There was one small disadvantage to his breath powers.....it was a rather lengthy wait, which rendered his jaws useless for the duration of the build up. Well, not completely useless, but fire magic had a way of back firing if you were too impatient.

For now all Sibrar could do was make sure that the bird didn't get away, as least long enough for him to cook him up. But that didn't mean that Sibrar couldn't attack with his claws, which was exactly what he did. With his front paws he dove for the bird, not intending to inflict any major damage, just make sure it couldn't get away.

He took the blade and resheathed it and began picking up his oils, screwing tops and tucking them away into hidden pockets. There was no way in hell she was going alone. Following along after her, he slid on behind her on the nightmare to stop her. "What's up?"

It was to be said that when he was aware of such things, he was a fast and nimble little bird. Then again he didn't like the soot thing so thus he was doing his best to avoid said dragon until his backup arrived.

A blink at the added weight and then the voice clued her in as well as the scent that stuck to him. He was coming? Shaking her head she gave a kick to the animal to get it going. "Chylithair is having a bit of trouble and needs some help."

Savryn shortly showed up, her length of travel eased considerably. But she was not happy with the sounds going on. Blind eyes blinked as she tried to unravel it in her head and unable to, on with the sight jacking. Which meant the falcon's eyes glowed as he watched his attacker.

Oh hell no that thing was not trying to eat her bird! No one tried to get her Chylithair. Thusly it was a manner of necromantic fun...first target in on his life force and a flare of green energy around her hand. Now, envision the heart, hear it's beats...and squeeze. Closing her fingers with another flare of green energy. That should get it good. Meanwhile a look turned over her shoulder to Kelligrin. "I thought you hated Chylithair."

To say that Sibrar was in pain would have been a gross understatement....magic and from the smell of it necromancy. Though Sibrar knew nothing of how to use those skills he knew enough to know when he was being attacked by it. Too bad that did nothing to help bis current situation.

It felt as though his heart was being placed in a vice, sending waves of pain shooting throughout his entire body. And as any one in pain would, he opened his snout to scream in pain, completely forgetting about the magic that he was trying to build up in his stomach.

Luckily for him, enough time had passed for the backfire to be only minimally damaging, but the blast still slammed into the ground, coupled with the pain in his heart which was growing faster by the minute. Sibrar knew that if he was going to survive he needed to act quickly.

Shifting effortlessly into his elven form, his hands moved swiftly and elegantly, removing his bow, grabbing two arrows from there quiver upon his back and placing them into the bow, there poison tips pointed with deadly accuracy at the hearts of the two that had just rode in, on some fire breathing horse no less.

"Dearest Lady, I implore you to remove your spell from my heart.....before it causes the death of all us." his voice was shaky but resolve. He just hoped that his threat worked.

Seeing the situation Chy had gotten himself into really made Kelligrin wan to giggle maniacally. Stupid bird. But Savryn cared about him and he didn't really hate the bird, just the fact that it hated him. "I don't hate him. I don't love him or anything but I don't want to see him torn to pieces either." Watching the dragon and noting the black scales as well as the breath weapon. Hmm... And then he shifted into neutral form and Kelligrin's hands tightened on his various daggers. "I wouldn't let those arrows loose if I were you." Because a rune would stop them and reverse their path.

The thud of dragon to ground that caused the reverberation with it did not make her happy. After all, it made her world and her mental maps move in unhappy manner. However that world was thrown over even more by the feeling of change in body ways and as well as the new voice. Necromantic energy disappearing from her hand in spell cancellation, a chain was unfurrled from her forearm and the blade attached to the end was grasped and brandished before the familair weight of Chylithair was on her shoulder once more. A peek through Kelligrin's eyes, "Shapeshifter, though not of the normal kind I've seen here...makes you even more a threat."

Hunter was lounging on the Chimera, idly playing with a dagger now while his crew was getting everything in order to leave. they better be leaving quickly since he was rapidly getting tired of this place and those in it. though he had a conversation with Richards about how things went, and gave a nod and went into his cabin with his first mate to plan their next move.

Desdemona was more then eager to leave as well, and get away from those stuffy silvers, especially that one. but she was lounging at the moment mostly naked at the bow of the ship, sunning herself.

If Sibrar wished to survive this encounter then he was going to have to take a chance, since there was no point in getting into a serious battle over a simple misunderstanding.

