A large shadow called her attention to the boy shortly before he spoke. The difference in their size was immense. With her being more than a full two feet shorter and less than a third of his weight. To say that such a difference was intimidating would be an understatement. However in her travels the necessity of hiding one's fear had become apparent to her. There were many whom would try and take advantage of a lone girl if she looked even the slightest bit hesitant about a situation. To Katsumi's surprise that large man seemed to at least have some manners. Or at least enough sense to apologize for interrupting her. Tilting back her head so that her crimson eyes could look up at him she stared coldly into his eyes. "Greetings Karuto Raiken, my name is Katsumi Katsueki. While I appreciate your compliment and ability to block the sun, I must ask if there is something you need of me?" Much like the girl's eyes, her voice too was icily distant. It was also rather devoid of inflection and emotive expression. As she spoke, Karuto might have been able to catch glimpses of the two fangs hidden behind painted lips.

Karuto furrowed his brow, already annoyed by this Jounin. Turning over his shoulder, he called back at him "Hey, Hideo's the leader, just let me know what you two decide! I'll be...uh, here" Turning back to the girl in front of him, he chuckled softly before jerking his thumb over his shoulder "Friends, right? They can be so embarrassing" Sticking his hands behind his head, Karuto continued with a rather light hearted tone of voice "Oh well you're rather direct? That's refreshing to be sure and your manners are also very proper. My father taught me to be similar. As for what I need? Well I guess I'd like to buy you dinner one night. Or do something else along those lines because I find you exquisite in both appearance and shinobi skill" Karuto took a few steps back while he spoke. He didn't want to seem overbearing or give this girl the wrong idea after all. Sometimes his size made him seem more intimidating than he actually was

Amaterasu split up from her partner needing ninjutsu training. Trotting through the area with a smile on the wolf's face she went straight for the scrolls. Reaching them she bumped into the shelf and dust consumed her nose. Sneezing uncontrollably for a while she scratched her nose after the volley of sneezes. Towering over most in the academy she looked through the scrolls. Unable to see color which was humorous and sad at the same time. Grabbing one with her mouth she dropped it and tried to open it. Pawing at it and whining getting louder and louder trying to open it.
The voice of an older man called out something rather vulgar to the younger one before her. The phrase was certainly one that Katsumi would not be repeating anytime soon. Karuto's response wasn't the most... elegant in the world but then neither was his sensei it seemed. The chuckling appeared to be lost on the girl as she continued to stare coldly without cracking her own still expression to ease his embarrassment. Though she did listen to what he had to say in its entirety. There were no attempts at interruption or any kind of rude remarks to speak off. However when she finally replied it was probably not what KAruto was looking to hear. "Are you joking?" she asked with that same coolness as before. Apparently the girl was thinking that he was acting with less than true intentions. Or at least the self perception of a less than desired level of seriousness in asking her to dinner. "Playing around with a girl's feelings is rather rude."
Wow so he definitely didn't see that coming. Still, this girl was interesting. He'd have to be a little more careful though or else this whole dynamic would be over before it even began "I'm quite serious. Besides, you don't seem the type that can be messed with so easily" Her standoffishness was warranted, he probably would be skeptical too if a woman just approached him out of the blue and stated her intentions as he had. Oh well. That was his way. If more people just said what they wanted and were more direct the world would be a much simpler place

He was serious, or at least so he insisted. Katsumi was unsure of what to think about such a thing. The idea of someone being romantically interested in her had never crossed her mind previously. As such she had not the faintest idea of how to react to his advances. "Well then if you are so serious about this matter, I propose you name a place and time. One appropriate for such an affair." A fairly straight forward reply or perhaps it wasn't? Katsumi would certainly be gauging her opinion of Karuto on where he suggested and how well such a date went. If he thought she was someone who might be worth while he'd best pick somewhere that reflected how he saw her.
