended chunks of building and whatever else to finish dropping to the ground, albeit with significantly less force than before, and the extinguished fires couldn't exactly rekindle themselves. Gurul was freed again, but the momentum had been stopped, and that was what was important. Siber collapsed, panting and weak, but conscious.
