Dare she say she found it amusing that Kelligrin knew that this was indeed exploitation of sorts. Not that he seemed to mind either. "You need two souls, one live body, and minimal to no audience. Then you just get a necromancer to painfully force souls in and out and you're done." Of course there came the side effects of being in a new body you had no idea how it worked but that was another matter entirely as far as she was concerned. Savryn's job wasn't to help people out of their training wheels. "As for the price...I'll call it severely steep and leave it at that." Crossing her arms. "Then again, why am I mentioning it? You don't seem too keen on taking me up on the offer."

"what makes you think that?"
tail lashing a bit though careful not to hit anything, lowering her head right down by Savvy, close enough that id savvy could see she'd probably have an interesting view of the inside of her mouth.
"Do you think that this...transfer could work on the star eyes? and lets say I wanted to put him back in a sleek, silver or golden body. how would you propose to accomplish that?"

Kelligrin snorted, "What a clever girl you are, Desdemona. Always standing back and looking for the prime opportunity. You'll do anything to be top of the pack, won't you? Even if you know you'll always be second in command." A shake of his head. "You might as well wipe that thought right out of that horned head of yours. The Laerethe don't have souls." He leaned casually against the wall and glanced over at Savryn with a smirk. "Don't you worry about the body. We'll take care of that. Besides, the mystery is half the fun. You didn't mind a human and just about anything is a step up from that...except maybe a sand worm."

"Call it a sixth sense...or whatever number I'm on now." Shrugging lightly and stilling her steps. "If it has a soul, that soul can be popped." That got a sharp look to Kelligrin's direction...the way he was speaking was as if he was trying to get in on this deal as well. She just didn't know his angle. "Any body will do. Whatever you wanted to stuff him in, he'd just have to get used to it." Which got a smirk from her, "Which is usually highly amusing."

she swatted her tail dangerously close to the head of Kelligrin...and looked between both elves.
"Hoe much to put your male elf in a small, easily squishable form?"
before snarling lightly.
"I care to the manner of body. I don't want to agree to this and have you extort some obscene price and get something less then desirable."
Oh yes, Desdemona was fully aware that Kelligrin at the least, was going to trying and extort her...or at least he'd try to pull harder on it then the necromancer probably would.
Drifter was on the battlements again, sending her reports. still, the force that was plaguing this city had not deemed to touch them..but they also knew that the ships had gone into the areas that only dragons had ever tread. none of them knew what was out there. But the time of the pirate's leading the city was coming to a close. Fang was known again...and was at present working his way around the Glass Sea. Some obsessions apparently never die.
Fang was at the helm of his ship, watching the sands adn the skies, and keeping his crew in check most harshly...Gem was so close. so close he could taste her blood. but she had a smaller ship...the Serpent was far to large to navigate the Glass Sea. So he was taking the way around, keeping his own counsel on the information all the pirate lords were privy to, on the location of thier peers.
As far as he knew, Captain Deacon was dead. that meant Desdemona or Richards had the Chimera. He was hoping it was Richards. Desdemona shared Hunter's defiant and troublesome cunning...taking risks that most wouldn't because the payoff was so large. Richard was less likely..and that made the Chimera less dangerous.
but Gem...he'd burned her ship before, he'd do it again. and this time she wouldn't get away.

She held up a hand to stop the protest that she knew was going to come from Kelligrin...well, protest or smart a** comment that was. "Don't waste your breath Kelligrin." Letting her eyes turn back to Des. "Firstly...he's not mine. Secondly fair enough. You can have the task of picking whatever body you want to put him in. I don't care. But I'll give you one warning. Soul's are tempermental and do not like moving in or out of new houses sometimes." Smirking with a little grin, "Though here comes the moral delimma I suppose. Do you have the audacity in you to end someone else's life who has done nothing wrong, to grant back another life?"
Giving a little almost sinister chuckle before turning a look back over into Kelligrin's general direction, save her eyes didn't connect to him when she did. As for price, well I'm curious. "Kelligrin, what would you say is the going rate of a soul to soul exchange on this plane?"

