Duellist "Well... talk to them! You're a medium, they might be able to lead you back out of here..." Bertram swopped forward, and pushed into the werewolf, sending it flying. "I'll be along as soon as I can..." The wolf howled, clawing at the Wraith's robe. Then a cold burst of numbness travelled up its spine, as the Wraith grabbed its remaining arm in an icy hold. Numbness became pain, and pain became... nothing. Just a feeling of nothing. The arm was gone. "..." Ikue looked to the two will-o'-wisps, each one floating on either side of her. For some reason, she was unable to communicate with them since they wouldn't respond. It looked like Bertram could handle the werewolf on his own, seeing that the creature was near death.. but she didn't want to leave just yet. Even though she couldn't communicate with the floating, blue flames, she still felt like she had a connection with them. Ikue extended out her left hand, palm facing to the right. One of the will-o'-wisps floated over to her hand, forming into the shape of the bow, while the other shaped itself into the form of an arrow. Putting the 'arrow' in its place, Ikue pulled the bow's string back, took aim, and released the arrow. The arrow pierced through the wolf's neck. It let out its final howl and dropped, lifeless. The will-o'-wisps switched back to their original forms, floating back over to the medium. Ikue let out a sigh, trying to ignore the pain in her shoulders. "Whoops..."

AnqeIicDemise (( Would some one be as kind as to brief me while I try and do the same? )) (( Ikue and Bertie were taking a small walk around Barton forest, were attacked by some werewolf, and.. uh, the wolf's dead now. o_o; Ikue got hurt.. and she discovered her abilities, something like that. ))

In a characteristic display of short attention span, Cerise slipped out of the bar room in search of a more interesting activity. The thought occurred to her that, if she had any chance of actually doing any cleaning, she was going to have to find supplies.
Thus, the capricious young creature followed her first instinct, to explore. She had hoped to get a chance to see the place, anyways. Of course, better judgement persuaded her to stay within the confines of the hotel. It had several floors, enough to keep her occupied for awhile, at least. The alluring beckoning of the amusement park was tempting, but even Cerise listened to advice every now and then.
The soft echo of her steps obstructed the silence of the lobby as she scampered through. But the ground floor was of very little interest, considering her love of heights. The first order of business was one that only Cerise could devise: climb the stairs. In fact, she had every intention of climbing to the roof.

The emptiness of the stairway provided her some privacy. Most people would find it comforting. Cerise, being Cerise, found the silence unpleasantly stifling. Her 'climb the stairs' plan was cut abruptly short. She resolved to climb three flights, slide the banister, and repeat.
About the fifteenth time through the cycle, the game lost its appeal, and Cerise sighed in dismay. This place is too big! I don't have anyone to play with! Er, I mean talk to...
The dull feeling prevailed as she made her way back to the lobby, taking up her post on top of the front desk. "Too quiet, too quiet, too quiet!" To slice through the silence, she began to sing--a bright, cheerful, French song about fairies and cats....

Duellist Bertram growled, angrily. The life was fading out of the wolf. He had only limited time... a bony hand reached out and lifted the wolf from the ground, shaking it. Bertram drew its cowl back part way, and moved so the wolf's neck was obscuring his face. There was a hideous sound, and the wolf suddenly decayed in front of Ikue, before being tossed to the ground, still rotting. Bertram reached around him, and pulled the cowl off. Underneath he was normal again, all concern. "are you okay?" He ran to Ikue's side. The young medium stepped back a bit, watching the wolf decay into ash. She wiped off some blood off her cheek, which belonged to the wolf. Ikue's glasses were sprinkled with a bit of the wolf's blood, but she really didn't pay mind to it. Ikue looked to Bertram, who was now back to normal, and winced a bit. "Yeah, I'm okay.." God, it hurt like hell. It was as if the werewolf's claws had acid on them.
