No she was not liking this place, it creeped her out and her tail kept brushing against things. Though she did, stumble a moment and vaulted herself forward with the motion scrambling to keep hold of that compass for a few seconds before it finally settled between her hands and she regained her balance. Not a good time to be all off balance. Though his answer made her frown...she did not want to be digging things up. It just seemed...wrong. But keeping an eye on the compass as she walked ahead of him, she stopped...and walked a bit to the left, then back to the right, then in a circle as he eyes kept on the compass. "I think..." Completing another circle of walking. "It's right here...somewhere." Turning her eyes down to the somewhat luminescent ground before moving the compass some and watch the needle inch and stop, inch and stop. "Start checking around things."

Logan sighed as he began his own search in the bone yard. It was creepy being in a place such as one used for when dragons pass on, but if a shard was in among the bones then they would find it. "I'm guessing it's close by hm?" He said that to the Commander and Jae when he saw them, he then continued his search as his eyes darted back and forth looking to see if anything resembled a shard.

"Feelings are not what they have. Gods do not care what mortals feel, how mortals react. Gods are concerned about their own agendas. There is nothing to be taken from her. She does not feel pain in the same ways that you do nor does she require the same things you do to survive. She has no lover, only a companion. Love means nothing."
"You have gone beyond living with humanity, Desdemona. You have sullied your clan's reputation by taking up with a human. Humans are not meant to be with us for good reason. Lycear rules over the human-kind and all of the city with a fair and guiding hand. He is one of many. You are one of few. The only who would give yourself to a human...and your scales. That sacred rite reserved for dragon mates alone. Your mate is out there. You never found him."
"I fear for your safety, Vryn. For you getting hurt or finding yourself in a situation that is above even your means to handle." Sticking close by her side, his hand went to his trusty daggers reflexively. "I see only a pile of bones, but I sense something much more sinister. There's what looks to be a temple further ahead that has some kind of light blue aura around it. Perhaps that's what you're sensing?"
Do not, at all costs, make the ghosts sad. That was the key to this game, the way to make sure they could all win. Gesturing to her brother, she pointed to another spot. "Make it go there."

"That's an interesting fear. Rather specific. Are you sure you're not stalking me at the request of others?" She still didn't believe that his good intentions were all his own. It just felt like they didn't have enough personal history for him to feel that way. Nodding lightly to what he described though. "It's always a temple. Do you know why most races erect temples and grand things to the dead? Because they fear death so much...whatever their reason may be. They fear unpleased spirits coming to haunt them, they fear death itself, they fear forgetting those that have past. Like without something to remember them by they forget. Truth is....if they forget then they were never close to that person anyway. Memories are hardly forgotten, just tucked away." Shaking her head, "The dead rarely ask for grand things. Why stick to a world so stifling when one can find freedom that has no words to describe it." Necromancer tangent, but a beautiful one or so she thought. A light sigh, "Come along, let's go play."
Watching as daddy wandered off once more he looked to his sister and then nodded lightly. Taking hold of the string, he pulled the little serpent around, practicing winding it around things as carefully as possibly but not too slow. "We forgot to ask how to know when the people are gone."

"Hunter Deacon was more kind, more supportive, and helped me when no dragon would. I didn't see any dragons on the atoll my sister and i were at trying to stop the tavern owner from turning us into whores. I didn't see them lift a claw to stop them from beating or starving us if we were 'bad'. Hunter may have been born a human, but he had a dragon's heart. his wish for freedom, his charm...even his covetous and jealous guarding of what was his."
She shook her head, and lowered her wings around her.
"A dragon was not born for me. or if he was, he was probably slaughtered along with the rest of our clan. and only once did deacon ever look upon me with anything but understanding nad compassion...and he locked me away, but didn't leave me to die. he came to me, cared for me, even if at the time he felt he coudl not trust me."

((Sorry for the delay everyone))
Sibrar had listened to the other two exchange there words silently, a sly smile as the comments about the one male trying to protect the necromancer. It was obvious from her body language that Savryn did not trust the other's intentions.
Sibrar had known both of them for a very short time, so he could not pass judgement as to what was going on in there minds. "One could argue that there is safety in numbers." he said with his eyes closed, he found that when he closed his eyes he had slightly better hearing, but that wasn't an extraordinary thing.
He smiled at Savryn's comment about going to play. "This should be interesting."

"Most fear the unknown, Vryn, and that's what death truly is. Only those that have been there can make it into the known but most have no way of contacting them and asking about the Unknown. I think it's better that way. Death is one more grand adventure in the thread of Life." He listened for another moment and then reached over and squeezed her hand. "Not forgotten until the last that remembers joins them. Eventually we all do fade away from memories because we were never there in the first place. But you're right, those who truly love us can't forget about us. Just not possible." He followed along after her, keeping an eye out because something was off. Sibrar's comment made his lips twitch, "Only when you can trust the numbers you have. Sometimes it's safer to be alone." And still...there was something in here... "Are we going to the temple then?"
"Umm...I think the houses will stop shaking." Nodding to that as she reached out and pointed to one of the many piles that was getting ready to collapse. "If ghosts are sad, aren't they making noises and stuff?"
"Enough of this! You've brought your complaint and we've given you our answer. No, we will not help you in your desire to harm those you should be reverent before. Examine yourself deeply, Desdemona. A dragon who gives herself away can never get herself back."
"I have already told you that another clan was sent to help you. You were taken to an atoll for safety. If the life was not what you wanted, you should have left and found the dragons once more. Your instincts would have shown you the way." Crossing her arms then. "You can blame your choices on others, but you were not the only dragon taken to a location where things went wrong. Other dragons fled, made their way back to the others and were safely ensconced elsewhere if they chose not to live with the silvers. Your choices were your own, Desdemona."

