The sun was sinking fast, and night was blanketing Tar Valon. Sitting in a chair next to Alina, Mairyela was deep in thought. Alina, Romvian, the weather, the relief effort in the city...she could barely keep track of all the things that were running through her mind. An hour beforehand, she had asked tea to be brought up for herself, Kakashi and Hurein. Now barely lukewarm, it was only making her tired, which didn't help her wandering imagination. Taking one last look at the sleeping Yellow, she stood. "Hurein, I must go. I've been neglecting my duties today, and no doubt there is work I still have to do."

The Yellow nodded. "Alina here will be fine with me. I have been instructed to watch over her until she awakens."

Mairyela nodded. She then looked over towards Kakashi. "I know this has to be hard on you, but try not to worry too much. We'll get to the bottom of this soon." With a nod, she left the room and it's occupants for the night.

The walk back to her office was slower than she would have liked. Maybe it was the creeping night that seemed so daunting, or the fact that someone was pulling the strings on the Tower, and it was no Aes Sedai. Shaking her head, she thought There are other things to worry about right now. One thing at a time.

Reaching her office, she opened the door, then stopped. It hadn't been the lack of papers on her desk that had her surprised, but the heavy scent that was wafting through the room. She rubbed her nose at the smell. "Smells like...apple cider." That's when her eyes caught something white laying on the ground. bending down, she retrieved what looked like a letter, though it wasn't signed or sealed. The ends were bent slightly, and there were dark yellow stains on the parchment. She had to smile. No doubt from an initiate, she thought. Opening the letter, she took note of the writing. It was in a smooth and graceful hand, which suprised her slightly. The stains tell me she was writing this during dinner, but it's in no way hurried. Maybe an Accepted? She shook her head. She was looking way too deeply into things nowadays. Ignoring the hand, and lighting a candle on her desk, she satand read it.

The letter was long, but by the time she had read it over nearly three times, the wax candle had barely started to melt. She couldn't believe what she was reading. "This could be it!" she thought aloud. The part involving the nightmares bothered her, but the recipes certainly overshadowed them. "If we could regain Tel'aran'rhiod..." she thought of the possibilities.

Then she threw on the brakes. Suspicion suddenly clouded her mind. "If any Accepted could get a hold of this information, certainly the Brown's would have known about this...in any case, the Keeper and Amyrlin must read this!" Nithout even bothering to lock the office behind her, Mairyela rushed down the hall, determined to find the Keeper.

Dupre stops walking after feeling fear and surprise jolt through the bond and then just as rapidly disappear. He wonders to himself what must be going on with Alina. He tries to let the thought go and concentrate on the void again but having a lot more difficulty now than before as if feels like his guts is trying to eat it self. He puts in all his effort just to start walking again. He knew if he didn't have something to eat or drink by tonight or tomorrow morning he would die as it is already his fifth or sixth day with out any substance in his gut.

"Well, I'm not sure where you think youd be going off to, but it's not going to happen tonight! You must rest, girl! On the other hand..." Embracing saidar, she Delved into Alina to check her body for trauma. She seemed perfectly fine, which brought a frown to her face. "...there has been a lot of odd happenings going on around here of late. In any case, you're in no state to be hurrying about." That said, she Cleansed the Yellow sister, then pushed her back into bed. "You haven't had anything to eat all day. I'll have food and some spiced cider brought to you." Turning to the door, she poked her head out the door and called to a young novice down the hall. The girl scampered away at once.

Alina waved her hand in a dismissive manner. She knew Kakashi was almost done. "Yes i had taken Dupre when i was newly Accepted. The Keeper and the Amyrilin both know this already. Dupre was lost to me..." She hesitated, but this was her Head, she must know. Turning to look at the other Yellow she clutched the Cloak to her chest. "He had been turned Darkfriend by a cicle of 13, agianst his will. He...his sister was taken...and...its a long story. He disiappered from my mind shortly before i was raised...but...." she looked North, as if she could see him. "He has come back.." she whispered. "he needs me, i don't want to lose him agian..." she trembled, Aes Sedai calm be burned. "I must not lose him agian! there is NO rule that says only Greens can have two Warders, NO RULE! its just a custom! I wont let him, or Kakashi be taken from me!" She glared definance. She knew that she shouldnt, she knew that if this woman chose to take them away she would have to meekly accept. but she wouldnt let them. "no! i must go to him! i must..." what she must do...she would figure out.

Hurein could only watch as Alina trembled and told her tale. She could only imagine how the girl felt at the moment, knowing someone she thought lost had returned. It turned her gut like a knife. She also knew there was also nothing she could do to stop the girl once she had made up her mind. The woman was stronger in the Power than herself, and that demanded respect.

At the mention of the Darkfriends, she frowned. Even as Alina glared at her, her mind was elsewhere. "You realise that this man may be a risk to the Tower? We cannot predict what has happened to make him return, but it is risky. When you go to meet him take your Warder, and other sisters you trust. If he was turned a Darkfriend, and your bond was closed, there's no telling if he still is under their control." She hoped the woman would take her words seriously in her current state. "Being too forward can be dangerous. You have to calm down first, then start planning. I have to report your well-being to the Head." With a last glance at the trembling Sister, she left the room, mind in a swirl.