Slowly loosening the tautness of his bow he lowered the points of his arrows so that they pointed away from the two strangers removing them altogether and replacing them into the quiver he rose, the spell which bound his heart like a vice no longer in place, Sibrar gave a soft sigh of relief. And smiled, a rather half croocked grin, like a boy that had just been caught with his hands in the cookie jar.

Judging from the actions of the bird, and the actions of the female, it was clear who the owner was and so he directed his words to her. "Please m'lady I meant no disrespect, had I known that this noble bird had an owner and was not merely a creature of the wild I would not have attacked him with such malice." his words were sincere and straight forward.

"My name is Sibrar dear lady, and you are right. In this world I am unique." he said with a bow, the next move was hers to make.

The dragon hadn't hardly even been able to chew on the bird which Kelligrin wouldn't have minded in the least. Sure, it seemed silly but Chy was always trying to peck his eyes out. He leaned back as the bird was suddenly in his face and muttered a few choice words under his breath then threw his attention to the...elf once more. Shapeshifter indeed. Which threw out those other questions entirely. Noble bird? Give him a break. "Honest mistake, he's a source of food." He relaxed only when Sibrar put away his weapons. "What brings you out here, shapeshifter?"

Chy was more content to hunker down on Savryn's shoulder than to do any fussing over Kelligrin being in his space. Yes he considered Savvy his space and Kelligrin was much to close to his space. But that could be delt with later.

"I'm sure that you learned he leaves a bad taste anyway. Should have guessed then." The smell of soot on Chylithair was unmistakeable to her. A frown however...she wasn't sure what was going on since she couldn't watch him, nor read his face. It was infuriating. Kelligrin didn't help though. "Hunting obviously, there's no other reason to be out in this forsaken place." Still brandishing her own chained dagger...she wasn't comfortable yet.

Another soft chuckle, and a cocked eyebrow. Sibrar was after all a hunter, not an exceptional one but a hunter nonetheless. This meant that he was always mindful of his surroundings, and was an eager observer of the world around him. It was the reason he still looked at the female elf with a cocked eyebrow, something wasn't right, she was looking in his general direction, but she wasn't SEEING him. It made Sibrar slightly nervous, he was never fond of strange things. Noticing that the woman had yet to remove her weapons Sibrar placed his hand delicately on the hilt of a small dagger that he kept at his side. Though daggers were not his weapons of choice, he could handle his own if need be.

Turning his sights upon the male, he answered the question which had posed to him. "I come into these barrens lands for the same reason that the hawk did, for food. Though I must admit that it was not the wisest decision that I have made." he chuckled slightly.

For a long moment, there was nothing but silence between the group, but that was soon broken; by the quite audible sound of his empty stomach making his presence known.

He didn't appreciate Savryn's sarcasm but thought better of telling her about it just then. He wasn't talking about this area, he was talking about this side of the plane altogether. There weren't many shapeshifters on plane that were not Laerethe and it had him quite uncertain at this moment in time. Rolling his eyes at the sound, he dug in one of his pouches and tossed the stranger a bag of jerky. "Here. Say thank you and I'll slit your throat. I can't stand no contest fights."

Deep blue tipped ears twitched at that familiar sound and she frowned before shaking her head and flipping the blade in her hand so that it was pointed down, other hand taking the chain and winding it around her gauntlet, hooking the blade afterward. "By the way you might want to rinse your mouth out...that stuff can be poisonous." Scartching Chy's feathers as if to say 'good poisonous soot birdy'. "Word to the wise, if you go farther, you may be the vicitim of food as well. Our hosts don't like strangers." Elbowing Kelligrin, almost missing him though. "Better get back to there. My stuff is on that ship."

Sibrar smile once again, as he removed a small piece of the meat which he had been handed by the stranger and began to work on it. "Then I suppose that I will have to gain my strength back and give you that fair fight I suppose" he said with a soft turning his attentions back to the female.

"A boat? Would it be unwise of me to ask if I may join you two. I have not had traveling companions in well over six months, and it would be it an added change, to be in such company." his voice went silky smooth as he spoke the last part of that sentence, though it was unclear and whom he had directed that comment, and he wasn't about to state it either.

Kelligrin's gaze swam over the shapshifter and he sneered. Just what they needed, another tagalong. He didn't like that change of tone either. "If you think you can survive with us, that's up to the ones who lead our little entourage." Clicking his tongue to the horse and jerking his head back towards the position of the boat. "I'd suggest you come along and we'll see if you're....worthy."
