Althought Gizel tried to keep it from phasing him or appearing to phas ehim he failed. it was obvious that Selena's words effected him deeply. He already knew that the children would need their father there but what could he do if he was no longer fit for it or of sound mind for it. He was worried of what might become of himself, would he be dangerous to be aorund hsi own child. That was enough to drive a man insane, nto only owuld he be leavign behind a woman that he cared for deeply but leaving his own child behind to. No man should ever have to choose but he must. Gizel did nto know how long he really had before the effects would over come him, especially since Resu had already been taken. Would he even make it to the final battle aside Kashan at this rate? it was all too much for any one man to handle. "Don't you think i already know that? Don't you think i want to be there for them int heir time of need when they are still so young? Don't you think I want to be there with you? I do I really do but I don't know what is happenign to me. The tormentum, the pain, it grows in me like some kind of virus, grows in all of us. I can feel it Selena, crawling under my skin, growing, wanting to be let out and take over. What sort of man would I be if I came back and it won control, would you and the child benifit from having a mad man around? The last thign I want if to leave you and our child." Yelld Gizel in a fit of raw emotion that he could not contaim. He did not want this, he did nto expect it either. no one could have known of these effects since so few people ever make it back alive and only know could Gizel see why that was. "I will inform Kashan of his daughter. And Tell Sam that Kashan misses her to, very much. he speaks of her often. I think that is all that really keeps him going right now and... I will make it back to you I promise that you will nto have to live without me, even if i am littl emroe than I shell I will be there." Said Gizel. The effects of tryign to mantain thsi connection were starting to show. he was finding it hard to remain emotional due to the level of concentraion needed to hold this frail vision together. ""We will al make it back one way or another. I love you Selena" he added as the vision started to fade.

The connection broke there and then. All Gizel saw was Selena collapsing and that was what broke him. He did not want to see that, he coudl nto take it but righ tnow he coudl nto leave this place, atleast for now at this hour when danger lurked around evry corner. he would find a way home even if it killed him in the process.

In the darkness of the manor, something stirred. Just as Selena colapsed something mvoed out of the darkness to look over her. It was a specter that had remained unseen for a long time that none had seen unless they paid particularly close attention during the battles of old with Shadow in command. Eveen then it was an old old soul that many thought had perished when Shadow was forced to destroy the physical form of his once closest advisor and friend. Setroth moved over Selena, sensing her pain. Many would ahve probably foudn ti strange, why was Setroth even there watching Selena and how long had he been there and why him in particular. He had seen everything that had happened here, it did not bode well at all with these effects. "Shadow, we have a problem here." Setroth sent the message off quickly. "I know, I felt it form here." Responded Shadow as he made hsi way back through the forest. His targets had eluded himself and Luna, he still had alot of explainign to do and even more so now if anyone saw Setroth hovering over Selena. Shadow left the forest ahead of Luna and aproched Selena's unconcious body. he knelt by her. "What happened to you? What caused such grief to cause you to retreat liek this?" muttered Shadow. his voice for once did convey concern but that was only because no one was around other than Setroth and even then Shadow did have a rough idea of what could have caused it but he did nto even want to think about that. Selena had suffered enough already through his action and the actions of others. The last thing he wanted was for her to suffer more like this, especially since he knew what it was like to suffer. "Setroth, return to the darkness and when she wakes keep an even closer eye on her. keep her safe, keep her alive. The last thing I want to see is her perishing like this." Said Shadow. his heart was heavy, and a single tear forned in hsi eye but never fell. Even though no one was around he would not bring himself to it just incase soemone saw him. he had to keep a tough exterior for the sake of moral. A leader had to be strong. Setroth disapeared back into the darkness to mantian his vigil and Shadow lifted Selana from the ground and carried her in his arms gently. "I'll take you somehwere safe for now Selena, somewhere you can rest and recover." He said. he was sure she could nto hear him but it helpe his mind to think that she could seek comfort in his words. he carried her to her room, Lay her in her bed and covered her. From there he took a seat next to the bed and took one of Selena's hands and squeezed it gently. "You are strong Selena, you will recover from this as much as any person can recover. The scars never truely heal but we will help you as best we can. regardless of what you might think or how I may have acted, I still care for you Selena. I know I never showed it through my actions or my words but I always tried to keep your intrests in mind, hard as it may be to do so i tried. I may have seemed far more distant these days but that was ebcause you had found someone else so I though my keeping away would benifit you more. If I wa snowhere to be seen then there would be nothing to interfere with you and him but it looks like i was wrong." Said Shadow. his tine was different fromw hat msot knew, it almost seemed like he was an actual living being with somekind of emotion. "I'll shut up now and give you a chance to talk. lets face it, the last thing you want to hear is me rambling on all day... actually that might make oyu get up so you can get away from it." He let out a small chuckle but quickly fell silent again as he waited there at Selena's bedside, the look of worry ever present on his face.