Holy sh*t she agreed?! After giving her consent she asked Karuto to name a time and a place. Honestly, the Raiken was a little clueless in that regard. He hadn't thought that far ahead! He rubbed the stubble on his chin pondering the question for a few second before an idea came to him. He snapped his fingers in response, and grinned at Katsumi "Oh I know! Suna's Famous Tea House! I helped the owners out of a bit of a pickle a few days back. We could get the rooftop dining pavilion all to ourselves! And, boy do they have some good food!" Karuto gestured to the bat perched nearby "And I'm sure something can be arranged for your companion as well. Cute little thing" Truthfully, Karuto had never seen a bat in his life. In fact, he didn't even know what type of animal it was. Living the life of a Cactus Farmer in youth didn't exactly expose him to a whole world of academic pursuits, besides the basics he knew very little of the world outside of the desert. He was eager to change that...
"Man and Spirit alike tell me I cannot withstand the storm…"
Theodin listened to the genin talk about what they could do, chuckling when the hyuuga got confused at his mention of the kazekage being his mom, which was a total accident really,”Yea…. The kazekage is my mom, long, complicated story, and this isn’t the time for that.” He’d finish listening to the others talk and roll his eyes at Karuto basically ignoring him before motioning for the other three genin to move in closer as he spoke more quietly so the giant downstairs couldn’t hear them,”Alright, so we have a good long range fighter,” he’d look towards the small girl with the purple eyes,”two good middle to long range ninjutsu users,” glancing at tje Nara and the Hyuuga, “and a close range fighter” he’d nod towards the giant across the room,”Sounds like we got a pretty evemly balanced team here. Anyway, You guys already know my name, but I’m usually just called Theo, I canmanipulate ration, futon, and suiton elements as well as use the bloodlines hyouton, ranton, and kuton. Not to mention maruton, fuuinjutsu, and summoning techniques. I also know a few genjutsu, the jing shen jie fang and hsing I pakua taijutsu styles and the kaze no zentou buki style. So, anything you kids want to learn, I’ll do what I can to help. You can also look through the library of jutsu scrolls here in the academy and I’ll do what I can to help with whatever else you want to learn.”
Katsumi watched intently as he seemed to try and come up with an answer. It appeared that he hadn't thought about this beforehand. Either he had failed to seriously consider the possibility of her agreeing to his request and was now carefully considering his answer, or he was just stumped. Time would tell which was true. In the end it seemed that Karuto had at least reached some kind of decision. At first Katsumi raised an eyebrow as he spoke of the tea shop. It was rather mundane, and not at all that fancy. However the mention of getting the rooftop pavilion to themselves did catch her attention. That was a good gesture, and definitely something worthy of a princess. "Nozuki can manage herself, she's rather intelligent and I feed her personally. As for your proposal I find it acceptable. When shall I meet you Karuto?" Unlike some of her other questions this one was rather straight forward. Just a simple question about when she should plan to be at the proposed venue.

Her acceptance visibly improved his mood "Awesome. I'll meet you there at 8 but until then I'll leave you to your training. See ya, Katsumi and Nozuki!" With a blur of motion he vanished, reappearing on the second floor balcony and walking into the library where he left his team behind moments ago, just in time to hear Theodin's explaination of his abilities
"Whoa, hold on there. I'm no expect but I've never heard of someone have two Kekkai Genkai's, let alone three! Is that how you fly?"
๑๑๑๑Theodin seemed to glance over the subject of the Kazekage being his mother, mentioning it was a matter for another time. It was enough for the Hyuga to drop the matter for the time being, however he became even more surprised as he mentioned having three bloodlines. How is that even possible? When Karuto returned and inquired about this, Hideo waited on baited breath for a reply from the man on the matter. He had a few maruton on his mind as far as training was concerned, and he hoped indeed the man who wised to be referred to as simply 'Theo' could help him with. Based on his skill set, he was definitely well seasoned as a shinobi. It had to have taken him years to learn all that he had. Glancing over at Lahlil and Keiko, Hideo kept quiet for a moment about what he wanted to learn. For the most part he was all trained up, parring partner or a mental challenge more than he needed jutsu training for the time being. Perhaps Theo could help him in that respect as well.

