The look Shinratsu gave the client was cold...condescending. "Don't look down on us." Came his quiet reply. "Have you ever seen real demons?" His family's massacre...with the two oujis that were used...they had disappeared without a trace. No corpses to be recovered. Even if there was a remaining fragment alive in Kiri...there would be no burials, no allowed mournings on account of the "crime"...

What makes this old man think that he fears such a thing... He had seen it happen before. Living people, disappearing from all traces of existence in a single moment's breath... Strong shinobi too are hailed as demons. The corpses...destroyed... If his suspicion is correct...these culprits should be no different. A memory flickered in mind, the devastating widespread damage...snow and ice on the ground...and corpses shattering into oblivion. No blood stained the ground but his father's...

Only ice.

Shinratsu said nothing though as he began aiding Shizuka in moving the gold bars. Unlike the Henka, he was raised in an affluent environment, so seeing jewels and precious metals didn't in the slightest faze his opinions. Scorn. There were only scorn at the old man's words, for his contempt. What matters rank?

Wait for it wait for itttt, her it comes. "bonk!" Once again giglamesh would bonk shinratsu on the top of the head to with the back of his hand, makeing the wood clacking noise as he did. "Werent you just given a order!?" giglamesh continued to hold his right fist up showing shin the back of it a vein pulsing on it and on temple (even though he has the glove on and metal plate on back of hand its anime style the black lines pulseing over it.) He was surely going to bonk him again if he didnt listen, it was incredibly important he listened to every order, they werent on the mission yet but would be soon enough.

"SHIZUKA! dont even think of eyeing that gold.....you try to keep any of it and they will most likely label you a rouge ninja..." Giglamesh was dead serious this was a incredibly important setup, if anything went wrong the village could perhaps go to war if any thing was to happen to this gold. Then why was gig not going, and why werent they something more along the lines of anbu guards and this beng classes a s-rank mission, something was odd about this.

Shinratsu was unfazed. "...which was to load gold, and executed." He had a point there. That was the only order given, and he was following it. Nothing said about communication with the clients.

The boy eyed the injured one again, with a very different look than his usually blank expression...and his eyes darkened. He dropped his voice, so that only Giglamesh next to him could hear. But the meaning of the words said, while relating to the true meaning, were much different if interpreted incorrectly.

"If this cargo is so important..." If this could start a war... His eyes narrowed. "If the attackers truly were so terrifying..." Dark blue, almost onyx in hue, so unlike their usual pale gray. Then why is even one alive? A slight smirk now. "Entrusting we Genins...Iwa must be shorthanded." And why are we Genin on a national security level mission? As well as glaringly, wrongly classified mission. The old geezers on the Council must've fallen asleep.

Amaya wandered along, walking up to those who had gathered around Giglamesh so far. It was going to be a bit of an adjusted to work with a whole new cell, but she really wasn't the type to let that effect her. Sure she got along better on her own, and she was really just starting to get the hang of working with her own cell, but adapting to this change, especially on a mission, could mean the difference between life and death. So she wouldn't be difficult. She would try..

The now freshly restocked satchel at her side was slung over her shoulder as she walked up to them. "Gig-sensei..." she offered in greeting. She then looked to the other two gennin who were present. She knew that one of the boys in Gig's cell was Raisuke and he hadn't arrived yet. So that meant the boy she saw was Shinratsu and the girl was Shizuka. "Oi..." she said, simply raising a hand to greet them.

"Oh man.. im so late.." Raisuke was running at his full speed to try to get back to the village. He didn't have much time to make it or he might get left behind. and he knew that Giglamesh-sensei wouldn't let that fly. He would probably beat the crap out of him personally if he missed it. As he neared the area he saw a wagon. A man in a wheel chair was rolling away as Raisuke passed, almost running into him. Raisuke had to leap to the side, losing his footing from the surprise he landed on his face sliding a bit.

He slid right up to the feet of his sensei. Slowly pushing himself up he would dust himself off and look up to him. "Sorry I am late. I suppose I missed the briefing already?" He was late for a reason. Since he was in the gorge he felt off. He felt some.. familiar presence that reminded him of his old home. He didn't know what it was, but he just couldn't shake it. Raisuke was distracted enough that he didn't even realize that his three gennin friends were also there, though he expected two of them to be.

