Kalore's blood ran cold as he tried to keep calm and just get the coffee for Monty. He nodded, walking to the coffee pot with the same grace as before but it was obvious that this hit him hard. Marn...I'll kill him... Losing his voice was one thing, but killing one of his best friends was something that would set even Kalore off on someone.

Monty looked at the table, going through different ways and different plans of getting it out of Eldin but he would only clam up and never tell a soul until he took drastic measures and those were the most painful. Perhaps he could let it all play out naturally. That would be best. He looked at Kalore from the corner of his eye. "I'm sorry that you have to know this." He said.

Sighing, Kalore shook his head as he handed Monty his black coffee. He sat down and began writing, "No...I knew Marn was dead when Rave brought her up. His eyes told me everything. But I thought that something happened down there and either she attacked you all and something went wrong; Either a misfire from one of you, or she killed herself. But I also guessed that she could have been harmed by Lucien...Rave wouldn't have brought her up if something didn't happen..." He sighed again, looking at the paper.

Monty shook his head. "No. I'm sorry that you lost a friend. We had planned to keep her alive, so that I may have interrogated her but....." He growled a curse aimed for Eldin. "I will rip his tongue out for any lies." He growled and glared at the wall. He didn't want to sit here and do nothing but he had to tread carefully. "I will ask that you don't act any different around Eldin after learning this. It will make things complicated if he believes that we know something." He said looking at Kalore seriously.

He shook his head as well and wrote, "Eldin hasn't lied. The kid can't lie, Monty...literally, he can't. Rave told me about once where he lied and Eldin wouldn't sleep. His conscience won't allow him to do so." Sighing, he looked at Monty and nodded, "But okay..." Kalore didn't like Eldin, even more now that he probably killed his best friend, but something was up...There had to be more to this than everyone was seeing. Kyin gave the option, but he didn't know...Kalore really just didn't know.

Monty raised a brow. "Then how is it that he lied to Gambler about not having anything to say. He killed someone and yet she didn't get a confession. He has lied to her and let me be clear with one thing, when you lie to the boss you lose favor. You think she would take kindly to another one of her men betraying the rest of us again?" He shook his head.
No it wouldn't be a good thing if Eldin really did kill this Marn woman. Especially when you have Ivan as a witness. If the boy would refuse of course but Monty like the seraphs have ways of getting information out of people and it was going to be horrible for everyone. The demon drank some of the coffee and looked at it. Thinking.

Kalore shook his head, "Did she ask if he killed her?" Not telling all of the truth and lying were two different things. Most people didn't see them as something different, but the elves knew that it was different. If you don't ask a specific question, there is no need for a specific answer. Kalore didn't mean to be sounding like he was defending Eldin, but it was the truth.

"And scare him? Why would she do a thing like that?" Monty asked. Why ask a question that anyone would deny? Even Monty, as bad as he was would deny any murder he was accused of. Even Gambler would deny doing something that she might have done and get away with it. It was Monty's job to be asking the questions, not her. No, there was a method to everything. Things would have to play out on their own.

"You don't...Never mind." Kalore sighed. He guessed that the elves were totally different than the others. If they were asked if they did something, they would admit to it. That's one of the reasons people respected them so much. If they did something, they would admit to it. Obviously if Eldin did something, there was a reason for it. If not...If not he wouldn't have stayed here.

"This goes beyond just killing someone. It's more than that." He muttered and drank his coffee. There was too much things involved and it all had to be reviewed very carefully. Perhaps it would be best to keep everything quiet for now. "You make a decent cup of coffee, elf. Thank you." He said and drank it.

Chuckling softly, Kalore nodded at both comments, "Thank you. I'm glad you think it's decent." But it was odd, seeing as he knew that there was more to this than someone dying. There was a chance of Eldin being a traitor, being a major threat, but Kalore didn't think that that was it...If Eldin was a traitor... He wouldn't have just let Ivan see that and walk with him as if nothing happened. This was just too confusing.

Monty nodded and finished his coffee. "Is there anymore?" He asked looking at his cup. He was really hooked on the the stuff only because it had a opposite effect on him. Instead of making him more high strung, it made him calm and clear thinking. Or maybe it was because him and Kalore weren't feeling arkward around each other. That had to be it. "Do you have any questions?"

"Not really." Kalore took his cup gently and got some more, making another pot before he went back to the table. Looking at the guy, he gestured to the objects around them. "Do you play?" He was curious if Monty could play anything musical.

Monty looked around and nodded. "A little bit of each. I like cello and piano." He said, looking at the piano. Resting his cheek on his hand, his hair touching the table, almost making him look tame especially with his thoughtful expression as he gazed at the piano.

The elf looked a little shocked, but didn't mention his surprise as he watched Monty. He looked...at ease? That was something that Kalore had never seen from him before, but definitely liked. After a few moments of watching him, Kalore figured out what he was doing and mentally hit himself. It was bad to watch people...really bad. "Really? I'm not that great at the piano, but never learned how to play the cello. Always liked it though." He glared at the pencil as it broke in the middle of the last word, mouthing out, "Damn thing..."
