Bah, I don't even mess with my campus internet anymore. It's the kookiest I've yet seen. Around breaktime there are nerds as far as the eye can see all crowded around this empty bit of floor in the lobby on the second story of the building. All the tables are totally deserted, the chairs pulled away so that these guys can watch their Justin Bieber videos or whatever it is that their ilk does.
I say their ilk, but I suppose technically it would be my ilk too. I dislike my ilk...
Also, this isn't to say everyone with a laptop is a nerd. Just the ones in my building. You see, I attend a technical school and my building handles all of the networking, network security, computer maintenance and repair, software programming, and most of the digital design.
So basically it's an entire building full of complete nerds. And not the cool kind at all, for the most part. Like, the poor hygiene, inactive, CRT tan, mouth-breathing kind. Some of this might have to do with college life... but not enough to get them off the hook.
Take a shower, dammit!
