"You proved your lack of worth early on, Captain and that is why you know what you do. It takes faith, but like most things, that is something you know and have very little of. I see all, hear all, and know all." One of his crew members began gasping for breath when she turned her gaze on him and she watched as he succumbed to asphyxiation and died. "You had a traitor on board. Now you do not." A pause. "I know of plots and plans and ideas that have crawled through that head of yours." The dead man's body slowly rose and began walking around the deck before he vaulted over the side and into the sands below.
"That's not smart..." But...too late.
But one particular point of his speech made her angry and she lifted a hand, snapped her fingers and sent a wave of energy flying at him so fast that he had little choice but to be slammed into the deck of the ship. Her stature seemed to grow until she was towering over him, eyes so bright they nearly blinded all who looked directly into them. Her hair was flying wildly, cloak billowing in a breeze that wasn't actually present. "I grow tired of your attempts to undermine my authority. You live because I allow it. I know of your curse and I know how to remove it. Test me and you'll be nothing more than bone powder in the blink of an eye. And there will be nothing anyone on this plane can do to stop me. And that, Captain Deacon, is a very real threat."
"She's angry and she was too young at the time to actually know. That is neither your fault nor your blame and she'll realize that as she grows older and begins to piece things together herself." He shook his head, brushing a hand back through his hair. "The young gold or the red? You've grown attached to the former and you can't stand the idea of what is occurring slowly between the silver and red."

He lurched forward but looked up at her, and there was no fear, there was nothing in his eyes. empty, cold.
"Then do it. Go ahead."
getting himself up and glaring at her.
"I don't undermine authority, becuase you have only what your brute force and power grants you. you don't act like a leader. at least I take into account my crew. they may not like my choices, but they at least know that they were considered."
brushing off his clothes.
"You only care about those precious shards. the rest of these two ships mean nothing to you, except the dragons and only because they bow to you as a deity. I don't have faith. I judge by action and what I see."
glaring at them both.
"And so far, every time we've asked for your help, we get told no, it's not in the plan. you don't tell us anything about what's ahead, you let us stumble around and nearly get killed. the only time you seem to lift so much as a finger is if bell or kanzec are injured or in trouble, or to put me 'in my place'. Gem is no more pleased with this setup then I am."
moving back to his charts.
"She's considered leaving this little venture many times. you keep leading us out to the edges of our maps, to uncharted territories and sands and you tell us nothing until someone gets nearly killed. So don't talk about undermining your authority. peopel don't want to follow someone that treats them as little more then puppets."
looking up.
"I may kill my own crew who displease me. I may maroon them or the like. but they at least know the rules and the reasons why I run my ship how I do. I make no secret of it. I don't tell them enigmatic riddles or keep information that's important from them simply becuase there's some 'plan' somewhere that needs to be followed that no one else knows about."
gesturing to the male.
"He's been more helpful then you. At least if I ask him a question, he'll answer me. if I ask for his help, he at the very least will consider it and tell me why if he has to refuse me. and he doesn't spout garbage about some hidden plan when he does it, and he doesn't disappear constantly."

"If she hasn't learned it by now she probably never will, or her pride will keep from from conceeding to the fact. The least she could do is shut her mouth about it and cause my own to come questioning me." Giving another snort in her agitation before softening some. "I have a soft spot for dragonlings, you know that..." Shruggling lightly and giving a flutter of her wings as if readjusting them. "White. And no I cannot stand that. Nor can I stand how said white, not silver mind you, reminds me of someone as I said." Shaking her head again, "Back to what is happening between those two...nothing more than ill formed things that should not happen."

"Then leave." Did he have any idea what he had just done? Giving her permission had been a very bad move. She studied him for a long moment, snapped her fingers and the ring was ripped off his finger and flung into her own hands. The process of death was quick and unmerciful, his skin and organs disintegrating and his bones falling to dust as they tumbled to the ground. The dust blew off the ship's deck and she crossed her arms and glanced around. "Are there any further complaints or are we prepared for the next leg of the journey?"

about ten seconds after that, the entire deck of the Chimera was a light with flame from a very angry dragoness. in her natural form, and fuming, her eyes violent.
She didn't care for the crew, or anyone else. that b***h had no right to take any life out of hand as far as she was concerned. especially if she'd go to such lengths to keep Kanzec and Bell alive. her wight caused the entire front end of the chimera to sink forward, and she was gripped to it like some sand beast looking to pull the entire ship down into the sands.

Completely unaffected by either death that she'd caused, Eilynne turned bored eyes on Desdemona. "You are no match for me, dragoness. Cool your ardor or join him as well. Richards, as the First Mate, you are now Captain of the Chimera."

Mister Richards was in no condition, and neither was the bulk of the crew, to be doing much of anything. he was nearly roasted, and barely clinging to life as is. Desdemona shifted her form and stormed past both the little wretches, and ripped mister richard's head clean off his charred shoulders, throwing it violently back at the little b***h.
"You've no right to dictate anything, you star eyed b***h. you've no right to do anything or be anywhere on my ship! Get off it! take you damned shards and your cursed plans and your arrogant, self absorbed s**t off my ship! I hope you both fail, and I hope it costs you your lives and the lives of everyone around you when it happens! I hope you precious Bell and her bleoved Kanzec both die a horrible death and you have to sit and watch, not that you'd give a s**t about that either!"
She was screaming and she was angry and she was hurting.