Her head lifted defiantly.
"I know my choices are my own. and yes I chose a human lover. Just as I chose not to stay at that atoll once I had the means to leave it. though your talk of instincts and pulls is not something I experienced. Perhaps we were too young for it. or perhaps the desire to leave was beaten out of us. I don't know that answer."
though her gaze turned to the other.
"Tell me, ancient, what do you revere in them? is it reverence, or is it really fear? They command great power, indeed. but she is cold, callous, and feels nothing for your reverance or for your essence or safety. At least her companion has a heart. He at least seems to care for those he helps or leads. and if you question him, he'll answer. you may not like the answer, but at least he will answer."
her gaze moved back to the one before her.
"you said the necromancer is my key. How is she a key. How can she help me?"

“The problem is…those who make it there themselves usually don’t make it back.” Close was as close as she ever wanted to be, honestly. She had no desire to die or be undead for the sake of her art, as it didn’t demand such a thing from her to understand it. “Safety and number and safety alone. Both exist and become circumstantial. A congregation of spirits can create quite the powerful nexus point, and at the same time one powerful lich can ward off most anything.” Looking to Kel as he squeezed her hand, him and his little gestures. “Or if one is written into history.” Nodding though and stopping a moment to sidestep a stone the metal of her boot struck before continuing, “Always interesting…or frightening for the inexperienced. I’m not responsible for damaged mental states. Yes, we’re heading to the temple.”
Heading that way and indeed they were catching the tail ends of the conversation that Des was having with apparent spirits that came around. Oh look, an opportunity to extort someone, lovely. “It’s not obvious to you? Necromancy isn’t about zombies and such things only. People are never truly dead until their souls are extinguished from existence. And souls are easily swappable.” Running her fingers over the various carved images in the wall, feeling the place out. “Isn’t that what you’ve been agonizing over and acting pathetic for?”
He looked to the spots she pointed out…well, they weren’t moving them so maybe she was right and that was it. He continued to weave the serpent around things, as if he was practicing some to not knock things too much. “I don’t know…have you ever heard a ghost or can they only talk to each other? Like fish?”

Desdemona wheeled around, wings flaring out and fangs and claws fully ready to rend flesh, tail lashing around.
"How dare you enter this place! this place is not for the likes of you, it is sacred here!"
before her head lowered down, fully capable of rending the little blind elf with her teeth.
"And what are you hinting at. You and Hunter hated each other. why would you want to keep him around or even deal with his spirit?"
Before snorting lightly. curling her lip.
"and what do you mean by 'swappable'?"

“Oh, I’m so scared of being blasphemous. The dead welcome me to their sacred places, I’m respectful.” Of course all of Des’ postureing was wasted on Savryn as she couldn’t see it and from vibes she did get she merely looked in the direction of hot breath and quiked an eyebrow. “Because it amuses me to torment him for tormenting me. I was going to put him in a little glass bottle with a pirate ship and set him on my shelf, but I can just imagine the noise he’d make. Like a wolf in a crate.” Tilting her head, “Also I find you being so pathetic to be even more annoying. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t be doing it to help you. Just to shut you up.” Indeed, every bit as blunt and harsh as her father.
But a sigh and she blew out a breath as she reached a hand back to scratch at Chy’s feathers. “Swappable, simple as it’s stated. You know, pop one in pop one out at the same time and there you go, swappable. No death involved, no undead worries, all that mess.”

Oh you could see the gears in Desdemona's head turning.this council of ancient dragons chastized her on her choice of mate...well it looks like the necromancer had a solution to that. she could make Hunter Deacon a dragon, if what she was saying was true. But that still didn't answer how she was a key in seeking vengeance on the star eyes.though the black promised he could show her how to hurt them.
"and exactly how difficult is this..soul swapping thing you speak of?"

"Not very, it's more or less all in the timing." Continuing to walk through the place, not caring where Des was exactly. Granted swapping dog and pigeon souls probably wasn't as complicated as swapping more human like things but she had done it before and well, she was always a confident one anyway. "Of coruse it comes with the whole learning curve and what not for participants but you know. We all pay prices for what we want."

"You see only what you want to see. You are answered. Call on us only for help." Then, as the elves entered the chamber, the tribunal faded away completely.
It didn't take much to put Kelligrin on the defensive and he had a blade drawn before Desdemona could bare her pearly whites. He wouldn't hesitate to kill her, either. Dragon or not, those who intended to hurt Savryn went through him. "The likes of us? Non-dragons or non dead people? Because last I checked you didn't want much to do with the first and you aren't the second either." Once again casually leaning against the wall as he watched Savryn mull about the place. That blade was still ready to do it's damage but he knew Savvy could take care of herself. "Better have something worthwhile. Soul swapping isn't cheap."
Why was he asking her a question like that? She didn't know. "I've never talked to a ghost before..." And neither had he. Which meant they didn't know and Daddy wasn't going to be happy if they asked him. He didn't like questions. "I read in a book that they like to yell a lot. I guess that means we can hear 'em?"

"I meant non dragon, elf. what else would I mean. this is a sacred place, a necropolis."
she wasn't intimidated by Kelligrin's weapon. her toxic breath would be more then enough to get rid of the elf. she wasn't a fire breather like kanzic alone. course her toxic breath weapon meant having to deal with it's side effects she didn't like at all. no one wanted to be puking all the time in their neutral form.
"And what is the price of this...soul swapping. how does it work, what do you need for it?"
