Korin0913 brinagirl77 Saint Crazy S Requiem brinagirl77 just asking but is flute hard to play in the beginning cause i am thinking of trying it out sometime this year I don't think flute was hard to learn, as long as you listen to what the teacher says. ^^ thanks and ya i should have a wonderful teacher so it should be easy actually we have one girl that is trying to learn the flute but she cant get over half of her notes out and we have an amazing flute teacher... .... she just kinda needs to go find some reed to suck on... just not an oboe one... >.< LOLi usually play clarinet

I play Flute every once in a while. Mostly for concert band, and a few jazz pieces. ^_^

Flutist over here! I've been thinking about picking up the Piccolo as well. Unfortunately, I have neither the time or money to actually own or get sheet music. I'm a relatively new flutist, so please be nice.

I play the flute! biggrin I started in 6th grade and am now in 9th grade. This is my first year of marching smile

EyE_eEt_KaKe I play the flute! biggrin I started in 6th grade and am now in 9th grade. This is my first year of marching smile Oh my gosh me too! But it's soooo annoying trying to find/get a stupid flute for marching band. The first football game I played at, there was mud on the field and it got on my instrument! So now I'm trying to get a bad student one. But apparently the lacquered(colored), although very pretty ones are really really bad quality. They are made of far more brittle metal, and if something goes whack it may not even be fixeable. Here's a picture of one:

have any of you ever heard of a bass flute? it's like a regular flute, only longer and with a U-shaped mouthpiece. my band director told me about them, and now i wanna play one!
