Monty chuckled softly and stood up. "Would it be too much if I played the cello?" He asked looking at Kalore calmly. There must have been something in the coffee because he never felt this calmed in his entire life. Then again, the combination of that hit on the head from Gambler, listening to the calming song from Kalore, talking with him and drinking coffee did a pretty good job on calming him down. "You played fine on the piano. Alot better than most but not as great as Beethoven. He was the master behind the piano. Brilliant." He said, looking at the elf with amusement.

Kalore blinked a couple of times, trying to figure out who Beethoven was, but then a look of realization came over him. "Oh yeah...him...Rave's still much better than that dead guy though." He shrugged and showed Monty the cello while locating a good bow for him. "Here." Handing him the object, a small smile was on Kalore's lips. He was calm as well, but it wasn't the coffee. Music and talking to people always helped him. Though elven coffee did relax people...

Monty nodded a thank you and tuned the cello. When he finished that, he looked up at Kalore and told him to sit down. "Sit down and hold the cello between your legs. Think of it as a over grown violin." He said, handing the tuned cello and good bow to the elf. It was odd but he didn't mind teaching Kalore how to do something. At least it was indoors and there wasn't going to be unexpected guests like before.

Kalore blinked but took the cello, looking at him. "I didn't think you were going to teach me..." He had thought that Monty was going to play something, but this wasn't bad. Taking the bow as well, Kalore did as Monty had told him to, looking up at him for the next direction. His look was that of an innocent schoolboy that just wanted to learn. It looked perfect on Kalore...

Monty walked up to Kalore with a blank expression that hid his emotions and his thoughts. "I'm going to touch you but not in any weird way." He said and positioned Kalore his back straight and his arm at a nintey degree angle to hold the bow. Stepping back he looked at him. "Your going to use your thumb to hold the neck of the cello and the rest are going to touch the strings. If you have played guitar it's similar only with a bow." He said, using that as an example. Walking up to Kalore he placed his hands a certain way to make a chord and directed the bow over the strings making a decent sound. "Now do that by yourself." He said.

It was odd because Kalore was actually affected by the touch, which was something that was new to him. He knew that there was nothing meant by it, but he couldn't stop the slight jump that came from him. Nodding, Kalore did exactly as he was shown, and the sound was pretty decent.

The demon didn't notice the jump, which was a good thing because then Monty would have thought that he harmed Kalore unintentionally. "I'm going to touch you again." He warned and positioned his fingers differently on the strings and stroked them with the bow. "There. That is how it's supposed to sound. Do that one again, twice."

Kalore blinked again, a small jump coming from him as he was touched again. Damnitt, Marcessa...You know that he's not gay so come on... Sometimes being a total flamer really sucked... Nodding, Kalore copied the action, the first time it wasn't perfect, but the second time it sounded just like Monty's did. He looked up at him, "That good?" Why did he care?!

Monty blinked, noticing the jump but didn't think nothing of it. Maybe Kalore was jumping at the fact that Monty was being nice and teaching him something. That must be it. Yeah. It was. So why then did he feel this weird sensation when he touched Kalore, even for the briefest of moments. "I'm going to touch you again." He kept warning and placed his fingers on a different part of the cello and stroked the instrument with the bow. "Do that twice." He said.

Nodding quickly, Kalore did so, the sound coming perfectly both times. He didn't know what it was, but the man had always been good with anything artistic. But maybe it wasn't just that fact that fact that was helping Kalore learn so quickly. No. That was a bad thought to have. Monty was not someone that did that...Right?

Monty's eye's smiled at Kalore. "You just succeeded in playing the hardest notes on the cello. Now you can play it." He said. Which in his mind, if you could accomplish the hardest things before the easiest then it all will come easy. "With enough practice you will be very good." He said.

He blinked and looked at him, "That was the hardest? Really?" Mouthing that out, he played that note again. It was a little difficult, but it wasn't too hard. "Could you play something on here?" Kalore held his bow out for Monty to take, curious to hear him play the nice sounding instrument.

Blinking, Monty nodded and took the bow and the cello. "I can. If that is what you want." He said and motioned for Kalore to move. "Is there a request for something specific or anything?" Asking as he began to think of many things he could play.

Kalore moved and sat on the piano stool, facing Monty as he shook his head, "No." He didn't care what he heard, he just wanted to hear something. "Something pretty..." But most of the things on the cello was pretty so that was just a given. "Your favorite song?"

Monty nodded and sat down, placing the cello between his legs, keeping his posture straight but relaxed and started to play, bowing his head slightly. He stroked the strings with the bow smoothly and with precision, the sounds soothing and yet...happy. It was a old song that he heard from a distant part of his life and never in a million years would he have forgotten it.
