And there it was. a dragon necropolis. full of the bones of the long dead, and probably in several of the structures that only a dragon would even understand the masonry of, would probably house the more recently dead.

But she glided behind them, before moving higher into the sky and out of thier human sight...and into the necropolis, where she gave her report to send back to the black. she wanted to have words with her fellow dragons. particularly Bell. She'd understand.

"Most of the skeletons are still surface bound, but as I said, I don't doubt some underground as well and run aground on a blade is going to be bad for any ship." Nodding lightly though and appreciating his care to the situatioin really...she did not want to wreck around in this place. It was just disrespectful and the present archetecture was something irreplacible. Waiting for the note, she took it and headed back over to the Gale Claw, landing in stumbly fashion. A look around and she spotted Cyvalor, walking over to him...he was about the only one who could approach Gem too much right now. "Cyvalor...I need you to take this note to Captain Nereem."

"I suppse that's a compliment." Shrugging lightly before shifting some for comfort as he touched her and she tried to contain the unexpected reaction. Why were Intharas so hands on without warning? "Why do you say that? Do I look particularly giddy about something?" Which she was.

He blinked at Jae and wondered if she'd read his mind or something. He had an Ode for her, after all. This must mean she was eager to hear it. "I-" Cut off at the sudden need of his help, he jumped to and grinned. "Okay! I want to help." Taking the note easily enough, he skipped off to Gem's cabin and then stopped to make sure his clothes were clean and straight. Brushing at a speck of dust on his collar, he cleared his throat. "Captain Nereem, I've a note for you. Very, very important. Real important. Yes." Maybe he shouldn't have repeated it that many times?

"You're learning, Vryn." Shooting her a devil-may-care smile, he inclined his head in agreement. "You look like you just found a pile of dead things that you can make your very own."

Opening the door, she looked down at the happy little dragonling who indeed was trying so hard to be helpful. Taking the note she looked it over and sighed. "Great, a graveyard. And yet seemingly appropriate, thanks Treasue. Why don't you go take a break for a while."

Bell sat down, stretching her wings some more as she had done so. They'd been stiff lately. But seeing Cyvalor wandering away from the cabin she waved him over...he was the one who was always happy despite everything. "Hey Cyvalor...I see you're still being a very good first mate. Bed Captain Nereem is very proud of you." Hey pep talks were important.

"Well I don't know if I can make them my very own, but we are coming upon a grand pile of dead things." But another look in his general direction, more of looking over his shoulder. "Not weirded out?"

From his spot in the crow's nest, he saw Jae take to the air and almost leaped out after her before seeing that she was merely scoping out the landmark they'd come upon. Through a spyglass, he too observed the mass grave and saw telltale signs amongst the landscape. Countless tombstones littered the area to mark where his own kind had been buried beneath the sandy surface. Dragons carved into the walls of collapsed stone structures that were entirely too large to have been made by human hands. It was all so expansive too... This place came with a story. But they weren't here for that, they needed more shards. Gliding back down to the main deck, he headed for Gem's cabin since the Laerethe had more or less put her in charge of the ships now. "Assuming the compass is accurate, we may come across shards somewhere among the graves. The ships will have to navigate around the area though and we'll have to explore by foot or the smaller boats. Which do you prefer?"

Playing with something or other, she turned her eyes up to Kaznec, quite used to him waltzing into her cabin. He was perhaps the one that was brave enough to right now. Aside from Treasure but that was a different level of feeling that drove him to invade. Setting down the trinket in hand on her desk she got herself up with a sigh, moving to one of the windows and looking out before wandering over near him. "Better to walk on foot. I don't enjoy the thought of horrid karma coming my way for disturbing graves or simple tombstones bearing names being tumbled over. Besides, I know how your kind dies...better to not risk what we have left. We'll pick a spot to dock, anchor down and set out on foot." Quirking an eyebrow at him. "Unless there's some draconic taboo I should know about those not of the blood being on what can be called sacred sand?"

He raised his head as the little whisp buzzed around his head before whispering it's own words to him and disappearing. So they were indeed headed there. He didn't think they'd get that far...and he didn't like the thought of them mucking around in there either, and not just because yes there were shards scattered there. Which posed a question...did he head out or did he stay put. But a grin and he got himself up, wandering on digigrade feet into the abandoned structure where giggles were being heard. "Frykk, Frakk...how about a new game?"

She was out in the sands, laying in dragon form in front of old familiar headstones. all her direct kin, save her sister. her heart was still heavy with her recent loss, and part of her did just want to lay down and stay down until she faded away...but her anger got the better of that. her need to seek revenge.

She was waiting, and she let out a low rumble, something that traveled great distance, that no human or elven ear would hear. but a dragon would sense it. sense a tone of mourning. perhaps that would lure Bell to her.

Wait a minute...she was talking to him. She who he held in the highest of esteem was talking to him. Without him creeping up behind her and grabbing her tail? He needed no more encouragement than that and skipped and nearly tumbled over himself to get over to her. "A very good one, yes. But you gotta ask 'er yourself. I dunno." A tilt of his head and he scratched at the horns that were just too high for his short arms to reach without doing so. "How come you're sad?"

Which would explain her complete and utter excitement and all the energy bouncing around her. The gods help him. "Weirded out? I grew up with your father and mine. Nothing can really weird me out. Besides, I have this reverie of you while you were still in diapers and your father handed you a bone fragment..." Shaking his head as his lips quirked. "You acted as though you'd just been given the greatest present in the world."