Swishing her tongue around to play with her own blood Lahlil contained her answer to a vague nod towards Theo. She hadn't really held much interest in hearing about his kekkei genkai and it was more important to her that she didn't become dead weight on any future missions. I suppose that means I don't really have a choice.. I'm going to have to draw power from.. Lahlil paused as she reached into her pack to retrieve her bloodline scrolls that she had yet to put back. My eyes.. A tingling nervousness swept through as she wondered what she would see about herself the more she dug. Mustering up the brightest smile she could manage at her new squad mates Lahlil shuffled over to a corner of the training yard, still within reach of everyone but also enough to give her distance to study her newly founded abilities. With a small huff Lahlil settled down and got to work.
With a quick nod she would acknowledge that she was to meet him at eight for dinner. After Karuto took his leave the young girl was unsure of how to feel. Part of her was at least intrigued, the other part of her was wary and guarded. To say she didn't trust Karuto or his intentions was a large understatement. Her crimson eyes glanced towards Nozuki's direction, the bat simply tilt its head to the side and wiggled her ears. She'd of course heard the entire exchange. With a huff Katsumi broke the stare and went back to training. She could think about such things later.
Looking at her practice dummy, a frown crept onto her face. The projectile attacks she'd employed up until now were rather lackluster. Perhaps it was time to create a better weapon? [1/3] Pulling blood from her right hand the liquid began to quickly glob together and form a shape. As it grew together the outline of a katana finally became apparent. Then it instantly crystallized into a solid weapon. [2/3] The entire process only took about a second to complete though it drained her hand of blood. Still with her kekkei genkai the blood would regenerate quick enough. Swinging it around for practice she noticed that it was a little unbalanced but some extra practice could probably fix that. [3/3] [ Ken no Rubi [ Blade of Ruby ] ] [ Right Hand dehydration 1/4]
A Katana was nice and all but sometimes it was too refined for a given situation. Katsumi knew all too well that a lot of fighting was dirty and intense. To that end she wanted a more primal weapon. [1/3] Concentrating the blood in her left hand she looked to create something very different. Blood flowed out from her hand and wrapped around her fingers. Soon it began to crystallize into a new shape. [2/3] At around eight inches long the blood soon formed into dark looking claws sharp as any predator's. With those she could easily claw, stab, and otherwise tear at an opponent. Much more effective in close quarters really. [3/3] [ Ikatsui Tsume [ Grim Claw ] ] [ RHD 2/4] [LHD 1/4]
Feeling rather confident in her kekkei genkai abilities the girl would head off to the library to do some light reading. Today she was going to study some genjutsu. The first technique that caught her eye was the Mist Servant Technique. [1/3] This simple genjutsu created a gaggle of false clones that could pretend to attack one's opponent. While entirely vision based, the technique could be couple with basic trickery to make them seem real. Obviously the more effort that she put in the more she'd get back out again. [2/3] Another interesting tidbit was that the clones would simply reform if destroyed. Thus a seemingly endless array of enemies could be portrayed. In the right hands it could be rather devious. [3/3] [ Kasumi Juusha no Jutsu [ Mist Servant Technique ] ] [RHD 3/4] [LHD 2/4] [Resting]
While continuing to read, Katsumi stumbled across another delightful little genjutsu. This one would would distort an enemies perception of depth. Obviously this would make it much harder for them to attack or defend well. As it was fairly straightforwad and simple, the technique was easy to understand. [1/1] [ Okuyuki Katawa [ Depth Distortion ] ] [RHD 4/4] [LHD 3/4] [Resting]
Demonic Hell Viewing? she thought to herself silently as she read the name of the next technique. It was certainly eye catching enough. Though more than likely it wasn't nearly as severe as it was made out to be. [1/3] Reading through the text did make her rather intrigued though. After a short delay the target would see a horrific vision. Something which could certainly create an opening. [2/3] With a high pitched yawn the girl looked to see what time it was. She'd been studying this genjutsu for a while now. After finishing up with learning the technique, Katsumi would put the scrolls away and leave the building. [3/3] [ Magen: Narakumi no Jutsu [ Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique ] ] [LHD 4/4] [Resting]

Keiko was quiet for a bit as Karuto demanded to know how he has so much kekkai genkai. Honestly, it was very impressive, no lie but not everyone has it. It was a rare thing and Keiko should focus on just learning and training. She took note as Lahlil went to a corner and train by herself as she exhale a soft and concerning sigh. She was concerned about Lahlil. But this was not the time for it. "Theo-san, I would like to learn-" She stopped as she was interrupted by the public service broadcast. A chill went up in her spine. Pumpkins... are alive? Oh that was so funny! Keiko chuckled softly. That has to be the best halloween prank ever! Who stole the microphone? With a shake of her head, Keiko yelped in surprise as something wrapped around on her ankles. Instinctively, she used the bo staff she was holding and gave it a good thrust as she heard a cracking noise below her. It happened so fast, all she saw was just orange. She glanced below and she had broken one of the orange pumpkin with the evil expression on it's face. It was emerging from the ground. A groan could be emitted from her as she violently shook her leg to remove the vine, "This is going to be one hell of a drag..." And as it turns out, the Sunagakure was under attack just with a snap of a hand just like she said.