selena felt safe in the darkness of her mind then something like a warm brezz came into her darkness engulfing her selena felt another heart beat besides her own almost in sychn with each other "who ..who is my heart calling for an beating to in my sweet safety " selena body shivered but selena was still unconious an wanted to be for a forever it was just easier to give then to live selena saw a warm feel that she only felt once before luther an that was shadow the a light a pure light began to cast away the darkness at first it was a quite whisper then it became louder selena sighed"it cant be shadow our bond was borken so long ago could it no i gone insane " selena cruled up tighter into her coner but then she heard shadows thought of everything "but ..but" selena saw the breaks starting to med together then selena saw it saw shadow on the day the got married that selena dissappered an shadw turned to me selena knew that she was still uncoinious but they saw each other selena stayed where she was " i hear you shadow ....an you still let bad jokes " selena face still streaked with tears an there was still a bit a darkness around selena but only around her heart a black spot selena was still crying "i guess i wasnt ment to love or be loved " selena wiped away soem tears an looked away "im supprized that this is even happening for me " selena sighed "you must just be my mind tryin to cope with the news i gotten from luther " selena sighed " i guess i might as well enjoy it while i can before i wake up hopefuly i wont tho " selena looked at shadow an saw the worries streaked on his face an the softness she had only seen in him a few times "shadow if it really is you an the bond we had is some how working i dont want to awake up ilove you ...i mean i mean i loved you an....."the darkness around selena heart dissappered an she knew she could hide anything she felt now everything was open to shadow an him to her "its doesnt matter now your shadow " selena smiled tho having that feelin from him selena walked closer to him in the bright white light in there minds " thankyou shadow for careing that much for me altho i wished you would have shown me before but i guess you being the king an all you have alot of thing to deal with me being one of them " selena smiled slightly sighing deeply " shadow i will always i hope you know that " selena gigles"yes i know your socail skills arent the best i the world but i forgive you "selena smirked " an dont mind hearing you ramble when you ramble atlest i know your still you some where in there i wish youd do it more often when we were married " selena smiled "shadow it easier to be mad at you then to show you how i really feel an for you two shadow in this light you kow we cant hide from each other " selena smiled in this light she felt whole an safe but rembered luther selena sighed " luther ,resu , kashan "selena closed her eyes an shook her head but then looked at shadow an felt a longing she hadnt know in a long time selena walked over to shadow an looked him in the eyes "shadw......" selena kissed shadow then back off quickly "im sorry i shouldnt have your married" selena smiled " i dont know what came over me shadow i think it this light "selena wonder what was going to happen now that she had kissed him would he do it back or would he shy back she didnt know well not yet anyways in the purest of lights everything was open "what will happen when i wake shadow ?"

Shadow wa smroe than a little confused but this sudden change of events. Never had he experianced such a thing n his life and understood why Selena was not able to understand that he was there in her head because he could barley beleive it himself and this news he gained was even more shocking for him given their relationship thus far had been far from friendly. "Well.... this is awkward.... very awkward. i had no idea Selena just liek I guess you had no idea about me." Said Shadow. he was struggling for words now. He did not back off after the kiss, he stood as he always did with a slight smile on his face. Atleast he knew htinsg were not as bad as they seemed. "That all depends on you Selena. You will ahve alot to deal with when you wake but I can try to help you through it. I lost one close to me before in a tragic manner so I know how it is but you can't give up hope just yet. Gizel might make it back alive but he probably will not be as he was at first. We will help him to readjust when he teruns."

"Well i can't help but look at things from a leaders perspective. When the livesof so many are at risk you have to take a colder aproch to thing, you have to when you may have to call upon these people to die for a cause they possibly know little about. I am still working on all of that, it is far from easy. I knwo I seem less human because of it but I do not know what else to do or how else to act. It is always easier to keep everyone at arms length so when the time comes no real pain is felt." Said Shadow. he knew the pain he caused and everythign that he missed because of the way he acted but hois only role modles on this sort of thing tired to kill him when he was young. "I wanted to be a father, to watch my kids grow but with everything going on and my previous experiances it was a safer bet to just stand back and let things runt heir corse so they never ende dup like me." He let out a heavy sigh and decided to mvoe formt he subject for now. "I am not strong when it comes to the affairs of the heart either Selena. I knwo what it feels like to lose someone. I lost my first wife remember and I did not take it well. You fall back into a deep sleep while I went on a rampage. There is plenty you cna do though, it might not seem liek it but we can do soemthing from here." Said Shadow, determined to raise what little spirits there were. he knew that it was a suicide missiont hey wer eon and that they probabyl would nto make it back but he had to keep up hope. if he did not then all was lost. "You will see him back here, we will all need to stand by him as he adjusts to normal life again. the tormented plane is not pretty, just beiogn there for a few minutes is enough to drive most insane. just look what it did to kashan's realm. a small leak and everything becomes warped and twisted upon itself and they are forced to adapt. you will nto see daemons quite like Kashan's ilk anywhere else and it is because of that infection and you can't be of any help to him by sititng back here and sulking." Said Shadow. He nodded at the mention of seeing the sun rise again. he was thankful that he was able to actually see it for once in his life when he was dragged up to see it one time long ago. "You will always see the sun rise agian, even when you pass the ring on to marcus, wich it is almost time for. The boy is gettign big but we can substitute it for another, weake rin power but stil you will be able to see the sun whiel marcus galavants off his my grandfathers ring. Rosalyne will get her dues also." he said. he had somethign for all his children when the time would come. Sure not all of it was fancy but it was something of an inheritance. "We will always be able to conect, just nto directly. And don't rest for too long. it will nt do you much good, especially when you have children they need their mother especially since their father is elsewhere."