She crouched low, watching the ship move about on the false water as her sister played with it. That was her ship and the moment his fingers left it's magical sails...she was going to own it once more! Her father's voice made her ears twitch but she hesitated and kept her eyes on that ship. He had to be almost done...he had to. But new game? Distracted by fun prospects her tail slowly stopped its rhythmic waving and she sat up. "Okay!"

A slight look over her shoulder to the large gray area they were headed, hearing something on the wind. Was someone out there right now, having lost someone close? Maybe she or Kaznec should head out first and check it out....wouldn't want a fight on their hands because whomever was disturbing in their grief. But her attention was grabbed back to the ship by fast approaching steps.

It was cute as he stumbled over....granted he may be a little fresh from time to time, but he was mostly harmless and he was someone to focus on. Long as she wasn't focusing on herself, or Kaznec, or Silvers and just on things needed to thought on. Besides, he was happy all the time and it would be nice for some of it to rub off on her. Reaching out she scratched at his horns for him. "Well, she doesn't yell at you so I think that means yes." Letting her tail flick back and forth lightly where it rested on the deck next to her boots. "I'm not sad...just a lot of work to be done. Can't have much fun when there's a lot of that. Commander and the Captains depend on me, it's a tough job."

"I suppose you being weird yourself makes my weirdness normal. Go figure. Then again, you're a funnny one in your family as well...to an extent." A fall of her smile thought lightly at his recall of the past. "I was more excited I was getting attention from him than over the bone fragment..." Which had duly been shoved in her mouth as babies did, but yes she had always had a fascination with what creeped most others out. But such past things were still sore memories for her, even if she was making peace with her father and the like. "I don't know why I'm excited now, they probably won't let me play."

He was having for once what was actual harmless fun for a bit. They were suspiciously quiet though which meant trouble was on the horizon...that is until he let go of the boat and turned his attention back up to daddy and titled his head. "Yes!" Because new games were fun and daddy was hanging around them...and not threatening to eat them.

"Come along then." Wandering off to another part of the building and listening to the familiar hop flap and clip clop noises they made, stopping when he came to a splayed map with a few freshly carved pieces on it. "This is where ghosts live. Some of them are wandering around and are sad because of it."

Naturally, he didn't believe in karma. Or maybe it would be more accurate to say he probably couldn't wrap his head around how it actually worked. Regardless, he could understand Gem's hesitance to allowing more of assets, whether it be boats or crew, to risk damage or injury in a place none of them knew was 100% safe. "A graveyard of that size and age has probably sustained hundreds of years of wear and tear from the weather already. But to get the shards we need, a little sacrifice is necessary." Laws of natural balance. "We'll just have to be careful. And I advise against sending more people on foot than is necessary. Jae and I will go. Everyone else is your decision. The place is expansive but if anything happens, one of us can easily transform and return to the ships for assistance. Riders should also be less of a threat so far up north, where storms occur more often and with greater caliber."

"Fair enough Fire, I'm leaving it all up to you then. I'll send people with you if you'd like, you can hand pick anyone you want to bring with you, or we all can just sit here on the boat all lazy like until you two come back or need our help with something. Let's not make too much of a fuss out of any of this, least we do end up disturbing the dead. I'll have word sent to Mister Robb-...Captain Robbins."

It suddenly occurred to him that for the first time in his life, he was actually getting used to someone calling him by a nickname. "Des may have knowledge of this place so it might be beneficial if she came, assuming she is feeling up to it at the moment." Oh yes, he'd heard that call and subconsciously understood the emotions behind it. Nodding though, he continued counting off his list. "Savryn and her elven friend can come if they wish, since she is the maker of the compass and can fix it if anything goes wrong. Crew from both ships stay and act as lookouts or backup as needed. Anything else, captain?" He expected the Laerethe would oversee the group from wherever they were. But aside from that, he wanted to go in and get out as quickly and efficiently as possible. Death was not something he liked to be near, no matter how un-superstitious he was.

"Beneficial or a hinderance." Granted she could understand the dragoness' feeling but at the same time they were doing something here, the sooner they were done, the sooner a time of grieving could be had. Trying to do so during such was foolish. She took a moment to think then held up a finger. "Treasure. Make sure he doesn't follow you. He practically tags around holding onto Ice's tail all day and night. I don't think a mass grave is really any place for a child, even a dragon child." Setting her hands to her hips with a light sigh. "Since you all can fly out there and yes can take the others with you by the same method, I'm going to recommend we dock out further then. Close enough to be of use but not as close as we would have to get if everyone was going. Safety and what not. But I think that's all...you can take your leave when you're ready, Fire."

Logan was already in the air, of course not in his true dragon form because the graveyard required him and any of the dragons to be small unless they want to destroy the bones and ruin the chance of finding the shards. Still he did not call to the others on the boat, he wanted to see what was going on with them. He knew that Jae, Kaz and himself would be able to go through the graveyard without much of a problem, it all came down to how fast they can find what they are looking for before other outside forces came looking for them. "Should of picked that other plane..." But he was going to be here for the time being, better make the most of it.

Des cried again, laying by her family stones. as of yet, it had not occured to her that the necromancer may be helpful to her. or that Deacon's soul wasn't free floating to some human afterlife or to the locker of Jones.

She wanted the female Laerthe to suffer. suffer like she did. to feel her heart break. maybe she should take care of her companion. no. that cold b***h had no love or care for him. and he was at least more pleasent then she was.