Did Keiko jinxed the entire village?!

Current Attire: Same as the one in her picture. Currently has her bo staff to her back and has a small side pouch against her hip.
With all the eagerness of crawling through broken glass Lahlil began reading through the rest of her bloodline jutsu. Of course she already knew that she hadn't finished with learning her other eye technique but considering how well the last training exercise had gone she didn't believe she have the strength to continue with it yet.
As she continued reading her jutsu Lahlil choose the lowest level jutsu would be the best to approach for now. Going through the scroll the first of her clan's genjutsu was a simple bushin that was in much the same way as all the others completely identical to herself in chakra amount and even tenketsu. But in reality these clones are nothing more than illusions conjured up by Lahlil and whatever power they have is draw from her. With a single handsign preformed exactly as described in the scroll Lahlil conjured up an exact replica of herself. Stepping carefully around her new creation Lahlil examined it under a critical eye and wondered just how far she could push her new clone. [1/1] Munashii Bunshin Learned.
The next genjutsu technique seemed to draw power from her eyes which immediately set Lahlil on edge. It was a long moment before she even lifted her eyes off the scroll, not entirely sure she knew why she was even bothering to learn this. Was it because she didn't want to be weak? Or a burden? Or to protect? In the end she couldn't answer that question. It felt more like some unseen force, a thing of complete numbness was shoving her up a hill. Turning the page Lahlil continued reading of what was basically a form to strength her genjutsu through a more artistic means. Luckily it seemed the scroll carried a pad of ink for those newbies who were still learning of their bloodline. Wetting it with her spit Lahlil figured this would also be the best method to infuse her chakra into the ink. Utilizing this as an easier way to cast the jutsu Lahlil rubbed the infused ink over her exposed arms and even face in strange markings that reassembled the works a madman would scribble over his cell. Certainly anyone watching Lahlil would have that the girl had gone mad herself. With the majority of her body covered in the bizarre markings Lahlil could already feel the power within her body just waiting to unleashed like a dam moments before it was about to burst. It's promise of power pulled at her very body and Lahlil suspected that had she casted any kind of genjutsu then these markings would rip away her physical strength just as much as her mental fortitude. [1/1] Motto Genni Genjutsu [ More Strengthening of Genjutsu ] Learned.
The next genjutsu bloodline technique was something a little different. Using the power of her eyes Lahlil would be able to shatter any genjutsu using the same method as an advanced form of Kai. Interestingly enough her eyes could not only empower her illusions but destroy even the most convincing ones it seems. Activating her doujutsu Lahlil summoned the familiar and malevolent power from within herself. Thump Thump Thump. Her eyes beat in time with her heart and the world came alive with a bright glow highlighting every living thing in her vicinity. Using this power Lahlil surged her chakra into her eyes in one large explosion though not one in the regular sense, more like a pulse striking through the water. [1/1] Henjou [ Relinquish ] Learned.
