The detonations began to activate in a line, causing most of the vampires to panic and scatter.

Fyrin gave off a little pulse of emotion - a grin. That was good. With the vampires scattered, he had time to focus detonations on or within them wherever possible. Mana was running short; he shouldn't have dismissed the troops. Perhaps they could... back up Joe and Jacob? They hadn't withdrawn far. He focused on one of the links - Steven's - and quickly communicated what he wanted.

Steven perked up. "Ah. We're being called upon again, let's go!" he commanded, and they pulled out from the alleyway they stood within, charging in the building - right behind Joe and Jacob. "Oh, it's you two - Fyrin calls, let's move," he told them quietly, still behind them but staying close and preparing to pass.

Jacob picked up the speed and nodded to the soldier. He dragged Joe up the stairs so the soldiers wouldn't be waiting on them.
He arrived at the top soon enough, keeping an eye out for anything.

Joe pulled free of Jacob and ran ahead, rounding a corner to find...scattered vampires?
Joe shrugged. He wouldn't judge. He blindsided the nearest vamp with the Fists.

The vampire dropped like a rock. A large, fleshy, bloodsucking rock, anyway.

((I will. I generally do it at school, instead of doing my work, but my computer was being MEGA LAME this morning and so I couldn't. I think I did a few minor edits, that's it.
AND WHAT THE GHEI IS A LUCIFEX?!))
Joe moved on to the next off-balance vampire, this time adding a tasteful dash of fire to his attack.

((Well, Abaddon is not an ordinary Lucifex.
But basically, they're fallen angels - genuine ones, like the Demons-Major, Grandmaster Demons, and Farthest Fallen. Consumed with insanity during The Fall, their millennium-long descent from Heaven to Hell across every Tier in between, they began to devour the souls of the angels falling with them, becoming twisted, violent beings. Abaddon was the first, and devoured the most angel souls, as well as other Lucifex souls, during the fall. He was able to stop himself from completing The Fall, using his immense power to tunnel into an enormous "pocket" dimension now known as "Next Door," which resides between the Sixth and Seventh Pillars.
I'll add that to the Wiki. xd ))
The vampires, very much occupied with the random explosions around them