Desdemona's comment only elicited the strengthening of his smirk. He knew she thought he was out to trick her or force her to pay more than it was worth but that wasn't Kelligrin's intention at all. He was planning on setting Desdemona up with a really nice body and a dragon at that and he'd even had someone in mind. But, if she wanted to pick then so be it. Savvy questioning him was interesting, though. "Gold and precious gems seems to be the wealth of choice on this plane but you can get those in exchange for something else. Two dragon scales. The little golds would be worth more but yours will do nicely, Desdemona. They'll sell for a pretty penny and cause you the pain you deserve for having a soul transfer completed for your own selfish reasons."

"no such thing as someone that has done nothing."
snorting lightly, before turning her attention to Kelligrin, with a narrowing of eyes.
"Two of my scales, and you think I would hand them over to an assassin or whatever the hell you are and a necromancer? what would be the point of getting hunter back if you'll probably just do something to tear us apart again."
snorting lightly while looking between them both.

"I suppose you're right...everyone has done something wrong. But would any choice of yours have ever done something personally to you? And if that would be the justifying fact, could you stand to look at that body everyday?" But a wave of her hand in dismissive fashion. "However, none of that matters." Though she did narrow her eyes, clouded over gold and silver looking directly to Des' own.
"Do not slight me by presuming that I would even care to dabble any further in your life. If you think I am one to go around tearing apart happy couples and fairytales and so on and so forth, then you are severly thinking in a misguided direction." And well, if Savryn felt too slighted she would just take her endeavours elsewhere. Clicking her tongue against her teeth then, "Shame on you. I have no care for what you all do afterward unless it involves me. Like say our dear captain Deacon trying to eat me afterwards. Then no, I will not hesitate to insinerate him where he stands. Otherwise... go jump off a cliff together for all I care."
Crossing her arms in defensive posturing that matched her attitude. "However...I think it's a fair price. Take it or leave it." If she got along with Kelligrin in any respect it would indeed be that they had an understanding of the trade they were both partly in, as well as respected it.

"I'm just an elf passing through. Is there a reason you need to label everything?" He continued to casually lean against the wall as if he had nothing invested in this deal. And he really didn't if Desdemona wasn't going to let him pick the body. "I could care less if he's in a dragon form and you two mate until you're pregnant and become a happy family. Savryn deserves the money your scales will bring and you deserve pain. Besides, I didn't try to tear you apart the first time."

"That's precisely my point. if it was to give you scales to keep, that's one thing. scales to sell puts me in danger from sources outside my vicinity and chance to defend myself. I don't have any desire to be prodded by some arcane vodoo doll nor bound into some one else's service that I've never seen before from across a planar boundary because I reclaimed something that never should have been taken from me in the first place by that star eyed little b***h."
snorting lightly.

And Savvy just rolled her eyes and gave a dismissive gesture. "You sure you're a dragon? You seem a bit stupid for one. Do you think I'm stupid enough myself to blatantly sell dragon scales?" Making a disgusted noise. "Besides, how do you know if I'm going to sell them or not? Dragon scales are wonderful. But obviously, like I said you must not want this whole thing anyway, otherwise you'd be keen to giving up anything I asked the first time I asked without question. That's what love makes you do...anything you have to without question. What is life without a little sacrifice of self, yes? But it seems we're done discussing this prospect of your 'beloved' pirate." And seemingly turning her attention completely away from Des then, and to the carvings on the walls, running her fingers over them again. "Come here and let me stand on you Kelligrin."

Desdemona picked Savvy up by her tunic
"No, we're not done. I'm just not so blind as some of the others you've obviously dealt with. You've offering my hunter back, in a dragon's body, even claiming you can get a gold or a silver...oh, and not a child either, before that thought crosses your friends devious little mind...and you want two of my scales for it. is that the deal your offering?"

Kelligrin wasn't casually leaning against the wall any longer and it took every inch of his willpower to keep from flinging the knife and lopping off Desdemona's head. And if she thought her scales would save her, she was sadly mistaken. His knife was specially designed to take out difficult armor. Instead, he easily launched himself onto Des's back, holding the blade at her throat. "Put her down. You need to understand something, Desdemona. Anyone who orders a soul exchange must suffer in some way. Those are the rules of the transfer. You make the choice, you pay the price, and you live with the consequences. I'm also appalled you think I would end a child's life for your own selfish gratification."

"Yes that is the deal." Of course while not entirely aware of what Kelligrin was doing, she knew that he was doing something or other. She did know that she did not like being held up like this as she couldn't feel the ground and that kind of freaked her out. "You're making this a lot harder than it ever needs to be with your paranoia."