With her relinquish jutsu finished Lahlil set herself to working on her so called weakness techniques. Apparently using the same method as she had learned with her genjutsu breaking ability Lahlil would be able shatter more than genjutsu, but other bloodline techniques as well. Quite the interesting applications assuming Lahlil could actually get someone to look in her field of vision. Managing her chakra levels Lahlil focused her strength into her eyes like a smith would pour molten metal into a cast. Instead of releasing it in one quick burst like relinquish however Lahlil held onto the power. [1/2] The chakra festered and boiled in her eyes as it licked at the edges of her visions waiting for it's chance to escape. Lahlil was uniquely surprised at how the chakra had suddenly felt as it was coming alive within her. Honestly the whole idea made her feel uneasy. Like her powers were more of wispy shadows that pulled her along rather her allowed her to be in command. In a desperate attempt to rid herself of these shadows Lahlil cast them out of her eyes in a flaring green light. [2/2] Senkou no Jaku [ Flash of Weakness ] Learned.
Nearly complete in her studies Lahlil floundered for any remaining excuse to prolonged delving into her remaining eye techniques. Lahlil grabbed at another of the jutsu that she had found interesting. A simple earth style ninjutsu that Lahlil had taken a shining too. Although ninjutsu felt foreign on her fingers Lahlil was able to easily memorize the ninjutsu and suddenly found herself sinking into the earth below her. Startled at it's immediate effects Lahlil floundered at he edges of the ground but this only hastened the effect and in the last few moment before she was entirely submerged Lahlil sucked in a deep breath. The next sight Lahlil witnessed was earth and sand surrounding her. Adrenaline filled Lahlil's depleting lungs as she gasped for air that.. strangely enough came to her even underground. It seems this ninjutsu allows me to move as seamlessly in land as well as on it..[1/1] Tsuchi Gunjikoudou no Jutsu [ Earth Military Movement Technique ] Learned.
Hand popping from the ground like a beautiful desert flower Lahlil reached onto the earth and pulled herself like she would out of quicksand. A wonderful ninjutsu for escapes or the like and also didn't changed the physical texture of the rock she swam through, a useful note to remember. The next earth ninjutsu Lahlil was interested in was something called the earth move technique. Another jutsu simple in design but yet had potential to be something more in the right circumstances. Instead of preforming a handseal Lahlil slammed her hands onto the ground and and poured her chakra into he earth itself. Using her will to form it while it was outside of her body Lahlil forced it crack he earth and slide it along. Though she wasn't strong enough yet to use it for much yet it wasn't bad to have it in her pocket. [1/1] Tsuchi Tou Tou [ Swift Earth ] Learned.
Lahli clutched the last earth ninjutsu that she wished to learn. A more tactical ninjutsu Lahlil studied the scroll to get a better understanding of how she should cast it. Forming a single handseal Lahlil again was forced to mold her chakra outside of her body, which was honestly a strange concept for her. Strange but still within her abilities, Lahlil used it to collect the nearby sand around and poled it together until it formed an eye. Not finished yet. Lahlil thought as she controlled her chakra into her right hand until it was condensed enough for her purposes. Covering her entire right eye with it Lahlil was able to see from her new construct in any direction she choose. Great for when she herself needed an eye in the sky or if she was simply unable to get a good vantage point on her foe. [1/1] Daisan no Me [ The Third Eye ] Learned.