"Ahh!" With Giglamesh shouting out her name, the gold bar jumped out of her hands and was juggled a bit by the Henka clan member. She would then catch it and would sigh in relief. "Yo!" The blonde Kunoichi would wave at Amaya and Raisuke. "About time you two made it here, I thought Shinratsu and me would be packing the gold up by our selves." Shizuka laughed a bit as she put the gold into the wagon. "Finally, we're off..." "That should be all of them...lets go guys!" Shizuka would follow the wagon out of her village and towards the mountains.

Giglamesh would see raisuke had finally caught up and giglamesh would knock against the side of the wagon telling the wagon driver they were nearly ready. "All right you four listen up i want each of you to stay at a corner of this wagon moving along side it untill it reaches the Earth nation border, i dont want a single scratch to come on to this wagon, your transporting roughly around two tons of gold bars....if this gold dossent get to the fire diamyo then we might be at warm with konoha, under the diamyo's orders understand ...good. Protecting this is the mission out line, if anything happens to it the mission is a failure, and ill be worse than anything out there if you ******** up my one hundred percent mission completion record......with that i will not be going i will keep in contact with one person which will act as the teams commander, that will be you shinratsu. Do not question it this is the way it is no negotiation's make sure you listen closely to the wagon coach driver now move out!" Giglamesh would walk behinde the wagon and handed everybody a walkie talkie that had a ear piece connected, the same they had used on the last mission, wich consisted of both a radio and a piece that went over the ear and came down also as a mic.

The wagon coach grabbed the reins to the horse drawn wagon. "Well kiddos...i hope you youngins is fast.....you gonna haf to be to keep up wit ol red here ehehhhe YAH!" The old man would whip the reins and the horse would neigh loudly and take off quite rapidly, the old man wassent jokeing the horse was extremely fast, and as the horse took off giglamesh would literately turn and leave the other way. The wagon was flying threw the main road of Iwgakure and incredible speed, the genin were going to have to run full speed simply to keep up with the what seemed race horse. They would continue right threw the main road east untill the came to the village gate and they would pass threw in to the eastern Otouto moutians, with that the mission had begun.

It was an almost scoffable idea. War with Konoha? Konoha and Iwa probably was in the best position for a potential friendship since six hundred long years. Giglamesh may fool Shizuka...Giglamesh may even believe he was fooled...but Shinratsu knew better. That man was not dangerous. In fact, it was rather the opposite.

Though strong, the Hokage fortunately happened to share...much in common virtue-wise with his other half... Bull-headed, with a stubborn sense of justice... Though in actuality, convincing would be a simple task, if done correctly. But with the factor that he had lost dominant role...if he could only get his pathetic, uselessly kinder side to... He doesn't understand, anyways. If the Sannins from Konoha are here... A growing smirk. Why not use them to the fullest advantage?

Through half lidded eyes, Shinratsu seemed to register Raisuke's arrival. His eyes closed gradually...

...and when he reopened them, they had returned to their usual pale blue-gray hue. "Understood." Tiger. Using chakra like a trampoline, Shinratsu sped off, keeping up with the wagon. Looks like he'll be in a good position to start Shunshin no Jutsu when he returns... He certainly understood and applied the principles of the earlier chakra control lessons.

Amaya watched the young girl known as Shizuka as she enthusiastically introduced herself, even offering her hand in a gesture of greeting. She wasn't quick to take that hand, not becuase she had a problem with it, but because it was just odd. Amaya couldn't recall ever meeting anyone so bubbly other than Ryoko sensei and even she didn't do physical contact. Unless its a super embarrassing slap on the a**...Amaya thought bitterly remembering that dreadful day spent working at the Curry Cafe.

Thankfully, Gig's mission brief would take up its level of importance and all who were present seemed to stop to listen to him. Once the details were layed out, Amaya took the equipment he passed along to everyone and attached it to herself securely. A war was on the line...all over a few bars of gold? She understood the politics that oozed from that situation, but it didn't mean she found it any less disgusting.

And then the old man shouted out with a "YAH", and the first task of their mission had begun. More running of course. Amaya took to a place behind the wagon, staying close to it, but also making sure she could keep an eye on Shinratsu. If he was the point of contact between them and Gig-sensei, then an extra pair of eyes would need to remain on the boy, least anything happen to him and they all go down with no communication.

Raisuke would hear Shizuka's greeting and not really say much. Because while they were off playing him and Amaya were still training. Only natural it would take them longer. ". . .heh. Looks like its already loaded." He would then turn his attention to his sensei and hear the mention of war. Would there really be war over something as futile as some gold bars? If it was so important why were they sending gennin? Wouldn't it make more sense to send ninja originally from Konoha? There were several refugees in the village of that origin already.

