"Okay..."

The elf took a breath and then delved right in. "From Sierra's records, and our own re con, we know a fair bit about Victor, his plans and what Ra'kar's interests in these events are. What we don't know, is why Alpha aligned himself with them. In fact, we know almost NOTHING of Alpha..."

His gaze focused on Athan, holding his eyes now.

"We suspect that there is a second plot. We fear, more serious than Victor's plans alone. Alpha is the clue..."

He held his hands wide as he shrugged.

"We were hoping, that someone who 'knew' him so to speak... would have some insight as to his motives."

Even as they spoke, there was movement at the front room of the house as a young woman let herself in. Her short uniform skirt and tailored jacket gave her away as a member of GUARDIAN to those who recognized it. The crest on the shoulder of her sleeve, marked her as an officer, and the white of her uniform marked her as a member of the healing and supply division.

"Hello?"

She peeked around the corner, following the sound of voices. Catching sight of the men she straitened and bowed slightly to Shin.

Her teal hair framed her face in a fringe and long strands, before being wound into two buns atop her head. Her grey eyes flicked to each of them, as she spoke.

"Sorry to interrupt sirs, but I have most of the supplies you arranged for--" She looked at Shin now, "Where should I put them?"

The elf nodded at her and glanced over his shoulder.

"Where do you want it Vahn?"

"If you want insight on Alpha's motives, you're going to have to put a lot of faith in dreams."

Athan had crossed his arms in front of his chest by now, his shoulders resting against the wall nearest the door so he could look at both of the men in front of him at once. So even though Vahn couldn't see, Athan wouldn't feel awkward talking to an audience that wasn't facing him.

Athan's dreams were hard to describe, particularly for someone who wasn't exactly eloquent. But, with information being pretty important at this juncture, it looked like the swordsman was going to have to try.

"'Cause that's all I have to go off of."

He reached up, scratched the back of his head, and took a minute to organize his thoughts.

"Alpha's an agent of The Forgotten, some sort of ancient thing that's dead set on turning existence into nothingness. My guess is his goals haven't changed, and he must think that Victor is a means to that end."

He shrugged his shoulders. GUARDIAN may not have known much about Alpha, but Athan was equally clueless regarding Victor and Ra'kar's involvement.

"He's responsible for dragging at least one civilization down into civil war to achieve that goal, so it doesn't surprise me that he needs help. Just how big a role Victor's playing, though, I couldn't tell you. I just know that when Alpha's involved, The Forgotten can't be too far away."

Except there's no Anima...no Moam...not even a half decent army standing in his way.

The interruption was just what Athan needed to get his mind off such things. He looked over to the girl, cast a quick glance towards Vahn, then just nodded his head towards the center of the room.

"There's fine."

Athan wasn't too picky to be picking things up off the floor, but he had to wonder what supplies had been arranged for their unlikely group.