With a blank expression on her face Lahlil closed the last scroll that she had brought with her to study, of her bloodline scrolls only a single red sealed scroll remained. Her lips curled as she carefully unclasped the string that binded the writing together and began reading the cold ink that lay bare before her. [1/12] As before the next bloodline jutsu was more of a passive type that could be used at will assuming she had her doujutsu active at the time she casted the genjutsu she wished to be strengthened of course. A sigh escaped from her lips and Lahlil gripped both of her arms together was she trembling? She hadn't noticed and she hoped no one else cold either. Activating her doujutsu once again Lahlil reached deep within herself, in the same dark crevasses of her being as she had the last time she awakened this power. [2/12]
The white flash blinded and enveloped her once more only this time showed her no visions of her past, no. In their place A flood of wicked shadows danced at her vision, each taking on a new and twisted form as they clawed their way towards her like demons. Lahlil tried to scream out for help but the words died in her mouth, she tried to run but her feet refused to carry her any further as she was consumed by a twisted world of shadows and fear. [3/12] Morphing out of the ground these shadow demons took on a life of their own, wicked grins plastered across their faces as they presented their shows like a magician of fear. They showed Lahlil visions of a terrifying reality. The first of which was her new team members each of whom was nailed to a spike and swallowed in the blackest fires. The flames of which licked at Lahlil's own face and felt more real and alive than anything she had ever experienced. She tried to tell herself it was all a dream, or an illusion, or a fake that couldn't possibly be real and yet. There they hung with skin flayed and charred along with nails piercing their bodies in a hundred different places. [4/12]
The scent of blood replaced the air around her that took everything she had not to vomit as the smell overpowered. A chorus of cackles ripped through the air like thunder at her weakness. The shadow curled up off the skin of the demons and underneath it Lahlil glimpsed blistered white skin with black veins like a network of spider webs. [5/12] More visions they showed her as they stepped closer to delighting in her anguished cries. The scene was replaced with one of Lahlil herself, injured and broken she sat at a tree stump and cried out for anyone to come save her. So thus her calls were answered and each she once more saw the faces fraught with worry as they charged in to rescue her and.. one by one they fell to their deaths. A multitude of pale hands ripping from the earth to impale them as they ran towards her, ripping them limb from limb and biting into their flesh with enormous sharpened teeth. [6/12]
Even worse to her horror they didn't stay dead at all. Instead black poison filled each of their veins and consumed them from the inside out, their skin turning pale as the moon and eventually into demons themselves though with a much more mangled and half eaten body. Like zombies they shuffled to her ready to devour every possible inch that they could. "The burden." and "Weakling" They called out to her. Tears streaming down her face Lahlil clawed her way from them, desperate fear clutching at her chest. [7/12] Somehow Lahlil made it to an edge with nothing but the void looking back into her. Turning her head back she could see the demons along with her former friends following not far behind her. A split second decision that any place was better than here to be tortured for all eternity Lahlil stepped over the edge and was consumed by the blackness within. [8/12]
Lahlil felt nothing but the numbing cold creeping over her body like little the gentle caress of fingers. At this point she was relieved. Relieved to be free of those demons, of her friends, of the shadows and flames, and of the responsibility that pulled her awake every morning. It was invigorating for her to be free at last after so long it was almost as if she could.. sleep forever. [9/12] Ferrah awoke with a start to a an all consuming void that surrounded her. Confusion and anger made itself apparent on her face immediately. Damn that girl where has she gotten me now!? Looking around desperately for some foothold or clue as to where she might be Ferrah bite into her cheek. What was I..? Delving into Lahlil's freshest memories Ferrah pulled at the ones relevant to her current situation. It wasn't an ability she was overly found of using that.. Looking into her other self's thoughts. She hated the idea that her body wasn't her own and yet she felt responsible for the girl now that she had been created. [10/12]
Ahhh So we're in some kind of ******** illusion huh? Easy enough. Ferrah bite her lip so hard that blood came gushing out of her wound, more so than one might have guessed for such a small thing. Rallying her thoughts and emotions Ferrah's doujutsu flared to life under her new command and in the blink of an eye everything was set right. Well sort of anyhow, it seemed she was surrounded by a burning forest and pale and twisted creatures all around her. Ferrah cracked a smile meant as a half hearted invitation to her new 'friends'. [11/12] Taking the bait hook line and sinkers the demons rushed headlong into her with a screeching warcry that probably would have terrified most normal people. Ferrah of course matched their rush with wild fury of her own. Eyes pulsing bright red as she felt the force welling up inside her unleash in torrential anger. In a instant the demons were shattered like river on rock and the darkness banished from her sight revealing the warm sandy outlook that Ferrah was so used to by now. [12/12] Genni Genjutsu [ Strengthen Genjutsu ] Learned.