Sajuuk had finished off the togehr dameon a while back and was tkaign this time to just watch Marcus fight. when he finally finished Sjauuk gave a small aplause. "Took you long enough. You have passion but you need to work onyour form a bit. You weild that wepaon more like a clumbsy tool but you show promise. When you learn to use it as an extension rather than a seperate peice then you will kill these things alot faster." Sajuuk was kind of joking there but he was trying to pass on some sort of wisdom that comes with years and experiance. "Yes I am the eldest and I guess it is abotu time I actually made myself known to everyone.... last two attempts wer enot very good. I scared your mother half to death the first time she saw me and well Luna just feels uncomfortable aorund me. I am technically her son yet i am far older than she is. takes alot of getting used to." Said Sjauuk btu he was willign to finally get himself aorund the manor and talk to people but he would need to take his more human form in exchange for the walkign death machine he normally looked. "And don't insult the smell, it is the smell of a warrior... besides... your not exactly a rose basket yourself. You smell worse than the dameons." Sajuuk poked fun right back at Marcus, he did have a lighter side when not being all serious.

marcus grined "you know bother talk is cheap ,didnt father every tell you that "marcus chuckled he could say that with a stright face "an maybe i do need a bit of work ,but if i didnt have a twin that like to get into everything maybe id be better trained with my sword " marcus wiped off the blood on his sword off on his shirt " well you gotta understand my mother she was human at one point unlike us so it kinda different for her " marcus shook his head an chuckled"its not hard to scare her even if she does put up a good front she still a woman just like everyone eles" marcus cocked an eye brow "well your smell of the warriior smell like the rear end of a were wolf sajuuk " marcus teased "yea i know but atlest i know i stink" marcus put his word back in the seth " you know come to my room ill give you some nice clothing" marcus grined an punch sajuuk in the arm "race you back to the mannor ,loser has to bath 1st " marcus took off runing toward the mannor

selena rasied an eye brow "shadow when i 1st meet you , the 1st time we kissed an the 1st time we shared our enerty being with each other by the way i still have your memories " selena smiled" you let me in to that part of you that you so love to close off to everyone expect for now where i am in that place again " selena smiled " the place where it all began " selena nods "yes i know it much easier to keep people at arms length to keep from getting hurt over an over again " selena sighed an winced "yes i rember shadow ,an your right it probly would have been different if we did thing differently we'd probly still be married " selena winced those memories we still to fresh for her to think about with out wanting to cry which selena knew shadow felt too "but i guess it just wasnt in the cards for us then vir ....."selena shakes her head "you saw how well that went an now luther " selena wanted to cry hearing that he knew what type of misson is was "an...an .....he didnt say anything knowing full well "selena closed her eyes an the gigles" you know shadow you an luther are alot alike you both did thing with out telling me espcaily if they were dangours " selena laughs " im sure you two would be great friends once he get back ,an you could help more then i could im sure having been there your self " selena shruged "i know kashen isnt like any man ive meet before being a demon an all" selena smirks hearing about how the torment changed people it made selena shiver selena felt cold an walked close to shadow an lended againt him " i know ,i know it almost time to give him the ring he a grown young man now with childern of his own on the way "selena smiled warmly like she used to be everything had happen "rose she so innocent an yes i know shell get her to when she ready for it ,"selena smrisk"shadow they never wanted anything more the for you to be there father an marcus even tho he says nothing just want to make you proud of him an to show up tirstian" selena gigles" just like sibblings always tryin to out do each other " selena looked at shadow "shadow do me this one thing for old time sake " selena bite her lower lip an looked at shadow "kiss me like you did when we were married jjust once " selena sighed "then when i wake up if you want we can go back to pretending we dont still love each other ,an i'll go back to my childern with luther an wait for him to return"

Rainick came back to his sinces and Knocked on selena's door "it's just me, i wanted to check if you were ok selena, i noticed before that you were being carried by shadow" he waited for a response. i might be able to do something to help, i hope that when the time comes theres something i an do for them, and i hope marcus and sajuuk are ok i did leave in a hurry when i was finished