It was a simple matter to sidestep the tossed head and direct both the head and the body into the sands. A quirk of an eyebrow at Desdemona's display but very little concern over all. "If you cannot pull yourself together, Desdemona, then you can stay behind. It is neither your ship nor anyone else's here. I believe by pirate codes, the one who brings down the captain claims the ship. It is now mine. Since you have removed Captain Deacon's choice for First Mate, I will choose my own." She pointed to the next in command under Richards. "You will be Captain. Now, let us leave. Come or don't, dragoness."

Desdemona set her jaw.
"You are not taking this ship. Not after what you just did. I'll sink her before I let you have it. you're as bad as the silver and gold dragons. can't stand it when someone tell you the truth if it doesn't put you in a good light."
she walked over.
"So you leave. without this ship. go play with you little gem and your precious devoted other dragon toys. until you take things from them that they value more then your stupid little plans."

"Do not tussle with me, Desdemona. You cannot win. If you set the ship on fire, I will restore it. If you sink it, I will call it back from the sands. If you attempt to poison it and it's crew, I'll merely use the antidote and find a new crew. Deacon's orders were followed. You're wasting time and causing a disturbance. Cease at once and let us leave. It was Deacon's wish."

"You didn't know Deacon like I do. You never would and you never will. You're just a little b***h who throw a temper tantrum when she doesn't get her way. Deacon at least had more restraint and honor then you."
she growled lightly.
"why should I continue to help you. why should I want to take even one step in the same direction your going after what you just did. give me a reason not to kill this entire ship's crew and leave you here to man it on your own."

Quite tired of this whole display which was pointless to Eilynne, she shook her head. "He was using you for his own ends and he loved none other than himself. Believe what you like, that is the truth. If you refuse to accept it and you do not wish to continue the journey, then remain here. But, for the last time, you are holding up progress on my ship and I shall not have it. There are things to be done and we have many plans still to unfold. I'll say it one final time and then I'll take action to ensure my orders are followed. "You do not own this ship and therefore you may accompany us as we leave or you may stay here." Turning to the crew, "Come. You are all suffering needlessly. As soon as we have what we require, we'll continue on the path originally set. There is much danger ahead so we will need to be alert at all times." Turning her attention to the other ship. "Captain Nereem, would it be horrible of you to surrender Mister Robbins to the Chimera? I'd like to make him my Captain."
"She is silver, merely a paler version of it, Nell. You must accept that." A shake of his head and he reached out and gently tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "We all have our own demons that we must confront and put to rest. I had thought your own was no longer haunting you." He gave the order to have the shards his own had collected returned to the pile of shards Nell had and then given to the Laerethe as per their request. "You have to decide if he stays or if he goes. He might be safer here."

"Fine."
Desdemona spread her wings, moved to natural form and flew off in the opposite direction. she was through with this. They'd cost her more then she was willing to bear for their venture.

"White." Nope, she wasn't going to admit it...she didn't want to and wasn't going to. It was shameful enough when a metallic did slip into Rider hands and turned into nothing but overgrown scaley dogs. At least they were too stupid enough to know how bad they were off. But then there was this one...whom knew what she was and yet accepted it, or so it seemed. It was disgraceful. A frown though at the mention of her own demons. "Yours still haunt you, I have my own indeed." It was not her fault they were turned away because of pride. "It is not my decision to make for the dragonling. Maybe he's better off thinking he's human." Turning her head over to the commontion and then back to Dyranthirm. Great, more bronze trouble. "I have my own dragonlings in my clan that need looking after..." Yes she was purposefully trying to come off cold and selfish to detach herself from it all.
She was lounging on her deck, eating a muffin in one hand and a bottle of rum in the other, shaking her head when that yelling started. "They're going at it again. What is with those two? Both too uptight I say." Snickering and shaking her head, yes indeed babbling at her firstmate. As he father had told her, it was all fun and games until someone lost an eye and in this case it was everything and the fun was over. Which means said items in her hand dropped to the deck in surprise as her and much of her crew, as well as some of the dragons nearby watched what was going on across the way. She had a feeling that someone had just let hell loose...granted her own mind was racing. Did that thing just kill Deacon? And then Richards and Co swiftly followed? Okay...so maybe she was in over her head and should break port now, get the hell out of here and go back to doing what she did best. Though before she could issue an order, the star eyed creature had her eyes on them. Was that good or bad? A look to her first mate...what? "I...um...." Did she even want to tempt fate and say no? Did she want to keep Robbins from his own aspirations. Why the hell did she ahve to overthink like this? "I suppose...it's whatever he...wishes...." Damn it.
Well this...changed things that was for sure. A look to Sibrar, "Looks like a few positions just opened for you." Though yes she was disappointed as Deacon's death...she wanted to be the one to tourture him. Yet...a wicked smiled lifted the corners of her mouth and she reached into a pocket, drawing out a palm sized gem. She always did want her own pirate crew, complete with captain. Bodies may be useless now, save for scraps but...souls were more valuable indeed. Thusly a little covert flare of necromantic enery and a few energy threads, practically invisible to those without noses for magic, snagging souls that were trying to escape. "Don't think I'm going to let you get away from me Deacon...if I'm anything like my father...it's that I don't forgive easily. Besides...you're not a total loss." Chuckling lightly and tapping the gem...though damn it all that shard he had was probably up on deck now. She had so wanted to see him get maimed by dragons too. Pity. Oh well, she could play with him all she wanted now anyway.

Desdemona flew as fast and as hard as her wings would let her, tears burning her dragon eyes. She'd have her satisfaction for this act. and she had a guess on whom to go for the power to do it. Her wings lead her to the salt beds, and she landed heavily, giving out the 'I need help' call across it. She didn't know the location of the Black's lair...she'd have to call him out.