Raisuke's eye started to twitch when he heard that Shinratsu was going to lead this little venture. Rai took his radio and sort of Giglamesh a kind of 'a*****e' glare. Getting set up he would start to run behind the wagon until he caught up. It was off to the mountains now..

Entering the village was problematic. Or to be more exact...it was a problem trying to convince the sentries without visa papers. "Look." Said Yuumei, angrily. "You can even contact Otogakure and all that jazz later, if you like. I don't even care if the ANBU holds me custody. But I have an injured boy with me, and he needs to get to the hospital." "Whoa...lady...we can't just let you pass. You don't have any form of identification, not even a headband."

"How many times do I have to tell you?" Yuumei stomped her foot, impatiently. These fools! One could tell them the same thing a thousand times, but it still doesn't go through their rocky skulls. "How on earth was I supposed to get a visa, when there was a kidnapping? And do the Sannins of your village wear headbands?" She had a point. It was an honour that came with the rank, also with the wandering privilege.

Kiroshiro behind her, sighed, an unconscious Akeru resting in his paws. This was going to take a while... Thank goodness Yuumei was a medic-nin and at least healed the boy's physical injuries...

Nikolai heard the commotion. But he was drawn by a completely different feeling. As the man strode to the gate, his features looked gentle, kind, and yet.... His skin was... crawling. Underneath his skin, what looked like hundreds of vines were slithering and pulling him towards the scene... Towards the blood. The scythe on his back glinted in the light, and his violet eyes pierced through what little distance remained as if it were a tangible substance. He knelt, overly formally, to the women, in rank form high to low, and then the men, muttering a soft greeting to each as his fists touched the earth. "May I be of service?" The vines beneath his skin stilled, by no small effort and amount of blood of his own.
PostPosted: Sun Jan 25, 2009 9:37 am

Before Nikolai had arrived, Yuumei was rowing with the sentry captain now. "I don't care then! Bring a doctor! Just do something for that child!" Villagers were gathering now, watching the commotion. The motherly kunoichis felt sorry for the poor boy, in his bloodstained clothes...but the male shinobi warned, that child himself might be dangerous. The sentries seemed to have thought something along the same lines.

"But ma'am...we saw child Sannins before..." It was a misunderstanding, of course, but the sentry captain couldn't have known: Zephyr was in a Henge. Ah. So the Hokage causes problems (inconveniences), even if unknowingly. Of course, the sentries still had...unwelcome memories of trees sprouting from the ground and leaving them hanging there for most of the night.

Her nostrils flared. "Listen, you. Does his chakra feel anywhere the carrying capability of a Sannin? He's a Student, an Academy Student of Oto - the Otokage's baby cousin. I want to ask in the first place, why on earth...why on earth was his kidnappers fleeing to Earth Country in the first place!" Yuumei seemed dangerously close to spearing the sentry captain like a fish - if he didn't shut up anytime soon.

Instead, a voice drew her attention.

And Yuumei pleaded to Nikolai. "Please! They would not be reasoned with. Help the child!"

Nikolai decided that to talk to the guards -who knew nothing of his bloodline- he would need to be slightly theatrical to get them to see this his way. "Tell me, sirs.... What do you know of that ancient, demon rose, the Takani?" He saw their eyes as they recalled some of the horror stories. "It knows when someone is about to die... It knows exactly what you are thinking, and it calls itself to the site before the blood is spilt..." The vines beneath his skin writhed, one of them slithering a path up his face and across his forehead, oddly foreboding... "There have been stories of this plant coexisting with humans... And it is said to pull them to these sites as well..." The vines writhed again, as if testifying to this power. "I ask you now... If this child was a sannin... If this child was a horrible, destructive monster... What power must his keeper --who sustained no injuries while the child was so obviously harmed-- what power must this person have? Believe me, I do not question your powers at all, gentlemen... In fact, I reside in Iwa almost solely for the fact that its protective forces are unparalleled... however... I wonder what that ancient creature... That demon, trapped by vine and thorn.... Might see of this same situation... And what a mother might see, of guards who wouldn't entrust she and her son to medical care in the most well-protected village in the world?" And suddenly, black thorns began pressing from underneath Nikolai's skin, as if they were tasting the air and waiting for bloodshed.

"I would ask only that you allow them into the village under my supervision... And that any actions they perform in the village are punishable to me. I would not desire anything to happen here... And how would it look if Iwagakure, the most prominent village of them all.... Was lowered to fighting refugees who come in the name of peace, and seek only that their infirm be healed?"
